Not really knowing that cubs were supposed to have a papa, he tilted his head slightly. "Yes. Two mommies. What is a papa?" He asked, his tail slowing its movement. The conversation wasn't painful at all to him. How could someone miss something they never had or even knew about before now? His usual perky self was showing as he spoke to his friend. "What's a Leopard?" Zoran was obviously very naive, but that was only because he was still rather young and didn't get out of his mothers' watchful eyes. "I don't think I have a papa and if I do, I don't know him." His head shook slightly and his smile stayed plastered across his maw. Soon, his world would change completely. Soon he would become a completely different leopon.

Safi giggled, but she didn't mind explaining what she knew. "Well, a momma is a girl, like me, and a papa is a boy, like you. A momma and a papa can have babies, but after that it can just be a momma or a papa or something like that," she believed that because of how her family was. She knew there had to be a mommy and a daddy because that's what she had seen. But she also picked up that her momma had other kids that she hadn't stayed momma for. And the same with her leopard auntie. And her cheetah auntie had cubs, but their papa had his own family, too. So anyone could be a momma or a papa, but there needed to be a momma and a papa, first. "Well, my papa is a lion. He's big and has a big fluffy mane and he's really bulky. And my uncle Mafu's a cheetah. He's kinda small and really thin and fast and spotty. And my other uncle's a leopard. He's bigger and bulkier than Uncle Mafu, but not as big as my papa and he only has a little bit of extra fur on his head. You kinda remind me of my leopard cousins, but a bit bigger," she explained as best she could. Apparently she also liked talking about her very extended and non-related family.

Zoran listened carefully to his friend. She was obviously very smart, unlike him. He smiled and nodded his head as he listened. So he was a leopard only bigger... but at the same time he was a lion. That was interesting. He flicked his tail happily. "Maybe I'll meet my papa one day!" He perked happily. Of course, it wouldn't be a good day whenever his father and him did run into one another. He would lose everything, but gain a lot at the same time. A whole new life, a new way to look at life, and even a new attitude. "Are papa's nice?" He asked, hoping that all were nice. All mothers, or what he knew of, were nice. He already had experience with two mothers and both of them proved themselves to be very kind and gentle. Oh how he would miss his home once his father came and took him away from his family, but Zoran wasn't expecting anything. He figured he'd be with his mothers and siblings for the rest of his life. His purple eyes narrowed on the grey female as his tail flicked behind him slightly.

"Hmmm..." Safi mused, thinking. She didn't like being wrong, but, well it happened. "Well, my papa's nice and my uncles are, too, but I donno. My momma and papa warn me about bad creatures sometimes, 'cause they don't want anything to happen to us, but maybe males that are papas are papas because they're nice," she hazarded a guess. She didn't know just how wrong she was. How her half-siblings' papa had taken her momma against her will. Or how Zoran's papa was going to take him and turn him into a monster. She'd never known such terrible things and the gods bless that she never would. But one never knew.

Zoran took tried to take it as a positive thing, but wasn't quite sure. There was always that chance that his father was the reason his friend's parents warned her about bad creatures. He thoughtlessly swirled his claw in the dirt. "I'm sure my papa will be nice." Zoran finally said, perking up again. There was no use in being sad over something that would possibly never happen. "So what is your family like?" He asked with a broad smile. Hopefully her family was nice like his family was so far. His tail flicked happily behind him. At the moment he didn't want to think about his family. His mothers were probably worried/mad at him for sneaking off. Oh well, he did it pretty often, so they shouldn't worry about him.

Safi couldn't help it, she laughed out loud at that one. "It's big, for one. I travel around with my momma and papa, who's a history keeper and singer, and two brothers and two sisters and my aunt 'Tawi and uncle Kucha and my three cousins. And then there's my papa's brother and sister who I met when I was little and my five cousins. I think that's it... But there's the other group we're going to go live with for a while, but I only know two of them," she rambled on again, though not really going into a lot of details to keep it as short as possible. "How about you? Do you have a lot of brothers and sisters?"

Zoran was shocked at how big this female's family was. The cub noticed he hadn't really talked about his siblings much. He didn't think he had that many family members, or at least he hadn't met any of them yet. His tail flicked slightly as he thought. His eyes looked upward as he tried to think. "Uuuuum... from what I know of, I only have a brother and two sisters and my mommas of course." He then noticed he forgot to mention that someone the two had been talking about. "Oh, and my papa." He thought a little bit more. Maybe his papa had other kids. If he left his mothers then he might have also left other families before?

"That's nice. What's it like having a little family? Sometimes I feel really crowded and I think at least one of us has attention issues," Safi asked, though she was really just speculating. It was hard for her to keep track of all the cubs in her family and part of her was sad for that as they were her family and she should know them, but she didn't and that was that. All she could do was live on and try harder. She did wonder, though what it was like being in a small family. Think of, she figured she'd better be heading home soon... Soon.

Zoran wasn't quite sure how to answer her first question. "Well, its not like that." He said with a little bit of a grin at his foolish answer. "Its nice, easy for the family to communicate easily." It was something he remembered one of his mothers saying. His little tail continued to dance around behind him. The little cub hadn't thought about his parents or going home, but he should probably go home sooner or later as well. Though, he felt that he hadn't learned enough, although thats how he felt with all of the other creatures he had met.

"That sounds pretty nice," Safi replied and her head whipped around when she heard her name called. Not far off, a large gray lion with a thick red mane was standing, waiting for her. Safi smiled at Zoran, her head tilted a bit. "My papa's calling. I hope to see you again sometime," she said and ran off towards her father. "It was fun meeting you!" she called back over her shoulder.
((Yeah, sorry I was so bad in replying. I just had trouble thinking for a while. XD; Figured it needed a definite ending, though.))
