well that's good! Since you're so new, you should try to team up with one of us. In a crew, you get tons or orbs and the like even if you're not killing. Last night, some very nice people level 5 and over crewed a whole bunch of people only in the 2 range and took us lantern hunting in the zen garden and on the bassken lake quests. I got over 40 orbs!

well, i haven't focused on some rings, i got like 10 and i've spent orbs on all and least is lvl2...*sighs*
i need more orbs! crying

I tried to start playing and can't because I'm stuck in the train station. I selected my first ring but never received it so now I can't destroy a trashcan and can't continue until I do.
So far zOMG is really sucking. mad

You know that first section didn't have any issues at all in the first days when the far majority of people were using it. Now that more people are getting started, it's as if they've neglected that part of the game.
When there were a lot of people who needed the doll quest and it wasn't working I think there were more people complaining. But I think this is worse because you can't do anything at all with out getting through that first section. At least we could orb hunt or help other people in the other areas finish some quests.

I managed to get in finally. It eventually let me re-do the beginning and it worked this time. So now I'm just wandering around Barton killing things.

Today, I got Logan's quest to kill 10 fluffs. I killed 4, but only 3 registered right away. Right as the next fluff was popping up, the 4th registered and then immediately it said that I had 10/10.
That is definitely a glitch.
Also, talk to some other people I was farming with, I found out that there is a firefox add in that block animations. Apparently it improves the lag situation, but the game is more boring to look at.
Fairy, that might really help your download limit problem if the animations are blocked (as well as the lag). I don't actually know at what point they are blocked, hopefully they are never downloaded (that would be my expecation).

hmmmm. That might be a plan actually! Would have to find out which add on it is and then I'd have to download firefox onto my computer....
lol, haven't got much left for this month so it'll have to wait till the 1st December. But I will definitely have a go ASAP.

So that's what that guy ment by using firefox with an add-on! Do you know the name of it by any chance? I could really use it.

I haven't found it yet.
FlashBlock does just what it says. I experimented with it for a moment. It makes all flash content (house, aquarium and zomg) a button and if you want to see it you click it.
However, once you are in zomg it doesn't make a difference at all.
I think asking in the computer section might yield the fastest results.

Ok, I followed the directions (not so bad after all - the pictures help). It works. I didn't block all the animations. I kept the ones that I use a lot.
So Fairy, it might actually do the trick for you now. You might get rid of the lag and also reduce the amount of data you down load. In your shoes I would block everything that they give the URLs for, to make sure that you reduce the data load as much as possible.
