The current position he was in made it impossible for Banji to see the face So was making at Shwari. Shwari, however, could have seen it just fine. It was a taunting "PREPARE FOR DEFEAT!" kind of expression. Yes, there was a look for that. They might have been the only ones to know how to make it, but it did exist.
Banji cleared his throat. "I find him to be a charming young male," said the eldest among them far too smoothly. Maybe there was more to him running away from all his wives than just a fear of commitment.
...Nah!
"Yes, Shwari, you heard him." So would've been beaming if you could do that when you felt like throwing up.

Both of Shwari's eyebrows shot up at the declaration. Whatever So had said it had clearly been enough to convince this rogue male to play his mate (for five minutes). He was clearly more dastardly than Shwari had given him credit for. Still, there was one thing that had to be addressed first before he would even consider giving up another one of his stones. This part of the test was crucial.
"Prove it then." Come on So, show us what you got now! Shwari would be damned if he didn't push them both into the most awkward and embarrassing position ever. And then maybe if they could do something mate-worthy he would admit defeat. But only after So had like... rubbed noses with this guy or something. If only lions had cameras. If only.

So could have fought that since Banji had agreed, he'd already won. He'd probably have won twice if he'd taken it up for debate. After all, he wouldn't have made him do anything with Alake if she'd agreed. What Shwari was doing wasn't outside the rules though, it was actually acceptable unless So brought it up for discussion. Maybe he should've, but... He didn't made making Shwari more disappointed.
About the game.
Just about the game.
One adolescent offered up the most strange reaction he could think of after the most strange expression he didn't even know he was making. Was it shame? Who knew at this point. Slow enough to be a slow motion scene in a movie, agonizingly so (no pun intended), he licked Banji on the side of the face.
Yeah, he went there.

Ew he really did go there. Shwari could only stare in open-mouthed shock at what had just occurred before his poor virgin eyes. It took him a good minute for his brain to catch up with what he had seen, and then another two to figure out what exactly he was going to do about it. He had thought that So would totally chicken out at the last minute and do something half-assed. He had never in a million years expected So to go and start... making out with lions!
Deciding that what was seen could not be unseen, Shwari settled for slapping a paw over his eyes and visibly cringing. "Okay, okay, you win. Urg. I hope you don't lick your mother with that tongue." Now that the image was permanently burned into the back of his skull, he had no choice but to give in. It really wasn't worth making So do anything else to the lion. He would have nightmares for a week.

So offered a dismissive nod to Banji, who mumbled something to him and then left. Fast. From there Banji went on and met a leopard who he would have even more children with. Because he was a good samaritan trying to clear his name with karma in his old age through good deeds high in number enough to balance out all the horrible things he'd done. Like leaving that same leopard later. Damn it.
"Yeah," So began in a haughty voice. Time to rub it in while he could. "I had to tell him I was trying to make you jealous because you were making eyes at another lion to get him to help me like that, too."

"Oh is that what you told him?" Shwari replied, as he peeked between his toes just to make sure Banji was gone. Once he was sure that the big oaf was out of the way he dropped his paw, and the fur on the back of his neck relaxed a little. See how stressed you make him when you go licking other men So? I mean, see how distressed gayness makes him? And like... cheating in the game. Yeah, exactly like that.
"I still can't believe he did it though urg. I wouldn't have done it even if that was the excuse." He made a face. Alas, he had lost that devious game, and in the end it has not been as funny as he had hoped. Darn it all. "Guess that means I'm catching dinner tonight huh?"

So could have reasoned and stated Banji had done it because he was a good guy. Unfortunately, he was too busy rolling--yes, literally rolling--in disgust with himself and the situation that had finally, completely hit him. "AGGGH!" cried the male. His Charlie Brown impression was spot on!
So then got up and nodded. "Yes. Yes you are." He could have also said that they should never speak of this again. Luckily he didn't need to. By default, neither of them would, starting now.
Tell him not to talk about what now?
"Let's go."
