"That's the point to why we're here isn't it?" she said, ignoring his remark. She looked over at a bunch of men who were staring at her. "Makes you think they've never seen a woman before...anyways. I'm a mission and I need your help, obviously. I have been sent to retrieve information from 'The Dead Men'. Perhaps you've heard of them?" Callista stopped for a moment as the room went almost silent at her referral to the barbarians on the plains. Seriously... she thought to herself. She rolled her eyes and ordered a drink from the innkeeper and asked the stranger what he wanted.
"What is your name by the way stranger? I don't want to go around calling you stranger," she said then chuckled.

Callista blushed a crimson colour at his compliment and smiled. "Callista," she said simply and took a sip from her drink and looked to Ray. "So you have heard of the Dead Men then? Good. I was hoping you would. It shouldn't actually be too hard really. Just go in, get information get out. I only need you in case the matters get worse." Callista glanced over at the men out of the corner of her eyes and smirked, then shook her head.
"So what other details do you need?"

"Price? Well you'd get half now, and half when we get back alive," she said and leaned in to listen to him. She had heard it all before and wasn't surprised at his remark and went back up. "You will get 10,000 gold pieces now and I will pay for tonights' lodgings and everything else. When we get back you will be given the extra 10,000 gold pieces. Good Ray?" Callista offered her hand in agreement.

Callista raised the side of her mouth in a smile and nodded her head. She took another drink from her glass, and drained the last of the liquid. There was no idea as to what was in it, but it tasted good so she ordered another. "I'm sure they have rooms with two beds. It's not right for someone to sleep on the floor. We'll be doing alot of that on our journey anyways. Keeper? Do you have rooms with two beds?" she asked.
"Two? Well now...lemme see...4..5..nawp. I don't say we do. Sorry miss," he said.
"That's fine. Ray, we'll share the bed then. No floor, but no funny business got it?" Callista drank some more of her drink and grabbed a piece of bread from the tray that was set before them, and took a bite. She nibbled it in silence, not really knowing what to say anymore.

"Well if I ask, then it wouldn't be very funny would it?" Callista asked and then smiled to herself. How dumb was that? she thought to herself and almost missed his question. "What? Oh...um...well...it's kind of complicated really. I was sent on a mission to get information because of the war right? Then, it's also apart of my 'initiation into society' or something..." Callista even added the quotations with her fingers.
"Let's change the subject. Tell me about yourself," she said as their food was set before them. She didn't like talking about her home or herself very much.

She stopped and cocked her head to the side as she looked at him. "Because..." she urged him. Callista was aware of some new conflict now, but was unaware of what it was. "If it's something to do with being a bodyguard or a cold blooded killer, perhaps, I'm pretty sure if that were the case you would've killed me by now. So you can trust me." She reached a pale hand over to his arm but stopped. I just met him and I'm already consoling him. She continued her action and rested it on his arm, and smiled.

Callista said nothing but stared at him. His yellow eyes hadn't actually captured her until he said something and now, she couldn't seem to pull away from Ray's eyes. The white hair, the yellow eyes, the muscular yet lean build, it all added up. She nodded in understanding. "It's okay. As long as you don't go beserk on me we're fine," she said and began to eat her food. Within half an hour, she was done and she had not spoken a single word. "I'm going to bed now. Feel free to come up whenever you like." She placed ten gold coins on the counter and headed up the wooden stairs and into the bedroom.
The bedroom was sparsely ((sp?)) furnished, with a bed big enough for maybe one or two people, a window, a wash basin, and a chair. There were no drawers of any kind, and there was certainly no source of water, so Callista assumed you had to go outside. Stripping to the light clothing that was beneath her leather armour, she slid under the cold blankets and was soon fast asleep.

Callista awoke in the night to hear growling noises coming from right beside her. Forgetting where she was and who she was with, she grabbed a small hidden knife from her boot and rolled over to the sound, and then remember it was only Raykine. Her purple eyes had adjusted to the almost non-existant light now and noticed the scars on his body. "Oh Ray," she mouthed. Callista extended a shaking hand to his back, but pulled away, deeming it safe to not touch him. She flipped back over and fell back asleep.
About two hours later, Callista awoke again and this time she rose and got dressed quickly, for she was cold and didn't want to be cold any longer. The sun was starting to make it's rise and began to shine through the window. She stretched before putting her cloak over her arm and heading downstairs for breakfast. She didn't bother to check and see if Ray was awake or not.
