The spider seemed to get much better during the journey through the north bottom and into the south. Toxic had decided she wanted to catch more spiders, but made Lily promise to be more careful with them. Lily reluctantly agreed, rolling her eyes that the thought of being nice to a spider that could bite them. Toxic had ended up climbing on to Lily, becausse every step she took made her sink deeper into the mud. Lily's boots were already covered in mud and it seemed to get deeper.

Lily looked about for spiders, but had to pay attention to where she was walking or she would fall over. Toxic kept a good eye out for them though. "Heyyy! I see one!" Lily said, but toxic head other ideas. She had jumped off and was running along the lilypads in the marshs. She had also spotted one. Lily looked back and forth at the two and ended up following Toxic.

Taneko and Ari walked into the south bottom. They had so many memories here! Taneko was sure not to slip down the river bank this time, it had been a lucky slip last time, but she doubted that anything lucky would come out of it this time.

"There is one!" Ari shouted, pointing to a nearby lone branch "and it's a small one" she added, sounding quite relieved.

"You have a good eye, you know that?" Taneko said, before she started advancing toward the yellow spider. If she took it nice and slowly, then maybe the spider wouldn't notice her coming closer.

The small yellow spider turned, running onto the ground. Toxic ran, jumping a bit more to keep from sinking. You'd think being light would help, but that was evil mud! The sprite and spider ran under the branch the other spider was on, spooking it.

Lily turned and ran also, the mud being even worse. She tripped and fall in the mud under the branch. "EWW!" She got up, and continued to run.

Taneko lost all concentration as she heard a distant "EW" was somebody else here too?

"Did you hear that?"

"Hear what?"

"I heard somebody!"

"You're imagening things, concentrate on the spider instead!" Ari adviced.

but it was too late, when Taneko turned back, the spider had run away.

"I'm sure that I heard somebody! I'm going to go investigate it! Do you want to come?"

"It's not like I have a choice" came the mufled answer from her hair, where Ari was situated at the moment.

Walking through the mud, Taneko finaly spotted what she had heard. Some girl and another sprite was running around in the mud. She didn't recognise the girl, or the sprite. Well, maybe she, and Ari, could make a new friend today. She saw the girl slip again, and couldn't help but giggling a bit. "I'm sorry, you look like you could need some help."

Lily shouted 'Toxic', but instead she got a mouthful of mud. She got up and spit out the mud. "This is getting annoying..." A distance voice mad her turn and look at the two new people. "Oh... It's only that my sprite won't stop chasing that darn spider."

That was true, until Toxic turned around and ran away, screaming like a little girl. "AHHHHH!" The spider was now chasing her, instead.

"I had the same problem until Ari here" she pointed to her hair, where Ari was still situated "was almost eaten by a big spider. I'm Taneko by the way. Nice to meet you" She held out a hand for the other girl to grab, but was, once again, distracted by a shout.

The second the other sprite started screaming Taneko was on her marks, ready to jump infront of the sprite if it would become neccesary. "Help her damn it!!!" Ari shouted from Taneko's hair.

Toxic continued to scream as she ran by Taneko and Ari, heading toward Lily. "Helpppppppp!"

Lily wiped out her net and waited for Toxic to run past her. When she finally did, Lily put the net down and the spider, who as just thinking about his lunch, ran into it. She swung the other box off her shoulder and made sure not to kill the thing, but still threw it in there.

"Ohmigod....." The red haired sprite stammered as she caught her breath. Lily picked up the box, then picked up Toxic.

"You ok?"

"Yeah... I guess.... THAT WAS A MEAN SPIDER!" Toxic raved, waving her arms around crazy-like. Lily laughed and turned to the others.

"Sorry about that. It's nice to meet you both. I'm Lily and this is Toxic."

"That was one fast bug catch!" Taneko said. Laughing ever so slightly at the other sprite. "Anyways, it's nice to meet you, Lily, and you too Toxic! I'm always glad to meet new people. Especially since I'm still slightly new, and hardly know any of the other parents."

"Are you okay?" Ari asked Toxic genuinly concerned "The spider didn't bite you or anything?" it was obvious how worried Ari was. But maybe that was what happened when you almost got eaten by a spider yourself? After a few seconds she continued "...and that spider was NOTHING! You should have SEEN the one Taneko and I caught in the Orchard! It was like... HUUUUGEEE!! I swear, if it hadn't been for my stunning speed and interlect, it would have eaten me!"
Taneko just rolled her eyes, and laughed at her sprite.

"Do you have problems with bragging sprites as well, or am I just lucky?" she jokingly asked Lily.

"...and then we... hey... wait... what was THAT supposed to mean?"
Taneko just smiled affectionately at the sprite "Oh nothing... nothing at all..."

(I hope you don't mind me bringing in that little story Ari made up... Somewhere?.... I read the journals, so it may have been there I'll change it if you want.)

Lily laughed at Toxic sat and listened in awe to Ari's story. She was a gulible one. Frowning when Ari stoped, Toxic wanted to know the rest, "What happened after the ebil gaint robot spiders ganged up on you with the plants and you got stuck in the pit!?"

Lily was cracking up now and looked at Taneko, "Noo, you got lucky. But I was given the gift of a climber." Lily sighed as Toxic climbed up her arm onto her shoulder, totally missing what she had said.

((Not at all! I was refering to the same story myself. It's in the main office, btw ^____^))

Taneko couldn't help but laugh at Ari's face as Toxic asked to hear the rest of the story. It was obvious that she hadn't counted on THIS!

"uhmm... I... uhh... we... uhm... I... you see..." she looked at Taneko for some support, only to recive an amused look saying "you got yourself into this mess, now get yourself out of it!"

"I... the plant hit Neko in the head and she fell over, and then I was clever enough to get the net and catch the spider with my brilliant plan... end off story!!" she finished quickly in one breath, trying to cut off any option of continuing the conversation.

Taneko smiled at Lily and said sarcasticly "oh the gifts they bless us with!" after a short break she continued in a completely different tone "Now that you mention climbing, I was thinking... or rather guessing, that Toxic is a poisonous ivy, right? Doesn't she ever... sting you?"
