Now, he'd grown up around humans. His mother had a special connection with his human, and he knew several others who all were wonderful. He'd never met a mean human. But, like horses, he was pretty sure there were mean ones.
"Afraid? Of Kassie?" He almost snorted, chuckling to himself. 'She's harmless. She adores us, not a mean bone in her body."
Vile? Whew, she must of have a nasty experence with some. "She's not vile in the least." He grinned, "She has treats." he laughed. "In fact...She thinks any human who harms us is vile. She hates those kind of people, and she never uses the word hate." He smiled, shifting his wings. "Like horses, they arn't all bad. Sure, there are some bad ones that ruin the whole lot." he paused, "But...if you look, there are good ones."
He figured he should explain to her about Kassie. "See, Mother had 3 baskets. Father took one and left. Leaving her with 2. She saw Kassie with a few Soq. and saw the connection she had with them. She left me with her because she knew Kassie could, and would, protect and raise me in her sted." He smiled. Kassie was his mother...in a certian respect. "I think you'd like her too...if you met her." He hoped he hadn't offened her.
"I hope I didn't offend you..." He scuffed his hoof on the earth, the puff of dirt becomming extremly interesting.

She listened intently as the stallion described his human. She seemed like a nice creature, but, Tuli was still wary. She'd never met a human, nor did she really intend on doing so in the near future. She adored her freedom and didn't like the thought of someone, especially another species, taking that from her.
"You haven't offended me....and I hope I haven't you. You see...they captured my father when he was young....I've heard stories of how they treated him....and each other...." her voice trailed off, she didn't want to talk about them. At least not the ones that her father knew.
"Your....Your human sounds nice though," she pondered for a moment, unsure of where to go next. "Did she always accept you like that..." her curiousity perked.

He blinked, shaking his head. How could a creature treat another so awfully? It was damn shame.
Ty gave he a smile, nodding. "She absolutly did. Never once made me feel like a freak. In fact, she made me feel normal with others made me out to being a freak." He have his make a shake, smiling at her. "In fact, I bet she'd be thrilled to met you, and your father. She's never met a mutant. She'd find something about him to rave about. She adores all of us so much...even the most bizarre looking to us, she finds them beautiful..." He chuckled.
Of course, I can understand you being uncomfortable with humans. You don't exactly have a good view of the humans. Like I said, it only take one bad apple to ruin the bunch..." He smiled, "And no, you definatly didn't offend me. Your entitled to your beliefs, and I respect that." He smiled widely.

Her smile broadened, she was glad to hear that her words hadnt' upset him. "You seem to really like her..." Her head tilted a bit, she wondered if it were possible that not all humans were like those that kept her father in captivity. "I...I don't know about my father...But," she stopped to -really- think before she continued.
"Do you think maybe...I could just -see- her?" Tuli had never laid eyes on a two legger, she thought it might be interesting just to see how they worked. "Maybe....maybe my father was wrong about them?" it was the first time Tuli had ever questioned her father's beliefs, but surely they couldnt' all be bad...could they?
"How long have you been with her?" her head tilted to the other side. She was sure it had to have been quite a while as Ty had told her he had been with the human since he was still in his basket.

Ty gave her a huge smile, nodding. "I do. She's all I've known for so long, its hard to see how others DON'T trust them...But then, I can see why they don't..." His father just didn't like them. If humans had wings, he'd be all over them.
"See her? You mean, just look at her?" He gave her another grin, "Oh yea, If you want to."
"I've been with her my whole whole life. Well, maybe like a few days after I was born. But She's all i've known. Mother only came into my life as of late...So she's my human mother." He chuckled, giving his mane another shake.

Tuli laughed and looked a bit embarassed, "Yes...just...look at her." she didn't want to get too close, her father had made her skeptical of humans. Ty didn't make them sound too bad though.
"I've never actually -seen- one...I've only heard tales from my father." she stated. Her curiousity often got the better of her.
"What..what do you two do together? I mean.....Does she ride you?" she remember her father telling stories of the two leggers mounting him and the others and riding them into horrible battles.

Ty laughed. "Yea, I'll take you to see her sometime, she's not far from her now, actually."
He smiled, nodding. "Yea, she has before, but I think i'm a bit to big for her. She ride's Chaci alot more than me. I've taken her flying a few times, she enjoys that alot. But, with my size, she has a difficult time getting on my back, I actually have to lower myself so she can crawl up." He chuckled, "Its quite funny actually."
He knew right away why she asked. "She's never forcefully ridden me. I'm guessing they forced your father."

Her smiled broadened, it was...different....to hear good things about two leggers. Ty seemed to genuinely think his was a good one. She pondered on the idea of just...looking. She knew her father would not approve of her being so close though.
"Chaci?" Her head tilted as he mentioned another soquili. "One of your herdmates?" she inquired before continuing.
"Yeah...My father and many others. They found them in the mountains...captured many of them and kept them captive for their own. My father use to live high in the mountains....Only angeni's could get higher up. To this day, he's not sure why the two leggers came so far...he and his kind thought they were safe there...." her voice trailed off.
Quickly she changed the subject and perked back up. "Can we....Can we go look?" Her eyes gleamed at him.

Ty chuckled, nodding his head. "Yep, she is. Grew up with her. She should be there too..."
The male shook his head. "It is such a shame, poor souls...Those humans are true monsters...But mine's a sweetie."
He grinned wide, nodding. "You bet we can. " With a flick of his tail, he turned, heading off in the direction of his home. "I hope you like apples and carrots...She'll try and smother me with them..."He laughed, "And I usually can't eat them all."

"Apples!?" Her ears perked, along with her interest now. She loved apples. "...Carrots? What are those?" she never had carrots before. She feasted mainly on flowers, grass, and berries....when she was young, her father would bring apples home after some of his extensive travels.
"So, Chaci's your mate?" she inquired as she took a few trotting paces to catch up with him, "I don't have a mate. Mom says I should..." She shrugged. "My brothers and sisters have all found someone..I...I've found someone I like, but I haven't seen him in a while."
She was becoming more comfortable with Ty, and as a result, she started rambling as she walked.

Ty laughed, nodding. "Yep, she has a tree close. And carrots, well there hard to explain, but you'll get to try one."
The steel colored male froze,"M-mate? Chaci?" He snorted, begining to laugh loudly. "N-nah. She's my best friend. " He grinned. "But she'll make someone a good mate. Just not me." he nodded once, listening intently to her. "Yea? Thats great you met someone. I wish I was having the same luck...All the females I've met have wanted something...like my wings...or information about my kind..." He lowered his head. "Too much of a freak for alot of females..."
Woah...where did that come from?

She stopped in her tracks after hearing his last statement, completely forgetting about the treats that they had been speaking of.
"Freak?" her head tilted, "Why? You're not a freak at all." She didn't understand why others would think such a thing.
"I think you're quite nice,"
"And quite handsome" she thought to herself before continuing,
"And I think they're all wrong." She gave a very confident nod. "Perhaps you just haven't met the mare that's right for you yet, she'll come along." she nudged him playfully in the shoulder before starting to walk again.

"Ah...yea. I haven't met her yet. " He shrugged, shaking his head. "I wish every mare had the open mide you do. Course, you grew up accepting others differences."
He smiled, nodding toward a large clearing, where a fire was burning brightly. "There it is." He nudged her shoulder, pointing with his head. "I'll go get her. If your not comfortable, let me know. If you want more interaction with her let her know. She won't come near you unless you give her the signal she can. I'll be with you the whole time." He pushed through the underbrush. "You ready?"
He gave a loud nicker, and watched the teepee at the far end of the clearing. Chaci's head poked around the side, before disapperaing again. The cream coated mare moved around the teepee, Kassie following behind. "Thats Chaci and Kassie." He grinned, watching as Kassie carried a bag with her. "And the treats."

"I suppose...But then...I just don't think you're a freak." She shrugged slightly. "My father...my father was called a freak, but he's the nicest stallion you could ever meet. You'll have to meet him one day, I think you'd like him." She said in a friendly manner. She figured it might help Ty to meet someone who was more of a 'freak' than he was.
She turned as Ty asked if she was ready, her eyes focused in on the first movement she saw. The mare peeked out, she looked lovely. "That must be Chaci? She's pretty." she whispered.
Her eyes then caught the movement of the two legger. Tuli's body went slightly stiff as the human began making her way over. She had only wanted to look at her, not meet her...not be touched...what if she tried to...
Her thoughts stopped at Ty's words, "treats".
"Treats?" she asked curiously.

Ty smiled. "That sounds great. and Yea, thats Chaci."
As if sensing the mares discomfort, Kassie stopped, nodded to Ty and handed over the bag to the mare before wandering over a pile of logs.
Chaci nodded and picked the bag up with her jaws, toddling over to the pair. She set the bag down at Ty's feet, allowing the apples and carrots to spill out. "Hi there Ty." She turned to the mare with a grin, "Hi there! I'm Chaci, its nice to meet you!" She smiled, glancing back to Kassie who was heaving a too large log into the fire.
Ty laughed, nodding to Chaci. "Hey Chaci. What is she doing?"
The cream coated mare shurgged. "Trying to act like she's not watching us. She doesn't want to make you nervous." She smiled warmly at Tuli. "She can tell your not comfortable with her. She's good at reading us. She won't come over unless you let her know its ok. She's trying to winter proof her teepee, anyway. We might be heading over to Papa and Tashika's teepee if it gets too cold."
