Fashir looked down and took a deep breath his tail hung limp, how could he answer her honestly when it might only make her see how right she was. He knew she was right in her choices, but he had never condoned them because they had never been what he had wanted for her, for them. But desires and duties should never be mixed, and while she seemed to understand that perfectly he could never unblur the lines.
"I have always trusted you and your choices Mirage...I tell you you are wrong, but...that doesn't make it so." He sighed and turned away towards the entrance of the cave.

"Then what it is, Fashir?? I don't understand. Explain to me how my choices could be right and you accept that and yet you persist on degrading me by always telling me I'm wrong?" Mirage asked, pressing her face into her fur carpets. It was frustrating and her head was starting to hurt as the pain in her back and shoulder began to return. All she had wanted was to be just like him, being responsible for the turning of the world and... and... And being able to be with him for eternity, even if she wasn't on the bright side of the spectrum. But it just wasn't working. She wondered what would happen if she gave it up. Would she go back to being a normal cat? Would her age catch up to her? She wasn't sure she wanted to know.

Fashir hesitated at the cave entrance and glanced over his shoulder he had ever thought how he could have made her feel, he had only wanted to convince her that being on the opposite side was wrong. He knew that her work was as important as his, yet he didn't want her being the one to do it. It was simply...selfishness.
"I never meant to make you feel degraded Mirage, It is hard though...to do my work while you do yours." He turned and vanished into the coming darkness unable to answer her questions further for fear of exposing more of his own raw emotions.
