Kaimi glanced over, admiring the tail. "It's pretty." She grinned. "I wish I had a tail. Is it really cool to share dreams with someone?"

She thought about it. Then she thought some more. "I don't know," she said finally. "Is it cool having one all to yourself?"

Kaimi shrugged. "I dont know. I guess so. I like having dreams, but I think it would be neat to know someone else was dreaming the same thing."

Somehow, though, Kash already knew that there were some definite problems with the set up. "But what if you're having an embarrassing dream?" she asked. "Or your sister's having a nightmare? Then you get dragged into it, even though you really wanted to dream about, I don't know, bunnies or something. But you can't, cuz she's dreaming about something horrible."

This thought had not previously occurred to Kaimi. "You're right, that would be pretty horrible. I dont think I'd like to have to share nightmares with anyone... It would be cool if you could choose between the two dreams, though. And then just pick the better one. Except you might not always agree on which one was better..." Kaimi gave a little shrug. The concept was much more complex than she'd initially thought. "I dont know. I guess I'll just be happy it's just me in my dreams."

"Yeah," Kash said. "It sounds nice." She sighed. "But it's fun sometimes, though," she said, cheering up again. "Like when we did Little Red Riding Hoods!"

Kaimi smiled, laying back on one of the benches. "Hey..." She sat back up suddenly, seeming unable to really settle or stay still for long. "I've got some sandwiches in my locker. You hungry?"

"But won't we get caught?" Kash asked, looking up from her ringpop. "Oh, I got an extra ringpop!" It was supposed to be a gift for Kaimi, anyway, she thought philosophically as she dug it out of the pouch hanging from her hip. "Want it? It's blueberry," she said, offering it to the other girl.

"Ooh! Thanks!" Kaimi took the treat and unwrapped it, sticking it on her finger. "It's great!" She sucked on it thoughtfully for a moment, long enough for her tongue to start changing color. "We could get caught. But almost getting caught is part of the fun!" Kaimi giggled.

Kash grinned. "Not if you ask my Papa," she told her. "He says the best way to do anything is to not get caught at all." And he was a lawyer, so he should know.
She nearly jumped out of her skin as the school bell rang. "Whoops," she said. "We should get back to get our stuff, you know?"

Kaimi stood up and grinned. "At least I managed to miss the rest of math class! Thank you for the ring pop, Kashmira. It was good meeting you! We should do this again sometime, somewhere less stinky."

"Absolutely," Kashmira said with a grin before running out of the bathroom to get to Study Hall.
