"Now now, that's hardly fair," Mortimer chided gently, half at the music for coming to a close, and half at her for making those remarks about the girl who was unfortunate enough to be with the boy who continued to stare at Victoria in a way that he found to be quite offensive.

His eyes had drifted closed as Mortimer enjoyed the last dying chords of the piece when he felt something graze his cheek. He stiffened for a moment as his grey eyes snapped open, wary and uncertain, until he caught sight of Victoria's face withdrawing from his.

"Ah," he murmured, slightly taken aback. It had been so long since he had held the hands of another-even longer since another's lips had graced his cheeks with their presence. Yet here in the course of an afternoon he was dancing and laughing as if the last pair of centuries had slipped by virtually unnoticed.

Places change, Mortimer. People change. But not your heart; not you. Immortality is a gift, remember? A way for you to partake in the ever-changing joys and desires of humanity, a secret place in his mind whispered to him. Unlike Christoph, it was a gentle presence. One that he trusted with his many secrets-this second Mortimer-whose words filled the many tomes stacked in his study.

Ah, you know me too well, Victor. Mortimer was glad that his poetic self did not find that worthy of a response. Mortimer was willing to admit that Victor was a part of him, something he never envisioned himself doing for Christoph.

He smiled broadly at Victoria, then, dropping his hand from her waist as he bowed to her once more. "I trust that you enjoyed yourself, then, Victoria?" he asked softly, his grey eyes shining with contentment as he caught sight of her radiant expression. Smiles, too, he had missed.

Victoria shrugged. "Its true though. If he keeps giving me those disgusting looks then he doesn't deserve to be with her." It was true. If he liked the girl he was with he wouldn't be staring at her. He wouldn't be wasting the girl's time who kept scolding him.

She nodded causing her hair to bounce lightly around her. "It was really fun. I hadn't danced like that in a while. Thank you." She said truthfully. "Hopefully i wasn't too horrible as a dancer." She joked lightly.

The girls didn't seem to give up though and it annoyed her. Sneering in their direction she tried to figure out why they didn't get the big picture. "I think your admirers fancy you even more now after seeing you dance. They have reason too though." Victoria said, a small returning to her face as she turned her gaze back to Mortimer.

"Oh no," Mortimer said, defending her own dancing skills. "You were quite lovely," he added, his grey eyes drifting away from her face to those of the girls as the conversation turned to them once more.

"Hmm," he whispered as one of them met his eyes and suddenly became rather slack-jawed and empty eyed. He blinked and the girl's friend jabbed her sharply with a fingernail and she jerked to attention, blinking her confusion away by fluttering her long eyelashes at him.

Sadly, Mortimer found this a little funny and he couldn't hide an amused snort which offended the girl a bit. Her sniffling was audible even on their side of the square. "Let us redirect them, shall we?" Scanning the surrounding crowd, he sighed and focused on the girls, holding their eyes in turn.

Both of them got that same slack-jawed and softly drooling look on their faces before it suddenly cleared and, all smiles once more, the girls bounced off to the other boy, chattering excitedly.

"Well at least they won't follow us anymore," Mortimer said, running a hand through his dark locks.

Smiling pleased with herself she crossed her arms. When the girls found someone else to peruse she laughed. "They sure are quick to find someone else, finally."Victoria said.

Returning her attention to Mortimer. "Now. What would you like to do first in this wonderful mall?" She asked linking her arms with his. Walking towards the entrance she inwardly sighed. If her sister happened to show up it wouldn't go very well. Pushing the thought of her sister showing up from her mind she focused on having fun with Mortimer showing him around.

I don't know about wonderful, Mortimer thought as he felt her steering him toward the entrance of the Mall. Thankfully she hadn't asked him what he'd done to those girls. On that note, Mortimer cast a wary glance in her direction, easing himself back into a more cheerful state as he realized that she hadn't seemed to notice he'd done anything at all. Truthfully, he only felt badly for the girl who was with the boy. The two girls who had been fawning over him deserved a bit more meddling for attempting to ruin his evening.

Sighing softly, Mortimer shook his head, suddenly aware that Victoria was speaking to him. That just wouldn't do, his feeling guilty for other people causing trouble...even if he had meddled just a teensy bit.

As they passed through the double-doors, Mortimer took a half-step back in surprise at the sheer size and grandeur of the structure he had just entered. "Honestly, love, I have no idea. You pick."

Victoria giggled as he stepped back. "Its alright. Then i say we go shopping." She said reassuring him as they stepped into the busy mall. Victoria had to reassure herself though. Big crowds or place with a lot of places freaked Victoria out to an extent but she was somewhat used to it now.

Her eyes scanned the crowds of people. Stepping closer to Mortimer she looked at some of the nearby shops. "What kind of style do you want to go for?" She questioned unsure of what kind of store to take him to. Each store had a different genre of clothing and accessories.

Victoria stiffened when she caught sight of a tall blond much like herself bounce happily into a store. That scent. It was a scent much like hers but Victoria's scent was more flowery and naturey. Biting her lip she looked away from the girl and back at the other shops and then to Mortimer.

Strolling happily through the mall Lena found the shop she was looking for. Hot topic. Christmas was in a three weeks as she had a lot of shopping to do for her friends. The mall was more crowded then usual because of the upcoming Holiday but she managed to maneuver her way around people without touching them. When she entered the beloved store she paused momentarily when she caught whiff of something. Sneering hatred boiled inside her. Victoria was close by. "Why would she be here? She knows not to be near my clan." Lena muttered angrily walking through the store. She didn't want to cause a scene and risk getting innocent people hurt she watched Victoria and a man she vaguely remembered as one of her visitors. I'll have to keep a close eye on them.

"Eh...," Mortimer started, scanning the various shops that were within sight, attempting to ignore the rather large crowds. "Ah," he began again, this time trailing off as he caught sight of a blonde in the near distance, a vaguely perfumey scent wafting down to him. He sniffed delicately, trying to place it...and failing.

Perhaps not in that direction, he thought as he caught her staring. Mortimer was not fond of the look in her eyes. "So...shopping," he said, finally regaining what little composure he had left. "Perhaps something similar...but with a bit less lace," he muttered, lifting up a layer of the ruffles that adorned his sleeve. "And something that's a bit less flammable would also be preferred," he added, a soft smile making its way back onto his face.

Glaring one last time in the direction of her so called sister she tore her eyes away back to Mortimer. Forcing a smile she thought about stores that would suit his style needs. Victoria's mind kept pulling her back to Lena. She was angry and wanted to go fight her and the other half wanted to behave for Mortimer.

She sighed in frustration. "I know a store that would be perfect for you. Its called Vintage Age. I'm pretty sure they'd have some nice clothes for you and also cloths that are fire proof. After all a lot of demons and wizards shop there, so they must have something to protect your clothes from burning." Victoria informed him leading him towards the far end of the mall and away from her sister.

Heading to one of the large glass elevators she pushed the button waiting impatiently for it to come back down to them. Feeling dejected she frowned staring at the ground allowing her bangs to cascade in front of her worried blueish eyes.

Her flaring anger got to her when she realized it was one of her guests she was with. He said he wasn't working for her. She growled slightly at the thought of being played for a fool. But, he did say she was a visitor at his home. As the two moved away from the store she silently followed them and walked behind people keeping a vigilant gaze on Victoria.*edited*

"Don't worry about her," Mortimer whispered, jerking his head back toward the woman, his hand hovering just above her shoulder for a moment before he let it fall, giving her shoulder a tight, brief, squeeze before he let his hand slide down completely.

It's rude to interfere where you aren't wanted, he thought, willing the other woman to get the message and retreat. "Must everything conspire against us?" he whispered softly as the glass box, which had apparently fallen from the roof, landed before them its thick doors rolling apart as it opened up with a cheery ding.

"Vintage, huh? Sounds a bit like me, doesn't it?" he remarked with a laugh as he entered the box.

Victoria hissed trying to stay calm. She was following them. This wouldn't end well. When Mortimer's hand landed on her shoulder her features softened for a moment. "I-ii can't." Victoria stuttered looking back at Lena sending her a hate filled look.

When the elevator came down she rushed into it with Mortimer. Much to her dismay Lena got in as well. Looking at Mortimer she mouthed 'sorry' before turning to her sister. "What the hell do you want Lena? Can't you bug off. Or do i have to make you." Victoria said with hatred dripping from her words as she spoke to Lena. "I swear if you do not leave us alone i will rip your vocal cords out so you can't call for help. You friends wont be able to stop me this time." She said barring her fangs.

Following them into the elevator she ignored Mortimer's warning. She ruled this clan and she could do as she pleased. Lena simply laughed at her sister's meaningless threats. "I'm making sure you don't kill anyone mutt." Pressing the stop button she brought them to a stop. "You can't be here. Like you could do anything to hurt me more then you already have to backstabber. I'll kill you before you have a chance." Lena said triggering Victoria's anger. "What did i make you angry? I hate that you look like my mom. You don't deserve to look like her, your an ugly creature." Lena said angering Victoria more. "I hate you. Why can't you leave and stay gone like you always do? I was just barely getting over everything and you show up here of all places." Lena said roughly pinning Victoria to the wall barring her own deadly fangs. "Are you here to just cause more trouble?" Lena pressed as her sister growled at her.

I couldn't believe the nerve of her. Looking down i glared turning my eyes dark purple as rage serged through my veins. The demon in me emerged more with everything she was saying. "I'm not here to kill. I'm here for my own reasons. You know what screw this and screw you. Your just angry i got to spend the last few moments with mom. She was more my mother then yours, thats why she left you. She didn't want you!" She said as she was pinned back by her sister. Her right hand shot out to her sister's stomach slashing at it as she growled loudly pushing her into the glass. Advancing on her she jumped on her taking both of them to the ground. Both hands were at Lena's throat, she dug her nails in drawing blood as her sister clawed and kicked at her. "Die b***h." She seethed losing control. Lena kicked in her in her side causing her wound to reopen and bleed as she punched at Lena.

Mortimer opened his mouth as the other blonde pushed her way into their box, about to ask that she remove herself when Victoria mouthed 'sorry' at him and he promptly shut it as she launched into a verbal tirade at the other woman who...shouted right back.

Wonderful, Mortimer thought. But as long as they didn't do anything other than-"Oh no," he muttered aloud as they began to fight, blood splattering the walls of their glass prison.

His hand grazed the handle of his sword as he drew back against the wooden rail that was set half-way up the wall and he got an idea. Tugging the scabbard free of his belt, Mortimer stepped into the fray, attempting to get between the women in order to break up the fight. "At least take it someplace less visible?" he pleaded as he struggled to find an entry, trying his best to ignore the individual acts of physical violence that were being committed beneath him. "We don't want to have a riot on our hands, now do we?"

Matt walked inside the mall, it had everything it seemed, guns, swords, and everything else. He walked around it and went up two levels, surprised that nobody was there, he held onto the bar on the glass and looked down, there was two women fighting and a guy that looked like he was trying to stop it. Matt decided to not get involved, but would like to watch anyway, his hands got a little slippery and he decided to take his hands off the handles, he wouldn't like to run away from people just because he got a wound from the mouth.....Not again anyway. He decided to go down there and see what they were fighting about. After he was down there, he walked towards them and they looked like twins, because of that, he grabbed a chair from the chair shop and popcorn from the popcorn machine. He set a chair ten feet away from them and he sat on it. He ate popcorn as he watched them fight.

"Nobodies winning really, I'm just watching them fight to the death, because it's fun watching people kill themselves." Matt said, he didn't think of it as cruel, because he wasn't doing the work, they were.
