((Short post ftw!))
A few minutes later Minato came out of his focus. He wondered if he was in his meditative state long. He turned to see Captain Yukimaru still standing and watching. He was extremely calm now, super relaxed. He was happy with what he learned, he would have considered today quite successfull by his standards.
"So the point of this, is to know your zanpakuto's name right?"

Yuki gave him a look that told him he wasn't listening well enough to her first speech. Arthion behind her was containing a huge toothy grin, that was rather scary considering he was simply trying to bite back some more laughter. With a sigh she shook her head.
"No, you weren't listening. You want to find out what it looks like when manifested. The chances of you finding out it's name is infinitely small... The point of this exercise is so that when your ready to get shikai, and I start beating the holy s**t out of you until you hear and see your Zanpacto clear as day, you don't think your hallucinating and I kill you for being too stupid to recognize yourself."
She said, getting blatant and graphic with her descriptions in her frustration. Even though the statement of killing off one of her own students, for the crime of being stupid, could be taken as a joke if not for the serious look in her eyes as she glared at Minato.

Minato was scared shitless by Captain Yukimaru, his face grew pale again, and he now felt completely inferior.
"I...I'm sorry... I tried to look for something but all I could see was a silhouette in the distance..."
He looked at the ground sadly that he hadn't really accomplished anything. He accually thought he found something, but he hadn't remembered what he was looking for exactly, he just wanted to know if there was more to it.
"I'm sorry for wasting your time with me..."

Yuki was two seconds away from ripping her hair out, Arthion shot a jet of fire out from his nose as he stifled a laugh. He was such an idiot! He was close enough to taste his zanpacto's spirit and he was apologizing to her for no reason and not chasing after it? With a huge regal sigh, Arthion tapped Yuki on the head with a talon. Letting her know that he was going to give it a shot.
"There is nothing to be sorry for, you are still learning, and the point of us being here is to teach you... Now, sit down and try it this way."
He nudged Yuki with the tip of his nose, she crossed her arms with a huff as if she was pouting at being upstaged by the higher form of herself. The dragon gave her another nudge and puffed more smoke in her face before she slapped the dragon and focused the riatsu of her Zanpacto, forcing it into the visible spectrum along with her own riatsu, like Arthion was asking of her.
"Now, take note that I glow a deep black red... wile Yuki is blue. Your Zanpacto too has a unique riatsu signature, different from your own. Try starting on the physical object, and working backwards to find the metaphysical being inside yourself... That might be easier... And try seeing him rather than hearing, he is not strong enough to speak to you yet."
With another huff Yuki crossed her arms and looked away, feeling indignant now that she had been shown up by herself.

"Okay then, I'll try it again."
Minato stared at his zanpakuto for a while, it took him a few minutes to go back to the place he was at before, the place enveloped in the deathly purple fog. He focused on himself, looking for something that could resemble himself. He saw the sillohouette in the distance once again, he followed it, but once he was halfway there it vanished into a plume of the same purple mist floating in the air. He concentrated, commanding the shadow to come back, then the fog suddenly started to sweep to a point in front of him, forming into something. Was this it? After the gust from the conjuration ended he focused on the newly appeared figure. He looked at it with awe, it was a large Eagle, with black feathers, and the same hue of purple he had seen as the mist were now formed into feathers lining the edge of it's wings and had an aura of the same color, the spirit opened it's eyes after it was fully formed, it's eyes were completely white, no pupil or anything to tell where it was looking. He looked at his own hands and saw that, like Yukimaru, was eminating a glow as well, a pale orange. The spirit let out a cry, then he was back to sitting on the ground infront of his zanpakuto.

Yuki turned her attention back to the student at he focused inwards and actually got somewhere with for his efforts. Arthion smiled and looked at her clearly saying 'see, you just have to be patient'. She hardly looked at him before shoving his muzzle away in frustration. She hated it when he did that! As Minato came back to them, still faintly glowing orange from his inner adventure to enlightenment she clapped unenthusiasticly.
"Congratulations, your one step closer to not dieing when you attempt shikai."
She said, a little peeved that Arthion could pull off a lesson better than she could. She stood up and sheathed her Zanpacto. As Arthion slowly dissapeared he said his parting words with an unusually cheery air, of victory.
"Class dismissed."
Yuki turned around to leave, Arthion had pritty much said it all, and with no one else around to coach, and the kid having already gotten the hang of this weeks lesson, class was over.

((Whoop whoop!!))
Minato stood up and put his zanpakuto back into the scabbard. One step closer to not dying when I attempt shikai? Is she really going to beat the s**t out of me? He stood up and bowed and smiled to Yukimaru and her zanpakuto.
"Thank you for teaching me Captain, and... her Zanpakuto."
He turned to leave as well while thinking about what kind of power his zanpakuto would have. The spirit that appeared in his meditation was intense, and must have power to match it, but would he ever even be able to gain control of it?

Amie entered the training grounds, slightly weary from the past few days escapades. Arcane, Espada, raging captain battles. There had been a lot. But it had definately refined some of her niave nature. Especially whom she put trust into. She sighed at the memory, but then perked up. The last training session had ended in a mishap, so now was a great time to change things around. It seemed she was the first to arrive, so she would wait patiently until the others arrived.

Yuki ran into the training grounds, she was so LATE! Even though it was just a catch up corse for those who had missed the first lesson she should have been the first one there, as the captain and all. When she saw Amie there before her she sighed. Curse it all!
"Sorry I'm late, I hope you weren't waiting too long."
Yuki said, looking around for anyone else who had come on time.

Eguchi quietly perked up as the captain came closer. He shook his head at her. "I was late as well. So it's no real hard feelings." He stood taller now that his captain was present, his reitsu showing small signs of embarassment.

Amie smiled sympathtically. "Don't worry, my fault for missing anyways" She walked over to be in front of her captain, and silently blamed her missing on the Squad 12 captain not being in his office. Where was he, anyways? "Ready to proceed."

Yuki checked her shadow for a quick reffrence on the time. She was going to be late for that meeting. Curse them all for craming her shedual so close today!! She was almost swearing with frustration.
"Ok, I was going to teach you how to contact your Zanpacto, but I don't have time for that. So, kido lesson in high speed... It's done like this"
She held out the palm of her hand and focused Riatsu, as quickly as possible.
"Hado 31: Shot of Red Fire"
A gout of flame shot out and hit a dummy across the field.
"Any questions?"

Eguchi stared in slight amazement as the shot was fired. Blinking as it destroyed the dummy across the way. He stepped forward a little bit and then seemd to make a mental decision as what to do next. His gaze turned towards his palm. "Is it really as simple as that looked?" He asked as he looked back up at his captain. "Just aim and shout the incantation?"

Amie watched carefully as she casted, for she realized her captain had very little time. Amie exchanged a glance with Eguchi, then stared back at the fried dummi. Ok.....this doesn't look extremely difficult. She listned to her comrade, then decided to take a crack.
Amie straightened her legs, and aimed her hand. "Hado number 31, shot of red fire!" She focused reitsu, and aimed her hand at the dummy. Her hand glowed red, then faded. This may...er...not be so easy...
Amie frowned, and she could imagine the giant sweat bubble falling from her forehead. "I think there may be some tactic we're missing."
