I live in Hawaii so it's really close to Japan and I'm Japanese so I don't really notice the "Japanese Invasion". We have Curry shops, and Japanese Resturants and Sushi shops all over anyways. We have lot of Japanese shops, my favorites (Daie, Shirokiya, Tamakawaya). Soooo.....hmmm all we need is a Japanese clothing shop and we are set. Well...there are some small shops that sell happi coats and kimonos, but I'm talking about fashion brands and clothing shops like Tokyu. What else do we need....hmm....I don't know. We have Japanese hostess bars, Japanese manga....Japanese Karaoke...I don't know...I know I'm missing something....
I'll back to you.

Big as in having a very influential government that every other country is sucking up to. And its scary... about 50% of chinese hate Japan. At least that's what a new poll said. And it's not just the older generation, it's the young twenty-somes. If only Japan would apologize... sad

I'm really not afraid of China doing anything. China needs Japan as Japan's largest trading partner is China. Plus I mean just because they have a horrible government doesn't mean they're out to invade and influence the world.

Well I think people in China are more aware of Japan's past crimes against them. Most of their grievances stem from the Rape of Nanking. And considering Japan never officially apologized or admitted to doing those crimes, the Chinese government isn't exactly pleased. I can understand that much. sad

I can understand that much. sad Yeah, I remember my history teacher made me watch a video tape about that, that was a fun week. sad . But any apology might be tricky, China might want Japan to apologize for a certain number of deaths and Japan probably has a "it's horrible it happened, but it was a war time and it was a very different government" kind of attitude like most countries would have after so much time has past. Eitherway, the Chinese economy is getting more modernized and booming quick, we might start seeing more chinese classes cropping up here in the states. On some of the forums here, I see people saying you should learn chinese over japanese cause someday it will be more "useful" (some say it's because japanese is 'so easy', don't believe those people!)

I heard that English is the hardest language. I can understand why. I mean, English spelling is sooooo hard, in Japanese it's spelt how it sounds and in English you can't do that. Take a word like "special" spell it how it sounds "spashal". LOL that's funny. blaugh

I was always told the hardest language to learn would be the one in Africa where all they use are clicking sounds x.x
Honestly, it just depends on how fast you take to something to figure out how difficult or easy it can really be.
But I wouldn't know a lot about the "japanese invasion" since I barely notice anything. For instance, we've had this car for almost two years and I just noticed the antenna on the back a couple days ago^^
