"Too slow. Steve can take us, and keep me safer." Gre didn't have to mention safer from what. With two broken wings and Kien trying to carry him, it would have been risky even in the best of times. "Lead the way Kien. I can't see where we are going."
Steve was just perpelexed at the behavior of the two. Rules? What did they mean? Fairys didn't have rules? "What?"

Kien just shook his head at the thought. There was nothing more that could be done. "King Morph will probably turn us into one of those toads when we are done, or the child. Hey, if we're lucky, he will turn all of us into toads and we all would be in trouble together."
From that, he flew upwards, out of Steve's hand. "Come follow me, and quickly. We need to see a healer soon for Gre's sake." He just started heading to the stonewall where the large stump was from a long dead tree.

Steve quickly followed, as he was wondering what two fairies were doing in his own backyard.
Meanwhile Gre was trying to think of a way to present this to the King without it sounding like too much of a problem. Unfortuntly, thinking wasn't always a good trait of a Dragonfae. They tended to act and then think afterwards, if that. Needless to say, nothing seemed to be coming to mind for Gre, except for seeing a healer quickly.

Kien lead the child to the stump, taking little time about it. Gre was right, it would have taken a much longer time to get here had they not used the human to help. Gre probably would have also been much more injured by this point as well, as his broken wing would have had no support.
He stopped, flying in front of Steve's face. He held out his hand in a motion of stop. "Wait here, I'll be right back."
With that Kein seemed to disappear into the stump. A moment later, a swarm of fairies flew out, some looked like butterflies and others like Bees. "Hand the Dragonfae over child." One of the butterfly winged sprites said.

Steve stretch his hands out, careful of his little passenger. "I think I hurt him badly." Steve muttered, a sound that was booming to the small Fae.
The other Fae flew in closer, one was daring enough to actually go into Steve's hands. The female Butterfly winged Fae looked at Gre. "Doesn't seem too bad. Good thing you got here quickly Gre." She hovered her hand over his wound, and they covered in a white glow. She picked up the dangling part of the wing and pressed it into place, and the glow from her hands spread throughout the wing, traveling through the tiny veins of the stiff wings. Where the break was slowly glowed, then glowed brighter. When the light was gone, his wing was completely healed.
Gre turned to the other Fae on Steve's hand. "Thanks Fillna."
She smiled gently at him from his comment. "It's my job. You need to stop getting yourself hurt, reckless Dragonfae." She gave him a light punch to his shoulder.
"Ow! I'm injured here!" Gre faked pain. "Well, I was." Then Gre looked up at the human child. "I found him, can I keep him?" With that, he got another playful punch from Fillna, this time harder though.
"You just caused a whole lot of problems with this. The court will have to convene on this one." She seemed excited about this, yet also disappointed and fearful at the same time. Then she took flight again, heading to the stump.
Gre stood up as well, "Please, wait here bug hunter. I feel I have gotten you into quiet the mess here." With that, Gre tested his healed wing, perfect as always, and then took flight. He followed after Fillna to the stump and the court.

Imogen was taking her father's place in the court today, as he had business, and idiot Dragonfae and Beefae were far from new. The breach of secrecy, though, was yet another sign that they couldn't manage themselves at all. The sheer idiocy of revealing themselves to a human child . . .
It had happened before, of course, but it had been at least forty years since the last breach.

The Council chamber was slowly filling out in the hollowed out stump. The rows of chairs leading upwards to the back were filling in as the most powerful and elite of the Fae were gathering. Most of them where either of Moth or Monarch decent, but a few Dragon, Bee and Hornet Fae could also be seen in the farther back areas of court.
King Morph would be last to enter, as tradition dictated. His seat was a large carved wooden chair on the center of the floor at the lowest level, so all could see him. Right now everyone only saw an empty chair, with ribbons and other shinnies taken from humans decorating it. Not all where placed there by royals, as some where donated to the king by the common folks.

Imogen followed her father's example and made sure she was one of the last to arrive. As a Luna Mothfae, her family's seat was near the center and bottom. Her seat was plain wood, as the rest of the court's, so her dress made up for it. Finest spidersilk that sparkled brilliantly in the dim light of the stump, and she held herself as the royalty she was. King Morph would deal with this well, or he would be held accountable by all of the Swarm.

As the last of the Fae took their seat, thankfully none took this phrase literally this time, a horn started to blare in a short song, as most Fae have little patients to play anything longer than needed.
With the first note, King Morph fluttered down, last to sit down in his seat. His blue and black colored wings draped onto the ground as he walked to his seat, his face a picture perfect image of beauty according to the Fae.
In a commanding voice, he talked, "Welcome Fae of all kinds. Though we have a.. misunderstanding between our people at this time I am glade that you all could show up in such short notice." Of course they all could. Something as interesting as a human was bound to get anyone and everyone to show up. "I ask that, now with formalities over, we take this court outside, so the subject of this court can hear us." This was unusual, but not overly unheard of. Very rarely did court ever move out of the stump, but the request was not unheard of. The king stood from his chair of simple wood and lifted off the ground a little, waiting for others to take suit in kind.
As he flew upwards, he spread his wings, using magic to vanish before the crowd and appearing above the stump, the very ceiling of the court they where just in. For those already outside, he motioned for them to form a circle around him, leaving the side where the human child stood open so as to make it so the child could see them and them see him in return.

Imogen followed King Morph as quickly as she could, flashing herself out of the stump. She surveyed the child and the miscreants, and felt panic well. Oh, no. Not one of them. The sense of recognition and peace made her want to vomit.
She surveyed them disdainfully. "These are them?"

"I believe, before we can make any decision or debates, that we have a story to hear. One probably filled with fanciful tales and funny jokes?" The king raised an eyebrow, for he knew the tale would be true, if not a little distorted for a good laugh as all Fae are known to do.
Gre cleared his throat nervously. He thought he would be doing this to a slightly... smaller crowd. Was it really such a big deal? So what? A human found out. Maybe it was time for them to discover their existence? As Gre opened his mouth, his eyes fell to a Mothfae within the crowd, and his heart caught in his throat, leaving him with a dumb founded expression on his face.
Steve just stood there, confused at the whole affair. Never did he even imagine there would be fairies in his own backyard, not mentioning so many of them here.

Thankfully for Gre, Kien steped forward. "Sire, I believe you will find this a tale worth mentioning, as well as being worth the risk of the human." He took a bow to the court. "It all started with morning when Gre and myself decided to go out into the grass forest to have some fun. After upending a few beetles to watch them right themselves, Gre spoted the human child. Now, knowing Gre's speed personally, I do not blame him for this." Kien stopped for a moment, looking up to the human, then back to the crowd as he continued the tale, "Steven here is known for being a very good bug hunter, but as you know of Dragonfae, well. They can't resist the temptation. It started off as nothing but fun as Gre flew in front of the boy's face, grabbing his attention. Then he played 'try to catch me' which Gre did a remarkable job of doing the first round. However, he was found rolling over in laughter too soon, and did not notice the boy already lunging at him a second time."

A few dramatic moments passed as Kien was about to wind down the story, Gre was already in a giggling fit remembering the events of the first round.
"So much for a great bug hunter, didn't get me the first time!" A smile splayed across his face. Then he remembered the trouble he was in and the second round he lost, which wasn't so much fun.

Kien just cleared his throat, a sign that Gre needed to stop talking. "As I was saying, Gre dodged out of the way of the first round at the last moment possible. He had even me laughing. However Steve here was determined to catch a dragonfly, or in this case an unexpected Dragonfae." The pun of his words were witty, and some of the court was laughing as well at it, and the Dragonfae where busting a gut remembering when they would pull similar tricks. They only wished that they where the ones standing there now, for it would have been fun to play the games once again.
"I tried to give warning, but by the time I could, it was too late for Gre. Steve was already there. Gre tried to dodge out of the way, but instead only ended up getting himself hurt. He really had no option at that point other than to reveal himself and get back here quickly before losing the wings. True it could have also been healed anyway, but it would have been far longer, draining and painful for him."
With that, Kien ended his story.

King Morph finished listening to the story, then turned to Gre ,"Dragonfae, do you agree with this story?"
Gre nodded his head yes. There was nothing else he could add in. He lost at his own game, which was not funny.
"And the child?"King Morph looked at the human child Steve for an answer.
Steve was still a little in awe of the events and discoveries he had just found and took a deep swallow before speaking. "Besides knowing that the dragonfly wasn't a dragonfly, yes."
Morph looked to the court, "Anyone else have any questions? Anyone else have any comments?"
