Hellsing started as a manga so it counts as anime provided you are talking about one of its more direct derivatives and not the crap American film. Vampire Hunter D counts as anime also. However, neither are particularly gothic. Darth, to what "classy ancient gothic" themes do you refer? I have the feeling you may be somewhat misinformed as to what truly constitutes this classic goth of which you speak.

I know i know its like im always saying the wrong thing....but i usually am so what else is new question
I was refering to the classy "gothic" from the late middle ages to the 18th century such as its architecture and literature and how in some cases it is used as underlying themes for some of todays forms of art, music, film, video games etc.
