The Spectre glared at the two beings in front of him, then turned to face Sholeh. "Judgement shall be withheld, for now. To prove your innocence, bring the ones responsible before me, here. You have one day. Retribution must be delivered."

Both Burr and Sholeh's eyes widened. "Dude...I don't think...that is...they won't..." Burr started, but could put into words what he wanted to say. Bring the upper Gods here. They did as they wanted...listening to a lower class being was...they wouldn't come here. And who would they bring? There was a good number of them that loved the games.
How would she bring any of them here?!

"You shall remain silent, mortal." The Spectre raised a hand towards Doctor Strange, but the Stranger suddenly appeared in the direct way.
"You already know that you cannot kill me. You have tried before, and you have failed. The judgement that was passed upon me long ago places me above you in that sense. And I will not allow you to kill a man for speaking reason to you."
"You try my patience, Stranger."
"Yet you know we are right."
The Spectre turned to Sholeh once more. "Very well. Take me to you masters."

Strange looked actually quite calm, considering. Actually, he looked completely collected. "Have fun," he said cheerfully, and then vanished.

Sholeh stared silently at the being for a moment, her eyes still wide and frightened. By now her hands were visibly shaking. That...that was almost worse. If she took him there, then they would be mad at her. And...there was absolutely no guarantee that anyone would be on her side or anything. They could decide to start the punishment while he was with the others.
A second later she felt someone nudge her shoulder and her mind snapped back to reality. Burr was standing beside her now. "If she takes you to them...could you...keep them away from her? We won't be able to do anything once we're around them." he asked the man.

Sholeh relaxed enough that her hands stopped shaking. Burr gave her a small smile and kept a hand on her shoulder. "Alright? Let's go then."
Sholeh hesitated a moment, then swallowed hard. A bright light soon enveloped her, Burr, and the Spectre. When the light dimmed, the three were gone.

Carlie gave a small yelp of surprise as the odd burst of energy that had consumed her in Latveria seemed to spit her out inside the JLA Watchtower. She landed on her knees, hard, and slowly stood up to get her bearings. At first, she had no idea where she was, but she looked over at the nearest window to see Earth below, and the JLA Satellite in orbit, and it hit her: She was on the Moon, and therefore in the Watchtower.
But... the Watchtower had long since been destroyed by the time Carlie had become a GL, so how was it here now? Did the Multiversal Merge wind up warping time to such a degree that it affected whole structures, whole areas... Maybe even muddled certain areas up so that two versions of the same location would exist in the same space at the same time?
... And wasn't that supposed to wind up destroying the universe, or at least those alternate areas that had wound up occupying the same space at the same time?
Carlie shook her head and sighed a bit; the theoretical bullcrap from her AP Metaphysics class wasn't so useless after all, it seemed. No less confusing and irritating, but not so useless. Deciding to do some snooping around before notifying her parents of where she was, Carlie began to look around the Watchtower, finding a computer terminal and using her "hacker skillz (with a 'Z'!)" to access the JLA database. Perhaps unsurprisingly, there wasn't much information on the new heroes like the ones she had seen in Latveria, but what did pique C.J.'s interest was the current JLA roster's status:
Superman: Inactive
Batman: Inactive
Wonder Woman: Inactive
Martian Manhunter: Inactive
The Flash: Inactive
Aquaman: Status Unknown
Green Lantern: Active
... And that was simply the Seven Founders. As Carlie scrolled down the list, she found that a great many of the JLA roster as it was at this period in time (whenever that was; all Carlie could tell was that it was at least after the Blackest Night event as told to her by her father) were either listed as "Inactive" or their statuses were listed as "Unknown", meaning that the Watchtower either knew that they were incapacitated (for the former) or it couldn't find them (for the latter). Very few of them were listed as "Active".
Carlie remembered Hal and Billy Batson talking in Keystone City, and her father remarking that many of the JLA members were kidnapped. Carlie hadn't thought much of it at the time, but as she looked at this list, she got a real idea of just how completely, utterly screwed this Multiverse would be if Nekron rose to his full power-- and he had help! The first Blackest Night was barely survived by those fighting Nekron; they had suffered losses, but not very many, and Carlie figured it was mostly due to the JLA's heavy-hitters being able to-- Wait, no, that wasn't right. Several of them had become Black Lanterns, she remembered.
Scrolling along, Carlie accessed the files for the JLA's younger counterparts, the Teen Titans. She had seen Miss Martian, Starfire, and Raven in Latveria but had not gotten a chance to talk to them. The information she was looking at... was not good. Many of the Titans, former or otherwise, were listed as "KIA"-- Killed In Action. Nearly all of the others were unaccounted for. Superboy, Beast Boy, and Robin (Tim Drake, who by Carlie's time had adopted the moniker "Red Robin") were still alive, as were Nightwing, Jinx, and Kid Flash... but Titans Tower was kaput.
This is not good, this is not good, this is not good... The words kept repeating themselves in her head, and Carlie felt her breathing quicken as she stepped away from the computer terminal.
"Aw, crud... I am so in over my head here..." Carlie said aloud, though no-one was around to hear her. "Jesus, C.J., what have you gotten yourself into? You could've gone and found a way to get back home to your time and avoided all this, or you could've just gone exploring and righting wrongs of your own volition; instead you've got Black Lanterns and who knows what else looming, and you've gotten knowledge that pretty much all the people you grew up idolizing are either dead or missing or captured... What do you do when the fate of existence is on your shoulders?"
Carlie pondered this question in silence for some time, and then the voice of John Stewart enetered her mind: A memory from when she was growing up, and had asked "Uncle John" that very same question. And then the answer John had said to her came forth from her own lips:
"...You plant your feet."
And like that, Carlie Jordan's morale rose; Yes, she was in over her head. Yes, the good guys were vastly outnumbered and outgunned, or at least they were going to be. And yes, Carlie wasn't feeling totally optimistic about their chances. But as she said those words, the fear she had been feeling seemed to disappear, as if a literal weight on her shoulders was lifted, and in its place was a sense... not necessarily of hope, but of gritty determination. Even if she didn't survive when the big battle finally came, even if the heroes lost... they would not go down without a fight.

Carlie jumped at Hal's sudden entrance, and looked to him.
"Oh! Hey Daddy. Yeah, some... kind of energy spontaneously erupted around me and transported me here, and I was so totally about to send a message to you and Mom, and I most definitely did not hack into the JLA databases using my 'leet hacker skillz', no sir..." she said.

Hal blinked. "That's....why I came in here." Hal said, holding up his ring. "I'd just turned all of that off, and I was notified that someone was in here, and the computer was on again." he replied, then paused a moment.
"And what energy? Did something happen at the Sanctum?"
