The sky was bright. Lyrine headed up the walk from the Sun Dorms to the dining hall, brushing random spots on her black skirt. It annoyed her plenty. Why was it black? Why was everything so dark about this school? She found it rather depressing, but nothing she couldn’t deal with. At least the sun was out. Lyrine hated how she wasn’t allowed to wear something with color, but who would she complain to? She had never even seen half the students. The better half, probably. With a sigh, she pulled open the door to the cafeteria. ’No, the dining hall.’ She corrected herself. She was still adjusting. Great, faced with a choice. Where would she sit? A farrago of tired and bright faces looked back at her.

Walking quickly, she bought a sandwich for breakfast without paying attention to what kind. With a deep breath, Lyrine scanned everybody. She didn’t know a single soul here. Cursing her father under her breath, Lyrine sat down alone at a table in the corner. Maybe someone would join her? “Yeah, if I’m lucky enough. And knowing my luck, I’ll be sitting alone the rest of the year.” She muttered to herself. She unwrapped the sandwich and took a bite. It tasted dry in her mouth. Lyrine had that horrible feeling where tears started coming to her eyes. Shaking them off and sniffling, Lyrine quickly finished her sandwich.

Kiyarah Antoinette Briarwood is feeling just a little : { groggy }

User Image
A groan. A toss. A turn. And then..."Ah!" A fall. With the blanket wrapped around her entire body like a mummy in their tomb, the female beauty struggled to get up into a sitting position on the floor. Her head hurt a little from the collision of head to hard wood floor. Shocking blue eyes appeared as she opened her eyes and stared at her room. She blinked a few times, wondering where she was for a brief moment. And then she remembered, she was in the Chairman's house inside the campus of Oak Point High School. The little hybrid groaned as she wiggled out of the blankets and got up onto her feet...slowly. But that didn't help at all, because just as she was about to stand up straight, she took an accidental step backwards and slipped onto the blanket, causing her to fall back onto her little behind. She let out a painful groan, rubbing her right butt cheek gently. And for a second time, she got up onto her feet, making sure not to be near the blanket that seemed to want to be the death of her. And that, is the morning wake up ritual for Kiyarah Briarwood.

Now that she felt that she was securely on her feet, Kiyarah picked up hte blanket on the floor and dropped it onto her bed. There was a bang on the door, and really heavy breathing on the other side. "Kiyah! Sweetheart are you alright?! I heard you screaming!" said her adoptive father. There were times when she thought that maybe he was a f** inside. Letting out a sigh, Kiyarah walked over to the door and opened it wide enough so that her head could peek out. "I'm fine, dad. Just same old clumsy me," she said with a sweet tone in her voice. Or at least as sweet as her voice would let her. But it seemed to win over her father, because he got that foggy look in his eyes that made her think that he was thinking cute things about her. This always made Kiyarah happy in the morning. "Okay well, hurry up kay? It's already time for breakfast. You really must stop all this oversleeping," the man said before closing the door for her. Kiyarah let out a sigh and headed over to her closet to grab a clean uniform to wear for today. As she was about to grab her uniform, a wide yawn escaped her lips and lasted for a really long time. "Ugh! I don't how long I'll be able to deal with this! And this is only my first damn year!" she complained and then shut her closet door with her foot.

Ten minutes later, a groggy looking Kiyarah stepped out of her bathroom with a towel wrapped around her head and her uniform on her body. Well, at least the black skirt and the white undershirt. The vest laid on her unmade bed. Do I really want to fix my bed? Eh, I'm too tired that I'll probably just collapse onto it and never wake up. Now that would be a problem. she thought as she unwrapped the towel and shook her damp hair loose. It was probably a little magic in her, but as soon as she shook her hair out, her damp strands soon dried and fell into curly locks down her back. She let out a sigh, gazing at her reflection in the mirror. Her pale skin complexion was beautiful, and the light red natural blush on her cheeks made her more...radiant. Kiyarah let out a sigh. She could not believe she let her thoughts go that far into her past. With a sigh, she grabbed her white vest and black bookbag and headed out the door. Whether or not her Prefect partner was up and ready now, she didn't really mind. She would just meet him later in first period.

Students on the Day Class started to file into the dining hall. Just a few hours ago the Night Class headed into their dorms for the day, It was crazy how much of the school's secret she knew. And not because she was the Chairman's daughter. Running a hand through her curly locks once, Kiyarah headed into the dining hall while informing students to come inside in a civilized manner. Even in the morning she was forced to work as Prefect. She was continuing to tell people to behave themselves when suddenly, "Kiyah! Watch out!" She turned to the person that called out to her, but then she stumbled over her own feet as she tried to dodge the person in front of her that was about to run into her. And just like earlier, she found herself on the floor rigth smack on her butt. She groaned again, ignoring the people laughing at her. "Hey, Prefect. Have a nice trip?" some girl with a bob asked. Kiyarah looked at her with a confused expression on her face. "What trip?" she asked. The girl and her group laughed hysterically at her slowness. When finally Kiyarah understood what they meant, she blushed an even brighter red and got up onto her feet. What a way to start a morning. she thought as she stepped into the breakfast line. Already, she could feel her impatientness kick in. And her day could not get any worse. Because she had forgotten her iPod in her room.

"I am what I am."

Pearll is just outright exhausted.

Pearll was showering in Moon Dorm. She had just came back from her morning run. She splashed some water into her face, but it didn't exactly wash off her bloodshot eyes and didn't add colour to her pale face. She was exhausted. It had always been this case, she go for her "night run" -- guarding the school gates with her fellow werewolves. At around five, all of them phase back into human form and alpha's daughter and sidekick would head back to Moon Dorm to catch up with their sleep. Whereas, Pearll would go for a morning run by herself through the thick foliage which hid her from human view. She ran faster than normal and could not afford to be seen. Then, at around half-past six, she'll make her way back to Moon Dorm to shower and dress for school. Her pack didn't understand why she would sacrifice sleep for such an energy consuming task. And she'll always answer, "I like it."

But she was running out of time. Today had been a great day -- when the sun rose, it wasn't very hot, because of the light breeze. It was the ideal weather condition for running. Hence, she took longer than usual, and returned at seven. She ran into the bathroom immediately and she's still there, five minutes later.

"Hell! Where did my rubber band go?"She glanced at her watch; 7.05am."Where is my skirt?" She ran out of the bathroom, slipped and knocked her head on the door frame. "Ouch! That hurts!" Pearll clambered up and quickly ran a brush through her messy blonde hair. The brush broke into two and Pearll threw the spoiled brush into the trash bin. "Ahh, I give up!" She then picked up a navy blue skirt from the floor. She didn't care if it was clean or dirty. She slipped into it and in a matter of seconds, she crashed out of her room, grabbed a spare rubber band from alpha's daughter's room and bundled her messy hair into a ponytail.

She skidded to a stop at Moon Dorm's front door, her face flushed and sweaty. She walked out of through the door slowly and glanced at her watch; 7.06am. She grinned blithely,
"Just a minute late, I can catch up with alpha's daughter and sidekick. Yes!" Pearll managed to catch up with them before they entered the dining hall. "Hey guys! A minute late and you don't wait for me?"

Without waiting for a reply, Pearll strode in "angrily" into the dining hall. It was heaving with students clad in crisply starched uniforms. She was still trying to act annoyed that her fellow werewolves "abandoned" her at Moon Dorm. Pearll grabbed a tray and joined the long queue for breakfast. She was famished and the queue was miles long (at least to her). It moved forward painfully slowly. If I don't get my breakfast this instance, I'm going to collapse from both hunger and exhaustion. Finally, it was her turn. The serving lady beamed at her. "What can I tempt you with today?" Pearll grinned at her mischievously. "Can I have..." She stole a glance at the breakfast menu. "Three blueberry muffins, two pieces of toast, a bowl of oatmeal, two bagels, one serving of scrambled eggs, three pieces of pancakes with extra servings of maple syrup, one cup of juice, one cup of milk, and finally a cup of tea. Thanks!" The people around her stared at her in shock. Pearll glanced around in mock innocence. "What?"

With her tray laden with food, Pearll scrambled around the dining hall looking anxiously for an empty seat. She kept bumping into other students and cheerfully yelling, "Sorry!" every few seconds. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted it, an empty seat. She dashed recklessly to it, keeping in check her speed and her precious tray of food. She plonked down onto her seat heavily, and tucked in. She was halfway through her oatmeal when she realized that someone was at the table with her. Pearll jumped up, an involuntary reflex. Seeing the black uniform, she regretted her action immediately. It was too fast to be passed off as a normal human reflex. "Who are--" She recovered and masked her shock. "I meant, hi! You really scared me then." She grinned. "I'm Pearll and you are?" She sat back down slowly and continued with her oatmeal, calmly. I really hope she didn't notice that... that jump of shock...

OOC: I'll change 'alpha's daughter and sidekick' once I know their names.

The cafeteria began to fill with students in mixed colored uniforms. Lyrine observed them like they were some alien species. Well, they couldn’t be human. Humans weren’t this rude. Lyrine's head snapped up to the girl that was approaching the table. She was smiling, all too cheerful as she plunked down with a tray filled to the brim with food that threatened to overflow. She stared at the tray’Appetite much. That’s gotta be, like, a million calories in there. And its only breakfast.’. Lyrine rolled her eyes and almost looked away from her when the girl looked up and their eyes met. Then with inconceivable speed, she leaped up from the table. Lyrine’s mouth fell open as the girl sat back down swiftly and introduced herself. Lyrine blinked a few times, and then realized she’d been asked a question. After a moment, she closed her mouth. Slowly, she passed off whatever had happened as a stress hallucination and answered her. ”Umm, I’m Lyrine. Are you in the day class as well?”
Beginning to feel a bit positive that she wouldn’t be totally friendless, Lyrine slid one seat over so she sat diagonal to Pearll. She remembered always seeing Pearll surrounded by a group of friends. One of the popular girls. And Lyrine could see why: she was tall and pretty. ’I used to be like that at my old school.’ Lyrine remembered and felt an unprecedented pang of jealousy and she began to feel even more homesick. But she kept one of her trademark refined smiles on her face. She would ruin what might be the begining of a friendship; her first at this school.

"I am what I am."

Pearll is just a bit hungry.

Pearll was starting on her pancakes when she heard Lyrine's question. She swallowed before answering. "Yeah, I am. In the Day class." Don't mention the night class! Pearll reminded herself. She didn't want to spill the school's secret to the human girl, Lyrine. "You want any breakfast?" Pearll asked as she looked down to see Lyrine's empty hands. "You don't seem to be eating enough." She commented. "Don't tell me I eat too much. The size of my breakfast is like only one quarter of my friends. They are the people who really eat way too much." She warned, smiling to show that she was just joking. Well, she's a really nice girl. And she's pretty. I wonder why she don't have friends. I'll be her friend! Pearll thought. It's nice to have a human friend. I'm really hanging out with my pack too much!

"Well, if you don't mind." Pearll said as she pushed the scrambled eggs to Lyrine. "It's always good to share." She continued with her pancakes. Soon, she gobbled up everything in her tray. And Pearll was still hungry. "Hey, I'll go get some more food. I'm still hungry." She grinned and ran off. She grabbed another tray and joined the ever-so-long queue.

I hate queues. Pearll decided. When I'm very hungry. As if to emphasize the fact, Pearll's stomach growled. See what I mean? Pearll thought and shook her head. Then, it was her turn. Without waiting for the serving lady to address her she shot off her order. "I want two blueberry muffins... No make it three. Three blueberry muffins, three pancakes with extra servings of maple syrup, two pieces of toast, two cookies and two cups of milk." "Oh dear, are you sure? You've been to order before, haven't you?" "Oh, it's... um... for my friend. She had no breakfast and I wanted to share with her some food." I gestured to Lyrine. It's the half-truth, take it or leave it. The serving lady prepared Pearll's ordered food and she took the tray with a "thank you" and went back to Lyrine's table.

Pearll started in on the food and passed some to Lyrine.
"Eat. Or the serving lady will not serve me any food!" She glanced at the serving lady and sure enough she was looking at their table. "Please, just help me this once. I'll explain, later..." Pearll finished her muffins. "Well, it's like this. I told the serving lady that I was buying food for you. So... she allowed me to take some food. If you don't eat, I tell you, I'll not get any food for lunch!" She smiled sheepishly. "So... I'm really sorry for using you. Ehh, if you don't mind, wanna sit with us, with my friends, for class?"

Kiyarah Antoinette Briarwood is feeling just a little : { worried }

User Image
Now that she was finally at the Prefect's table, Kiyarah finally found herself unable to keep her composure. It's been about twenty or so minutes already and still her partner was not around. She hoped that he had not overslept. Because they were posted at different places of the school, she had not seen him all night like before. Letting out a sigh, Kiyarah forcked at her pancakes, suddenly not that hungry anymore. All this worry she was feeling was making her feel sick to the stomach and it was making her lose her appetite. Unlike the werewolves that had walked in that were either getting more food or scarfing down whatever they could get. This worried Kiyarah as well, no one in the staff except for the Chairman, knew that the school was full of vampires, werewolves, and hybrids. Looking down at her watch, Kiyarah tried to think of some distraction against the insanely obvious. And then she finally thought of one.

When she realized that there was only a few minutes left of breakfast, Kiyarah got up onto the chair she was sitting on without thinking about it. Her shocking blue eyes were staring at all the students in the dining hall, some were already looking at her. After a deep breath, Kiyarah spoke. "Excuse me! Students of Day Class! You have ten minutes to finish your breakfast before you have to head to first period!" she called out to everyone so that her voice projected over the chatter. As some quieted down to finish their meals, knowing that it would mean serious consequences if they were late, Kiyarah continued to look around the large room for anyone that was causing trouble. Her eyes fell on a table near the back where the new human student, Lyrine was talking with one of the werewolves. The hybrid smiled at this, glad that the girl was making friends. Before the girl was submitted into Oak Point, Kiyarah had heard the Chairman talk about the girl's history. And really, she thought that the girl was wasting her life with all this publicity. Letting out another sigh, Kiyarah was about to take a step when someone called out, "Kiyah! Don't!" Kiyarah stopped and looked at the person for a moment, wondering why he or she told her to stop. But then she looked down and blushed a bright red. She was still standing on the chair. Muttering a thanks to the person that gave her the heads up, Kiyarah slowly got off the chair and then sat back down.

After a minute or so, the female hybrid let out a sigh and decided that she didn't really have an apetite anymore. Actually, she was hungry, but it was for something else. Since she had ten minutes left, Kiyarah thought it was a good idea if she could go back to her dorm and get her tablets. Once she threw away her untouched breakfast, she walked out of the dining hall and as soon as she finished checking that no one was around and then started to run to her room. The only reason why she was checking that no one was around, was because her speed and agility was too inhuman for the humans in this school to see. So in no time at all, Kiyarah was in front of her house and about to go in. When all of a sudden the Chairman came out with a box that looked similarly like a box of tic tacs. Only instead of the oval looking refreshment candies, there were circular tablets that looked like vitamin pills. Kiyarah sighed at the Chairman and took the box. "Thanks so much, dad! You have no idea how thirsty I am right now," she said in a soft whisper as she shook a tablet out of the box and popped it into her mouth. She then took the bottle of water the Chairman was holding out for her and sipped a gulpful of the refreshing water. Just as instantly, the burning sensation in her throat disappeared. Kiyarah let out a sigh of relief. Once she thanked the Chairman yet again, the female turned on her heels and headed back to the dining hall. She still had to do her job and make sure that no one was either ditching class, or sneaking off to the Twilight Dorms to see the vampires.

It's just too bad I'm beyond your reach

Star Resme Carter is feeling:.::Bored::.
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Star paced up and down the Twilight Dorm. She was panting, coughing and shivering in pain. Her eyes widened, then narrowed, then widened as it flashed rapidly between hazel and red. Groaning, Star shoved a dozen Blood Tablets into her mouth. She was hoping to go at least 12 hours before taking her second dosage, but it looked like she wasn't able to last that long. Falling to the ground, exhausted, Star sighed. That odd carvings on the ceiling entertained her for a moment, as Star observed them. Sitting up again, the beautiful vampire smiled. It was time to find out what little mischief she could cause today. Prefects? Not in sight. Perfect.

The vampire brushed her silken brown hair out of her face. Her hazel eyes glimmered mischieviously as her dainty, pale fingered gently tapped the doorknob. It sprang open to Star's delight. "Should I go and take a peek at the Day Class? Shall I go provoke a werewolf? Or shall I bother my brother?" she contemplated outloud. Grinning at the trouble she was going to cause, and admiring her rebelliousness, Star snuck out of the Twilight Dorm. Strolling down the hallway, Star thought about Oak Point for around the millionth time. It was amazing how the Chairman could group Werewolves and Vampires with Humans, and keep it all seceret. She was even more amazed that she was apart of it. "I'm staying with humans. This is absolutely crazy! I'm surprised Dad hasn't shipped me off half way across the world by now. I mean, even the chairman has told him I'm too dangerous..." she murmured.

Lost in though, Star nearly tripped over her own feet. Instead, she merely stumbled. Quickly regaining her composure, and making sure no one had seen an 'oh-so-perfect-nightclass-student' make a mistake, Star sighed. No one was around at this time of day. The Day Class was having, well, class, and the Night Class was stowed away in the Twilight Dorm, being nit-wits. By now, Star had reached the end of the hallway, to the door that led into the Dining Hall. She turned around, not wanting anyone from the Day Class to catch her there. Is this all my brother does all day? Is he really content with this?

((This was really short because I couldn't think of anything for her to do while the Day Class was going on))

Trust is the compliment much greater than love. User Image

She was so cheerful; Pearll was. It was hard to keep from smiling around her. Relaxing, yet so confident. Lyrine felt comfortable with her. And she was in the Day Class, too. She laughed when Pearll told her about the size of her meals. And her friends. ’Well, that’s certainly weird. Pearll eats a LOT. How the hell is she so skinny?’ The thought almost made her laugh, just as a tray of eggs was pushed toward her. ”Oh, no. I couldn’t touch any more food.” Lyrine began, but paused. That might seem rude to say. Just then, Pearll leaped up to get more food. Lyrine watched her go. A smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. Pearll was really growing on her. Lyrine liked her, her outgoing personality and sunny demeanor. She began to poke at the eggs; not that the food was bad, just… different. It was good, yeah. But what if you weren’t hungry?

When Pearll returned, she passed Lyrine some food. Lyrine frowned at it like it were an evil creature from outer space. ’Calories…’ she fretted. But Pearll began to tell her she wouldn’t get any food from the serving lady… “friends for class?” Pearll finished. Lyrine’s smile turned into a full on grin, and she took the food passed to her with a sideways glance at the serving lady. She was scrutinizing them with narrowed eyes. Lyrine gave her a huge smile and chomped on her fork hard. Apparently satisfied, the woman turned back to the extremely tall kid she was currently supposed to be serving. When not spying on the kids, of course. Rolling her eyes, Lyrine turned back to Pearll.

”Great scheme. That lunch lady looks wicked; I’ll be sure to watch out for her. And if you want, I can get you more food tomorrow and stuff. If you’ll sit with me.” Lyrine complimented nibbling on the edge of a cookie like a teething baby. She was warming up to Pearll, turning to face her completely. ”And thank you sooo much for inviting me to sit with you. I just started going here ‘cause of my dad. He is sooo annoying. But, like, I don’t have any friends here. I was afraid I’d be the outcast. So who are the rest of your friends and stuff? I’ve seen you hanging out with them before, but like I said, I’m clueless.” Lyrine didn’t mention who exactly her annoying dad was. But something told her that even if Pearll knew, she wouldn’t care. Most people began treating her like she was fragile once they found out; God forbid anything happen to such an important person’s daughter who could get their dads fired with a snap of the fingers.

Lyrine snapped her head up as a really pretty, but pale, girl stood up on a chair to tell them they had 10 minutes of lunch left. Something about her kept Lyrine staring for a bit longer than necessary. The exposed curiosity on her face made Lyrine blush. But the girl looked back at her. She stepped forward and almost off the chair, and a voice called out her name. ‘Kiyah’. Avoiding her eyes but watching her walk out gracefully through the corner of her eyes, Lyrine asked Pearll who was still eating, ”Whose she? Kiyah or whatever? Looks important."

"I am what I am."

Pearll is just happy.

Pearll was frowning a bit as her friends hasn't come to find her. As the door to the dining hall opened, once again, the breeze blew some traces of a vampire. Pearll's frown deepened as she mulled over it while chomping on her food. What is a vampire doing here? But she covered up her frown with a forced smile. "Hey, about that getting food thingy, it's a deal. I shall sit with you, because you're my friend. But I won't say no to food, to tell you the truth." Pearll took the other cookie and bit on it. "So you're new! No wonder I didn't see you before. Well, no one is an outcast here with me around. Trust me on that. And you're definitely not an outcast. You're my friend!" Pearll frowned once again as traces of vampires slipped away. Must be a stray.

Pearll then returned her concentration to Lyrine. "I'm really sorry. I'm exhausted. So I'm a bit out today." She explained. "You were saying my friends? I met them before school started. We were just put together in the same dorm and we sort of clicked. They are the people closest to me now. My parents died when I was young. I lived with an uncle and then in an orphanage. My friends are my family now. Hey, enough about me. What about you?" Pearll asked Lyrine.

Pearll then started eating her food whilst waiting for Lyrine's reply. Then, kiyarah stepped up on a chair and started reminding the students in the Dining Hall that classes are about to start in ten minutes. And Lyrine asked her a question. ”Whose she? Kiyah or whatever? Looks important." Pearll stalled for a while. She wasn't quite sure how to tell her human friend about Kiyarah's role in the school. "Well, she's a prefect. And you don't cross her. She's called Kiyarah but most people call her Kiyah. Sort of like a nickname." Pearll shrugged. "She's the chairman's adoptive daughter, I think." She quickly finished her food. "Let's head over to class. We can't have more than seven minutes left before we're late." Pearll said. She then went to return her tray before going back to table for Lyrine. She really wanted to know about Lyrine, but Pearll didn't know how to ask her without sounding nosy.

Star Resme Carter is feeling:.::Uncomfortable::.
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Hesitantly, Star pushed open the door to the dining room. Uncomfortably, she thought, Do not suck their blood! You took your blood tablets, and you have control over yourself, Star Resme Carter! Heads turned, and murmurs could be heard all around.

Sure, Star was beautiful, even for a vampire, but what mostly caught peoples attention was her Night Class Uniform. The Day Class only thought of her as an elite student, and both jealously and admiration was in their faces. Star sighed and kept her composure. She strolled as calmly and in the most superior fashion she could manage. The room almost held their breathe as Star walked through. If only her brother was here... no wait, if her brother was with her, Star wouldn't have entered the Dining Hall in the first place. Why is he never here when I need him?

The vampire walked past the Day Class members and stopped in front of Kiyarah. Trying as best she culd to ignore the Day Class, Star inched closer to the pretty female prefect leaned in to whisper in Kiyarah's ear. "Kiyah, have you seen my brother? I couldn't find him in the Twilight Dorm. He has the rest of my Blood Tablet." Urgency showed in her face, and Star groaned as each second passed. The Day Class continued to stare, and Star's restraint was growing weaker.

Taking a peek sideways, she caught sight of a young, pretty and optimistic looking werewolf. 'Werewolves are the vampires enemies' was what she had been told. But Star could sense no hatred from the female. Star smiled and gave a little wave to her and the human next to her.

((Lawl.l just wanted to involve her, since Star is the only Night Class member right now))

Kiyarah Antoinette Briarwood is feeling just a little : { cautious }

User Image
With two minutes left to spare before class started, Kiyarah headed back to the dining hall so that she could check on the students, make sure that no one was doing anything mischievious. But as she stepped into the dining hall, she knew something was off. So, as she pushed open the door, her keen eyes looked here and there for what would make her feel so uneasy. She recognized the scent, she recognized the newborn scent of a vampire. And then a voice came into her enhanced ears. Kiyarah jumped and gasped at the sound of Star's voice in her ear. "Holy! Crap, Star!" she breathed out, taking in deep breaths. At her question, Kiyarah let out a sigh and shook her head. "No I don't know where your brother is. And you're not suppose to be out here," she whispered the response so that the Day Class that weren't werewolves would not hear what they were saying.

Looking around the dining room, Kiyarah made sure that no one was looking at them. With Star being so beautiful, it was a hard thing to talk in private without the human guys oggling at her. "Everyone! Head to class! The signal for first period will sound in less than a minute!" she announced in a clear voice then turned to look at Star, handing the vampire her tablets. "Here, take mine. I don't really need them. But please head back to the dorms. If you need me let me know. And I'll try to find your brother. With him being so busy, it's sometimes hard ya know. He's probably talking to my father or something," she whispered as she quicky and secretly handed the packet of blood tablets into the vampire's cold hands. She then placed her hands on the girl's shoulders and started to lead her to the door with human speed. It was hard to accomplish this, with Kiyarah being so worried about what would happen if Star was to stay around the human population of the Day Class for any longer. Before anyone could get out of the dining hall, Kiyarah had led Star out and was walking with her, more like dragging the vampire, towards the Twilight Dorms.

"Star, are you trying to kill me? Or get me in trouble with the Chairman? You know you're not suppose to be out here while it's day time. The Day Class cannot see you during the daytime! We can't have them see you and the others of the Night Class under the sun," she whispered in such an irregular pace. At the moment, the thought of breathing was so hard with how nervous she was. If the Chairman saw Star out and about during the day time, he would freak. When they were finally away from the dining hall, Kiyarah let go of Star and turned to look at the vampire. "I'm sure you're brother is around here somewhere. I'll make sure to tell him to come to you when I see him. And go ahead and keep those tablets. I'm sure the Chairman has many more at the house," she said in a more relaxed manner.

The sounds of the Day Class students coming out of the dining hall and heading to the campus class buildings put Kiyarah back into uneasiness. Turning to look at Star again, Kiyarah took a deep breath. "Would you like me to stay with you until night time? I don't mind skipping class today. The Chairman will just teach me all that I've missed," she said, looking closely at the female vampire in front of her now. The memory of meeting Star for the first time felt like it was only yesterday. She remembered stepping into the Chairman's office one day to see three vampires standing across from him. At first, Kiyarah thought that they were going to attack him. But when the eldest of the vampires turned to look at her, Kiyarah was about thirteen that time, easily she felt at ease. He didn't look like someone that would hurt the Chairman.

What feared her the most however, was the sight of Star. During those years, she was still a newborn trying to get use to coexisting with humans. So being at a school full of humans must have been hard on the girl. The last one she had looked at, was one that she had wished that she had not laid eyes upon. As soon as she looked at Star's brother, Kiyarah could have sworn she felt her heart skip a beat. He was the most beautiful person in the world. And when she heard from the Chairman that he and Star were going to attend this school as well as a few other vampires, all Kiyarah could think about was that she was going to be in the same campus as him. Now however, she still had strong feelings for him, but they weren't as strong as before. The hybrid only looked at him as a friend, and only a friend. Especially since he was a pureblood, one of the few purebloods living still. Of course a girl like her, a half-blood, had no chance with a pureblood. So she kept her feelings to herself, and hoped for the best that they would cease to exist. "So what do you say? Would you like company, at least until your brother comes about wherever he is?" Kiyarah asked, crossing her skinny pale arms over her chest casually as she waited for a response.

Star giggled as she noticed a human guy drool in his breakfast while looking at her. No way I'm ever going with a human. She took the pills and smiled at Kiyarah gratefully. Putting a cold hand over her mouth, she quickly shoved one in and put the rest in her pocket. "I know I'm not supposed to be here. I just really needed that tablet." she muttered. "My brother's usually with me... its strange that i couldn't even scent him." Thinking over what she had said, the young vampire was sent deep in thought. She didn't even notice that Kiyarah was dragging her toward the Dining Gall exit.

Once out of the Dining Hall, Star snapped into conciousness and relaxed her shoulders. "Would you like me to stay with you until night time?" Star's eyes flew open at the suggestion. "Holy crud, you cant do that!" Then, sheepishly smiling, Star mumbled, "Though it would be nice if you could."

Remembering the day she had first arrived at Oak Point caused her to feel a rush of affection for Kiyarah, the lovely and strong prefect, and her brother, the guy who was always- almost always- there for her and cared for her more than anyone else. THey had both helped her get used to living with humans and accepting her vampire nature. Star wasn't as brilliant a vampire as her brother, but she was getting the hang of it. "Kiyarah... what do you think of my brother?" Star knew that most girls had gone gaga over him. Kiyarah wasnt that type of girl, but Star wouldnt believe that Kiyah didnt care for him a bit.

Thinking of the many fangirls her brother had accumulated, the lovely vampire almost laughed out loud. Imagine the looks on their faces if Star told them she was the only girl he had even remotely been interested in before they became siblings. Getting over that, she returned her attention to Kiyarah. "Hey, Kiyah? I saw this werewolf and her human friends... I dont remember them."

Star's question shocked Kiyarah for a moment. Her shocking blue eyes wide with surprise, the hybrid female turned away to look to the forest of the campus. What do I tell her? That I have a major crush on her brother? Yeah right! They may be vampires but they're humans all the same. she thought to herself as she let out a sigh and turned her gaze towards Star again. The way the vampire looked at her made her feel nervous. Never before has anyone asked about her affection for the girl's brother. She had done so well at keeping her feelings secret. But then again, maybe there was another reason why Star had asked the question. Just maybe. Clearing her throat, Kiyarah answered with the best of her ability, "Um, your brother? He's alright. I have to admit that he is really handsome even though he's going to be since he's a vampire. But he's probably the handsomest." The last part was said in a whisper as a bright red blush crept up her cheeks, causing part of her cover to be blown. Her heart beat at an incredible rate. For a human, it would have been considered painful. But she was use to it, plus her vampire genes made her a lot stronger than any other regular human. The female let out another sigh, flipping her long curly streaks of hair off her shoulders so that they hung down her back. "What made you ask that question? I hope you don't think I'm like one of those fangirls from the Day Class that gawk at him or something," she asked, crossing her arms over her chest yet again. This time, she playfully pouted at her friend. But in her mind, all Kiyarah could think was, Even though I serious do stare at him as if he were some god.

Before Star could ask any more questions about her brother, Kiyarah smiled lightly, thinking back to the response she had given a few minutes ago. "Yes I can do that. I do know how to take advantage over being the Chairman's daughter. He'll understand," she said softly before she turned towards the classroom building. For sure some of her friends were going to wonder where she went. But then again, her partner hybrid could probably take care of keeping watch of the class without her. He had done it before. "Besides, I'm sure you need me more than I need my education right now. You and a lot of people know I'm too slow to understand what I'm learning anyway," she added a little sadly. She hated that she was so slow at some things, especially when it came to her education. Which was why she had always needed a tutor since she started reading. "Besides, I only got like twenty minutes of sleep last night because of Prefect duties and the Chairman was talking to me about the new student that arrived a few days ago," she then said after a minute or so of silence.

When Pearll and Lyrine were mentioned, Kiyarah was slightly glad for the subject change. Thoughts of the girl's brother were making her feel nervous. "Pearll is one of the wolves that keep watch of the outside part of the campus. She's usually around the Alpha-to-be. But I guess some of the pack decided not to get up today. As for the human that was with her, that's Lyrine Colt. The new student I mentioned earlier. She's the Govenor's daughter. You seriously have no idea how much that man is paying for that girl to attend this school. Almost as much as your father paid for you and your brother to attend," she explained, using her hands animatedly. It was a habit of hers. Whenever she talked about something that she was interested in talking about, her hands would go about moving here and there with her words.
