Luke was yanked forward, suprised by the teen's strength. 'Must be that naga magic.' He thought to himself. "I'll glare if I want to." He grumbled as he was pulled along. "So, where to now?"

Reyson walked deeper into the forest weaving inbetween the trees still holding Luke. He chuckled. This adult could certainly be grumpy sometimes.
"We're going to find water. Lots of it." He walked some more until he found a river. "It's not that big as I was looking for, but it'll do." Reyson let go of Luke and turned to look at him rubbing his hands together excitedly. "Let's see how much water you can hold with your magic."

Luke stared at the river. feeling all at once comfortable and warry. He was part feline after all, but a basis in water magic meant something. He gulped once, praying he wouldn't make too big a fool of himself, and concentrated. The first thing that happened was a large geyser shot up near the center of the river. It's funnel was a controlled tube, but at the top it sprayed every which way. Luke jumped back with a start and the fountain stopped. "How about I try that again." He said bashfully, shakiing some water from his hair.

Reyson stared excitedly at the water, wanting to see what Luke was capable of. He watched the geyser form in awe until it sprayed water everywhere. He nodded spluttering and taken aback. "Let's try that again." he took off his clip and twitched his ears trying to get the water out.

Luke smirked slightly. The guy had seemed impressed before getting wet. Luke stared at the water again, and once more the funnel formed. It grew a little larger than the last, until it managed to unconciously slpit into two seprate funnels. Luke held them for a couple suprised seconds before he had to let them go. The funnels dropped with a giant splash, but Luke hardly noticed the resulting wave wash his legs. A sharp tingle had started at the base of his neck and crawled up his head. He rubbed at his neck tenderly. "So... what'd you think of that?" He thought he'd done alright, and was impressed with the funnels sizes, but he didn't know what was good for a regular cattaur to do.

Reyson watched Luke's second attempt. He was certainly improving. "That was certainly a large improvement." Reyson commented. "Maybe now you should try to control it. Like this." Reyson walked over to the river's edge. Tiny droplets appeared hovering over the water. Reyson looked at Luke for his reaction.

Luke kept a student-like neutrality on his face, but was beaming inside. He'd thought those twin jets were pretty cool. He looked curiously at Reyson's water droplets. Turning again to the water, he tried to copy it. He ended up with a ball of water about the size of an avarage beachball floating in front of him. Every time he tried to make it smaller, that tingle in his neck would start up again and the water would go everywhere. "Do you, you think that the small drops might be harder than large amounts?" He wondered if this was the case, since he seemed able to hold large amounts better than small amounts. Maybe the fine movements require were more straining?

Reyson crossed his arms watching the ball of water Luke formed. He quickly stepped back so he wouldn't be drenched again. He kept staring at the spot where the ball of water had been.
"Maybe you could try to turn the ball of water into another shape and then turn it tiny from there?" he suggested. To demonstrate, he took a sphere of water roughly the same size as Luke's. He compressed the ball similar to the shape of a rope. From there droplets of water appeared from the rope of water. He flicked the droplets in Luke's direction. "Like that."

Luke lengthened the ball and was able to hold it pretty well as a thick rope. He again met resistance when he tried to take drops from it. He decided to start big and work down, so little by little he let bits of the water just drop. The rope was about 1/3 its original size before he had to drop the whole thing.

Reyson stared at Luke as if analyzing him. "You look pretty tired. Maybe you should rest. After doing something so hard to your mind must be going haywire." Reyson crouched down by the river's edge throwing pebbles into the river.

Luke snorted. "I'm fine. It's just controlling little bits of water is complicated..." He shook his head, rubbing his neck again as he sat down despite his evaluation of being 'fine.' He stuck a finger of his free hand into the sand and started making little random patterns. "So... does your magic have an elemental strength? Or is it overall."

Reyson looked at him. "I guess overall..." he leviated the pebble in his palm. "I never tested it out. I just do random things y'know?"

Luke sighed. Stupid parents... Why hadn't they kept him to teach him this stuff themselves?! In his irritation, he focused on a black pebble and it shot across the river onto the opposite shore. He blinked slightly in suprise, then wiped the patterns away from the sand. "It seems like most of the time when I practice, water happens." He pointed at where the pebble had been lost among it's own kind. "That's one of the few times I didn't use water to move it."

Reyson watched the black pebble fly across the river. He turned to look at Luke curiously. "Why aren't you able to do magic properly anyways?"
"Hmm...I guess you have an affinity for water cause you happen to be blue." he guessed.

Luke was just barely able to refrain from flinching from Reyson's innocent question. He portrayed a calm exterior, though inside, as usual whenever he though of this, he was heartbroken. "I was raised by centaurs." He said cooly. "Obviously, they know nothing about magic, so I never used it." He decided to leave out the fact that as he started developing his magic in late childhood, his abilities became a stigma to the other children and was teased mercilessly as some children can do. He twitched his ears and burst out a cleansing laugh, shaking his head in amusement. "Makes some kind of odd sense. Blue like the water."
