Meme's ears finally perked up again, not sure that she had made a difference in Angavu's opinion until she stood up and asked about the cubs. She was much cheerier seeming, she was sticking around.. it was a relief. Shaking almost imperceptibly, she got to her feet as well and smiled at her granddaughter.
"They're sleeping," she said, "But you can stay here until they wake up if you like. I could tell you about your name."

"Oh," she mumbled, glancing off into the den and considering wandering in loudly to wake them up. Her younger siblings didn't seem to mind much, but then they didn't often get a chance to sleep at this time of day. Maybe that was the difference between the two sets of cubs, it was much quieter and calmer here than it was at home. Her eyes went back to Meme when she was invited to stay around, and she nodded.
"Alright," she agreed with a smile, but then turned her head curiously, "What about my name?"

Now that the secret was out, there were minor details that could be discussed. Angavu's name was one sign of Shiri's lacking hard feelings towards her mother for what had happened, it was the alias that Memetuka had used when she first ran into her daughter in case she had known her name from Abedari. She hadn't, but she gave the name to her daughter. Her daughter who looks so like her mother.
"Well, it's an interesting story," she started, taking a seat once again and settling in for a conversation before the cubs woke up. It made her happy to know that they would officially meet Angavu soon, and that in the meantime she would be sticking around to chat.
It was a much needed comfort.
