"That's true, and it's smart of you to be aware of it," Sinzia said, grinning with a wild look in his eye, though he kept himself in check. He bounced on top of a near by rock, the motion bringing him closer to his new acquaintance in one moment, until he bounced back and up onto the medium sized stone, "A lot of us are only out for themselves. Can't be trusted as far as you could tackle us, I think."

His grin only widened, though it seemed a physical impossibility, the strange expression making the line of his mouth curl.

"That's gotta be a fulfilling life, huh?" he said sarcastically, suddenly changing the subject and his menacing, challenging air dropping as quickly as it had come on. Perched on the stone, he puffed out his chest a bit as he attempted to tower over Asadaki, "just knowing one thing and nothing else? I know lots of things. And I gotta tell you, I have fun. Do you have fun? Does your sister? Or is that, uh, not noble enough for you?"

Asadaki looked away, disliking his tone... but not wanting to turn his back on the suddenly hostile-toned hyena. He didn't like the way this man's mind worked. There was nothing noble about him, or his intentions, of that much he was sure. And he was most certain that Sin was refuring to himself when he spoke, and not Asadaki or any other hyena or being. If Sin wasn't only out for himself, he would bite his own tongue off.

Asa did not grin, nor did he seem impressed or scared by the other hyena. He felt a certain degree of anger that this hyena was belittling him... this rude, arrogant creature without an honourable bone in his body.

"To only live for yourself?" Asadaki asked curiously, raising an eyebrow, "Perhaps you see that as... fulfilling, in some way or another. I would not. No responsibilities... no cares... no. That selfish existance would be worthless. I wouldn't want it. To have someone to love and protect is what gives life meaning. Perhaps it isn't always fun, but having her with me makes me happy. And perhaps I am not always noble, but I always find myself with a reason for being."

"Selfish? That's natural, man. That's the way we're born: individually. We're raised by our parents, but we use them to make sure we're cared for, and we're set out on our own, because we want to, or because our family makes us. Some sooner than others, and some for strange reasons. Whatever the case, we're destined to be selfish. Forced that way, or just living a normal life: everything anyone does is selfish!"

He laughed wildly, fur bristling, "what about you? Don't you think you're blind devotion is selfish? You take pride in what you do. You've decided it's honorable and just, and you're serving yourself more than you're willing to admit at this point, I think. But who cares? You're giving yourself a reason for being. Well, that's good, isn't it?"

Wagging his tail, the hyena moved from his perch and circled around the other hyena, baring his teeth a little in a snarl once he was out of sight, but letting his face fall expressionless when he returned from around his back.

"Whatever gets you through the day, I guess. As for me? I'm going to selfishly go have a little fun." He didn't elaborate, but his eyes flashed mockingly.

"I'm afraid I don't believe that." Though Asadaki was fully aware that he was very, very selfish. He had disgregarded his duties so that he could help Biku escape a dark fate that he couldn't let her face alone. They had always been together. And it was selfish of him to take the pack's sacrifice and himself away from the pack but... how could he have gone on without Biku? She was all he had, "My sister and I were born together. Not individually. And perhaps my parents were selfish creatures..." For they had always expected Biku to die, and for Asa to kill her, "But I'm not like them. My sister and I are not."

He did nod, "Perhaps my devotion is selfish, my reason for being... but as you say, it gives me a reason to be. A reason to be happy." Biku was his only reason for being happy. Without her, he had nothing... and without him, Biku would be dead. For any other twin would have killed her, "I'd rather be selfish for someone else, than do it alone."

Asadaki turned his head on Sin, watching the other hyena's eyes flash, "Have your fun. Do what you feel is best, and I will do the same. But I am not like you, and I pray that most creatures are not. That kind of anarchy is not aceptable." He looked on Sin, his voice now completely condiscending, looking down on the other hyena. For now, Asadaki knew what Sin was, and his dislike and need to be polite were now unbalanced, "I know what you are. Liar. Trickster. You use words to undermine others, not to help them as you earlier claimed. And one such as you... is worthless. Your happiness, artificial. You take from others and offer nothing in return. And I cannot speak to how happy it makes me that I will never be like you."

With that, the other hyena turned and walked away. Away from his sister... he would have to round back to his sister later. He didn't want Sin to follow him to her, and he doubted the hyena knew where Biku was. Even if he did, Asadaki knew the way back well. And he would insure that Sin would suffer if he tried to lay a hand on his sister.

"I'm not like my parents, either," Sin said with a wild laugh. It was a truth, though a twisted one. He wasn't like them because they were good creatures. Pure, kind, loving creatures who would not have believed it if someone told them how their son had turned out. They didn't believe in pranks and being mean for the sake of being mean, and how he had managed to escape their careful teachings was nothing short of a strange kind of miracle.

He frowned and tilted his head at the completely accurate accusations. He shrugged and flicked his tail, holding it high as he grinned through Asa's speech.

"There's nothing fake in my happiness. It's just a different kind than the one you know. I wouldn't be so quick to condemn it, though. It's a blast. I mean, just look at this conversation. How do you know what is true and what isn't, if you are so sure I'm a liar? Maybe I'm the kind that mixes real and fantasy. Or maybe not. Only I know, and that's what makes it fun. And I'm with you, I'm glad you won't be like me. You couldn't pull it off, and you'd make this whole art of mine look stupid and worthless."

He laughed wildly, shaking his head he watched as Asa walked off, sitting down and grinning. He yawned then and plopped himself over onto his side, rolling around and settling into a comfortable position. He didn't need to be tired to go to sleep. He didn't even need to feel like it, his head still swimming from the encounter, but it was a good way to ignore everything, and he just shut himself down.
