Her large dark eyes watched Soren, Their silvery wisps looking like universes of wisdom, a smile played on her lips. " Yes, greetings..." She smiled warmly at Gweneth and stood. " I've a charm for you...with..this ominous feeling i wanted to make sure you and your family was safe..." she reached into a cloth bag back by her own hut and came back to hand her the gems that had been inscribed with runes. They were different colors and glowed softly. " please will you take them ? "

Speaking of breakfast...
Gweneth quickly became distracted from the introductions by thoughts of food. She hadn't eaten all night, and she was about as hungry as she was tired. But it would be rude to just leave right now.
Gweneth eyed the traveler with a small devious smile. I wonder what he would like for breakfast? Would it be too forward if I made something for him? What can I cook? Maybe some biscuits...mmm...biscuits...
She snapped back to reality only after Talia spoke to her. "Huh, ominous? Oh yes! I mean what? Er...do you know what's coming Elder Talia?" Gweneth looked at the gems offered to her. "Oh, they're beautiful! I bet they're very valuable." Gweneth all at once felt guilty for wanting to accept such a gift. She wanted to protect her family most of all, but she didn't feel right about accepting special treatment. Before accepting, she looked at Talia uncertainly. "Are you sure? I mean, I'm flattered and I'd certainly sleep better knowning that my family was under your protection, but surely the other families in the village are in equal danger. My parents aren't very old yet, and are still quite strong. Maybe it would be best to offer such a gift to one less able to protect hisself? Not that I mean to question your judgement, Elder, but...um...I just wondered, why my family?"
Gweneth normally didn't get so uncomfortable or tongue-tied, even when speaking with the elders, both of whom she deeply respected and loved. But she was notoriously bad at accepting gifts.

" because you're whom i saw first " She said laughing softly. Even softly it came across as bells. " Do not worry for the others. your mother is getting over a cold and this will help, and i'm giving them to everyone when i make them. I appreciate you as a guard Gweneth...I want you and yours safe...so..do not argue and take these..." she said putting them in the guards hand and folding her fingers over them." and as for knowing whats coming...that i do not....i worry it has to much to do with Verin....that boy gets in bind with that disease and i'm worried enough to get gray hairs.." she joked.
" I have some biscuits in my hut it you would like some. I know you watch the village at night and this morning you must be hungry " Talia said her eyes dancing with knowing. She had watched Gweneth grow up and knew the girl loved her food. Especially Biscuits.

Given away only by the slight leaves crunching under her feet, Celia quietly walked her regular route behind the huts close to hers, but not actually leaving the village. She clutched at the sleeves of her dress, pulling them as far up her arms as possible to cover her cold hands against the mild morning. Granted it was only fall, but the thin material of her dress was little protection against the cool breeze, and she made a mental note to wear her coat more often on her night trips. The moon's light was fairly minimal by this time in the morning, the huts casting further shadows over her path, but she found her way by memory and the accompliment of her gift; the reason for her secret walking. Whenever she woke or felt restless in the night, reassured by the fact that her father would be too tired and too heavily asleep to hear her, Celia had made a habbit of sneaking out for a walk to practice and fine-tune her power. The darkness gave perfect conditions after all.
Stopping to peer between two huts, Celia saw the flicker of a fire a small way off and knew the Elders were awake.

Soren stopped in his tracks seeing the guard approaching him, she seemed very friendly towards a newcomer like himself."No need for any of your supplies, I am merely here on my own behalf, so don't trouble with me..." he stopped as his stomach let out a small growl, looking downward."Um..but a hot breakfast would be nice." He spoke in a whisper, smiling then turning back to Markis."My name is Soren, and I thank you for a kind welcoming into your home." he spoke then motioning his eyes towards Talia, nodding."It's very nice to meet you both."

"It is nice to meet you as well, Soren." Markis said as he sat back down. "Feel free to stay as long as you like." Turning to Talia he spoke once more. "Would you mind bringing some out for me as well?" He asked as he looked over at Verin. I wish I could figure out why everything has been odd lately...

Verin just walked off into the forest as the four spoke. Walking around the village from the forest's edge, he walked up behind Celia. "Good morning!" He said with a smile, standing a few feet behind her.

Celia jumped violently as Verin spoke when she hadn't heard him approach, letting out a startled shriek at the same time and shining a beam of white light at him from her palm. Recognising Verin as a fellow villager, Celia immediately closed her fingers around the makeshift light sorce, hoping he wouldn't think anything of it, and blushed madly from having been so surprised.
"Good morning." she replied shyly, returning the smile and scuffing a stray leaf that was stuck to her right boot with the other foot.

Gweneth watched Talia tenderly as she spoke. After the explanation, she was at last able to accept the gift with grace. "Thank you so much, Talia," Gweneth said earnestly as she placed the charms in her pack. "For the charms, your esteem, and breakfast too! I was starving! It was like you read my mind. And I'm sure you'd look just as beautiful even with a few gray hairs. Speaking of Verin, where did he get off to so quickly?"
Gweneth turned her head this way and that trying to find Verin and sensed no sign of him anywhere. That boy...as clever as a fox and stealthy as one too. But I wish he would stay put and recuperate instead of running off.

Raising his hand to shield his eyes from the light, as he looked away, he was blinded momentarily. Rubbing his eyes, as his eyes re-adjusted to the morning light he laughed. "No need to be so shy." Swatting a fly away from his face, he looked over at her as she blushed. "I'm hungry..." He said randomly, changing the subject. "Want to get something to eat?"

The blush on Celia's face deepened slightly, she was glad, however, that Verin hadn't pressed the unexplained light at all.
"Um," would her father notice her missing? He probably wouldn't be awake before her usual get up anyway..."Yes, ok." she answered with a grin after her moment's thought. Another breeze brushed past and she tugged at her sleeves again, rubbing her hands together as they began to walk.

" yes yes Markis..." She rolled her eyes at Gweneth." can you find Verin after i bring the food ? i worry for the boy..." She said walking into her hut and brought out some general breakfast foods. Dried meat, biscuits, and fruit. Setting the bowel by her feet she handed some to Markis " happy now ?" She joked before handing a smaller bowel of the food to Gweneth. " be safe Gweneth ! "S he said before offering some food to Soren."...please take what you like " She said smiling.

As they walked Verin looked over to his hut and saw that people where still around the fire, close to Markis' hut. "By the way. I'm Verin, What's yours? I can't quite remember." He walked over to the hut, and stopped at the entrance.

Markis grabbed an apple from the bowl, and took a bite. "Thank you." Listening for a moment, he noticed it was quiet for the village. "Hmm... Anyone else notice it's quieter than normal?" He asked, noticing that no one else was about and walking around.

Following over to hut by the fire, Celia slightly felt the warmth on her face and walked a little quicker, eager to sit by the flames.
"Pleasure to meet you, Verin. I'm Celia, Zan's daughter."
