Bella giggled when Jacob came running in, doing the same thing that she had done earlier. "I believe you've already missed that part, Jake," I told him, smiling. "I've already checked Renesmee, and she seems to be fine." Bella was not only trying to reassure Jacob, but also it still bugs her sometimes when he acts this way to her daughter. She knows that it's irrational to react like that, but she can't shake it off. Renesmee was her daughter, after all, even if she was Jacob's imprint. Bella was the one who had almost died giving Renesmee life, not Jacob. Bella scolded herself. No, it's silly to think such things, Jacob's a part of the family now, she thought to herself.

"Okay, so can we go? I'm thirstyyyy," she begged. She'd gotten it from Jake, but she didn't like moaning. She found it emotionally disturbing. "omigosh, there's an elk by the stream! I can smell it.. Hurry up, hurry up."

Jacob grinned at Bella. He was glad things were right between them now. And then he glanced down at Nessie, "Yeah, yeah, fine! Come on!" Jacob grabbed Nessie in his huge arms and leaped out before she could protest. He set her down on the porch. "We ready to rumble or what?" He asked her.

Erika emerged from the trees. She had come a long way since the news of a half-vampire in America had spread to her after the Volturi had caused an uproar. In front of her ran a stream. Bending down she stared at her reflection. Her wavy black hair drifted around her smooth, beautiful, pale face which was marred by smudges of mud from her long travels. Her clothes were now damaged and overall she looked a mess. She splashed the cool water over herself and scrubbed away most of the marks. Feeling refreshed she lay down in the soft grass and closed the lids on her vivid green eyes. Slowly she drifted off to sleep.

"Like a well oiled machine. Let's get outta here." She looked into his huge eyes before they left. She smiled and said "You don't have to treat me like I'm really a seven year old. I'm thirteen for cryin' out loud. Then again I'm pretty sure that's tempting to pick me up like that... But, that's okay, Jake, you know I love you." She'd said it several times before but she never realized how much she meant it until now. But her throat burned so she broke into a jog.

Alice sat quietly on the bottom of the huge staircase, humming tunelessly waiting for something interesting. " well then!" she said standing up " i've been sitting here for 3 hours for something to happen,and what do i get? nothing! Except the fact that it's going to rain in about 42 minutes and the eagles are going to win their next 4 games....." she leaped up the stairs in several bounds, across the hallway, and into her room in seconds. ' might as well not mope around ALL day!" she piped walking into her massive closet. " what to wear...aha!" she yelpped. She got dressed quickly and wondered back down stairs.

Jacob laughed. It felt so good when Nessie told him she loved him. Better than...well, if Bella said it. Jacob realized that the only thing he cared about with his complete heart was this girl standing before him. "Ok, well, gorgeous! Ladies first..." Jacob easily followed behind her, pausing behind a tree to tie his shorts to his leg and phase, then emerging as a large wolf. He howled lightly as they approached the elk.

"Sush, Jake..." Renesmee warned. She hunched a little and pounced at the elk. He made a very strange sound and he was dead. Nessie drank his blood to nothing. She washed off the blood in the stream. She looked up and only then she noticed another girl near the stream sleeping. She had blood pulsing in her vains she could tell and she was beautiful like her and all the other vampires she'd ever met. But she wasn't sure. Jake was next to her and as she stared at the girl, she touched his arm, giving him the image of the boy they'd met when the Volturi incident occurred. She quietly, oh so quietly knelt down to the girl and touched her skin... Cold. She was a half- like her. She jumped back gasping and muffling it awkwardly with her hand.

Erika's eyes flew open when she felt a light touch on her arm. She saw a young girl who was utterly beautiful and beside her stood a large wolf. Her gaze flitted from both figures in surprise. She shied away into the grass that she lay upon. She could tell that this girl was not human but she wasn't completely sure if she was vampire either. She hadn't come across a vampire for at least 3 months now since she left her home.
"H-hello," she murmured. When she spoke her accent was slightly european and her voice floated like bells. "Um, would you be the child of the Cullen's?"

Her heart pounced like a tiger. Cautiously, she replied. "I am... Uh-" she stuttered. She was a little self conscious of her American accent to her Euro. "Where do you come from and who are you?" she said bravely thrusting up her chin. If her parents or anyone knew her, she was safe for the most part. If she came from Volterra, she'd have to be extremely careful. She shivered at the thought, but pushed it away.

Jacob watched her hunt carefully. She was so graceful. He followed her to the stream, and as she drank from the stream, let his mind wander to the other wolves. Still a far distance away, but as Alpha he could read their thoughts anyway. Suddenly, new images blurred out his current thoughts...Nessie was telling him about this vampire nearby. His attention snapped back to attention. The vamp spoke, and Nessie responded. Jacob growled, and took a step forward protectively. His teeth bared in warning not to even touch Nessie. Meanwhile, as a precaution, Jacob told Edward in his mind 'Vampire here that knows the name Cullen. Edward, Bells, get over here!'

[okay, since no one has taken Edward still, I'll take him for the time being...]
Edward would not let a thing hurt Renesmee and without thinking he ran as fast as he could to her. He was there in a matter of seconds and he knew Bella would be there quickly, too. He threw himself in front of Nessie and Jacob. Then he realized Nessie's mood. She was calm as the stream running beside them. Jacob was still growling and Bella's scent was getting closer.

Alice skipped around on the main floor, cleaning up a few things, putting books away, rearanging the flowers, just the basics. " maybe i should go and see Bella...." she muttered. halfway out the door, she paused, her eyes unfocused for a moment......nothing. "Honestly....that dog picks the worst moments...." she uttered, as she walked quickly to the cabbin-like house. she reached the door, and inhaled deeply, out of habbit." thats strange....." she whispered, smelling a hint of Elk blood and another, unidentified smell " thats not Renesmee.....or maybe it is and im just going insane, but i should check..." she said turning to follow the smell.

Erika carefully got up. "I'm not here to harm you," she explained as she held her palms up in front of her, "I'd just heard of a half-vampire living in these parts and came to investigate," she paused, eyeing the wolf and bronze haired vampires with a wary gaze, "I am a half-vampire myself but I don't know where I came from or who my parents were. I felt alone, I only wanted to find someone else like me," she continued. Erika appeared to only be about 12 and she knew that she couldn't stand up to a wolf, a vampire and a half-vampire all at once. She prepared herself to run if the need presented itself.
