"We females consider it our duty to keep your male egos at a manageable level; makes it easier for all concerned," Rusayla quipped, spreading the salve evenly on the edges of his wound. Exchanging light hearted barbs was quite enjoyable, surprisingly. Also, she was acquiring quite a new perspective on her harp lessons; the instrument was proving to be quite a conversation starter!
Her mind briefly flashed back to a memory of beating wings and glistening teeth. The creatures had a fair resemblance to bats, and she fancied she remembered feeling the slight tingle of sonar. As if she needed another reason to cart her harp along everywhere . . . "I've met someone who sang to control mists; it was quite interesting to watch." She snorted at his sarcasm, pausing at her dabbing to scoop some more salve from the jar. "You're a warrior, Ryn, yes? One would think you'd be accustomed to pain."

"Hmn. That would explain why your in charge then." Ryn casually replied to her quip. His smile was unfortunatly broken by the flickers of a grimance as she spread the salve on his wound. It hurt of course, and Ryn never was one to enjoy any sort of pain. In order to not dwell so much the pain he focused on the conversation opportunity his healer provided him with.
"Singing to control a mist? I can imagin that might be a very pretty show." He agreeably commented. Though with her next comment his smile faltered just a little. With his particular up bringing Ryn was well aware of his...delicate flaws that he was still working to overcome. It was a bit sobering to have even a healer take note of them.
"Ah. That is a misconception Lady Healer...only poor warriors who are too slow to avoid a blow needs to be accustomed to pain. If your a smart and fast warrior you never get hit, meaning you never have a chance to deal with the pain."
