First compliment! *fills with pride* OC? *tilts her head sideways* I don't know what that means... Open Canvas maybe... Er... I did the line by hand with an 005 Micron Pen... The rest was Photoshop 6 using a tablet. My hand hurts by the way... xd

It make lines look smooth like that too, but I dont have OC, and I wondered. Oh. Your response was fast. *pokes your pride* 4laugh

Your response was fast. *pokes your pride* 4laugh I don't have it either... yeah... Wish I did. This is how I scan stuff in, assuming you have Photoshop... sweatdrop Take a clean ink line work (no pencil marks...all erased) and scan it in using the Black and White Document option (not B/W Photo) at 800 dpi (no less!) This option is usually meant for Faxes and decides true black and white for the image. Any grays are divided into pure black or white (thus no paper texture!) Once I have my image in Photoshop I immediately change the "Mode" to Grayscale, then to RGB. Next I shrink the image size down to a more workable dpi (usually 400 for me.) Finally, turn the layer option to Multiply... And then create a layers underneath your picture for color. Real quick and no nasty gray texture... The key is that the dpi has to start high, otherwise the lines turn blocky. xp

NO BELLA!! I hate rivalry. I know I already have too many to count. I have ninjas, snipers, and assassins.....Lol. xd
I do everything in photoshop. I wuv thee very. heart
I was wondering...why did you say you change the "Mode" to Grayscale, then to RGB, and not just straight to RGB instead? Is there something that happens to it by doing that xtra step?
You can color by not using multiply mode too. Sometimes colors go dark in multiply mode. That's my preference though. 3nodding

If they are rivals, then that means you ARE a ninja, a sniper... and an assassin! eek whee Oh and that trick with the scanner doesn't work with pencil art, just ink... I bet you know that... nevermind.

Yeah, actually, in Photoshop 6 (not sure about CS), scanning in the B/W Document format creates a Bitmap image. It won't let me go straight to RGB, I have to turn it grayscale first. (which is fine, it anti-alias' the Bitmap by 1 pixel and smooths the lines even more). Actually, I change the DPI to 400 in Grayscale Mode, then to RGB because my computer is 4 years old. An 800 dpi RGB image is rough on my computer performance... sweatdrop
Oh, and if you don't like the multiply option this will help too!
Before, you change the Bitmap to Grayscale, select the pure black lines and repaste them onto a new layer without the white. Then change the mode to Grayscale. That way you can color under the lines without the multiply option. biggrin
