He pulled closer before dropping the kill, nudging it gently towards them with his nose. Then, lifting his head, he regarded the mother through kindly eyes.
"Don't mention it. Please. We have strict rules here and can sometimes be deemed as unkind, but new rules state that we would never hurt one such as yourself." He seated himself and looped his tail up across his forepaws. For a moment he was silent, then he met her gaze again.
"Actually, I have been considering your situation. That favour I spoke about yesterday, do you mind if I ask it of you now?" He paused as the cub appeared from the den and tottered towards her mother. He smiled gently and cleared his throat.
"Glad to see you're feeling better today." She seemed far more alert than when he'd met her.

Moja smiled down on Tezo, and drew her close with a gentle paw so that she could again snuggle up to her warmth. And though the object changed, Kidondo was met with the same expression, and once more, the nod of gratitude. As he continued, Moja's ears turned forward intently, and her features more somber, yet still curious.
The mother's mind turned with what else they could be offered, and rose to her feet, eager to meet it. "I will help in whatever way I can, Kidondo." Her voice was far more serious than perhaps she intended, but every word was true.

Tezo looked up as the big male cleared his throat, being dragged towards her mother at the same time. Not sure how to respond to him she just nodded before she turned and curled up against her mother, falling back asleep.
((and I think that's the last post from me, unless you need Tezo for something lol))

He smiled as the cub settled against her mother and turned his eyes – once again – to the female, Moja. “I am glad to hear it. Let me explain.” He paused a moment to gather his words and thoughts together. He liked to be clear and concise, it was the way he was.
“The pride is growing. Now that war is no longer imminent and they have had time to settle with the changes and their new roles, some females have taken mates. This means cubs will soon be on their way. There have not been litters in the pride for a while and many of the couples are youngsters – first time mothers and fathers. I think they would take great comfort from someone like you – someone with a child of her own who can help them.”
He paused a moment before continuing. “So, what I’d like to ask you is if you would consider staying, consider helping us raise our children and keep them safe. In return, the pride would protect you from any danger; we will care for you as our own.”
“What do you say?”

Moja absentmindedly stroked Tezo's head as her ears tuned forward towards Kidondo's voice. The thought of war was worrying, but he said it had passed, and cubs. She smiled, thinking of how her daughter would have plenty of cubs to grow up with and befriend. Her head cocked ever so slightly before he posed his question.
Stay? And repay the debt of their lives? Moja nodded eagerly, and faltered before she could find her own voice, "I-I would like that, very much. To help." She found a home, for herself and her daughter.

Kidondo smiled. "I'm very pleased to hear that, Moja. I guess this leaves me with nothing more than to say welcome to your new home." He dipped his head and then stood, letting his gaze fall across mother and daughter.
Maybe being a father wouldn't be so bad, he thought, looking at the bond they shared. He'd been worrying it until just this moment, thinking he wouldn't be able to cope, thinking he'd be awful.
But didn't cubs just need love and care? He knew he could do that.
"I'll leave you in peace now. If you need anything then please, feel free to ask." With that he turned and headed across the sand.
(( Okay, RP complete. You can now freely RP with pride members. Moja's quarantine ends in exactly 1 month's time. On the 6th January you can send in her RPs to the mule. Tezo, as a cub, is automatically accepted into the pride and becomes a full member. ))
