. __ ___ _____ ★ 2.5 Million Gold Pocky Once upon a time, There lived a lone stranger who was kicked out of his home in search of some sweet treats for his dearly beloved. On this particular day, candy was not hard to come by with all the marry cheers of "trick or treat" coming from various children that skipped by with their candy bags. Xan watched with cool interest as the children passed him on the streets. Tipping his hat and moving aside, he chuckled lightly to himself.
For his being out so late at night, was no surprise as his lover had quite a sweet tooth. Slipping past various shops with bakery goods and pastries, Xan was in a mood for something new. His journey would bring him to the Gourmet Pocky shop. Curious as to what Pocky really was, he slipped inside surprised at all the people that were gathered about. It appeared to be some sort of event taking place.
Much to his surprise, he slipped into the crowd, blending with those present. It was by accident that he went to scratch his nose during an auction and found himself coughing up more than 2.5mil for a Candy Corn flavored Pocky stick. "What the hell?" He growled, eye balling the strange stick. Not too long after being handed the Pocky he was given strict instructions NOT to eat it because something special would take place.
With a roll of his eyes and a twitch of his ears, he did as told, sighing deeply that he could not eat the treat. Instead he went back home, fairly empty handed. "Sorry, koibito... It wasn't something that could be helped." He breathed setting the pocky on a plate in the kitchen. Here it would sit until this 'something special' took place. All the while, Xan would have to make another trip for sweets.

. __ ___ _____ ★ Yep... It's Still Pocky Even after half the week had gone by, Xan was still skeptical about this "special" pocky he had purchased. It wasn't bad enough he'd accidentally placed a bid on such a small snack treat but not only that, the bid was more than 2.5mil. Who would seriously pay that much? Then he remembered; he had been the sorry SOB who had paid the fee. Sighing deeply he looked at the strange biscuit stick, covered in a candy corn coating. Picking it up, he sniffed at it a few times, it still held that sweet candy corn scent but other than that, nothing new had taken place.
His lover had told him to stop staring at the treat so much, otherwise he'd be tempted to eat the thing. That idea had crossed his mind so many times before. What could possibly be so special to a biscuit snack like this that he'd have to wait a damn week? "I'm going to work in the stables." He muttered to himself, moving along before he DID eat the stick. At least with past experience of food turning into living beings, he could give it one week before the poor biscuit snack found it's way in his belly. "One week."

. __ ___ _____ ★ The Silent Terror! Puck Arrives! "What the hell?"
The scream bellowed into the room and bounced off the walls as it echoed throughout the house. Thanatos Wolverick was met with a rather rambunctious child bouncing happily in his bed. If it wasn't for the fact that he slept in the nude he might have gone chasing after the brat when he darted out of the room. Instead he collected himself, rushing to put on his boxers and a tee shirt. He stepped out into the main room noting the child bouncing on his couch, peels of laughter escaping him but other than that, nothing.
"Uh..." Was the only eloquent thing Xan could think to say as he bypassed the hyperactive cherub and went to the kitchen. Sure enough, the plate that held the pocky stick was empty. "You?" He pointed out.
The child stopped bouncing and leaned over the couch a wide grin on his face. He pointed to himself then the plate and grinned again.
Xan sighed running a hand through his hair. "I see. So can you talk or something?" He asked. The boy shrugged then rolled back on the couch with a giggle. "I take it you don't want to talk then." Again the boy popped up from his perch on the couch and giggled, with a shake of his head refusing to utter a word. "Fine but at least tell me your name?"
The boy stopped in his giggle fit to look seriously at the man. With a finger to his lip he looked questioningly to his new guardian. Shrugging he just flopped back on the couch kicking up his feet. More laughter filling the room, although Xan found nothing quite so funny. The kid was a nutcase. Great not only did he cost so damn much he was mentally impaired.
"Damn." He muttered under his breath with a sigh. The boy looked up curiously then smiled bright. "Huh?" Xan looked to him. "What?" The kid pointed at Xan's mouth then at him. "Huh? I don't follow." With a frown the boy jumped over the couch then came to stand in front of Xan then pointed to his own mouth and back to Xan's mouth. "You want me to name you?" He smiled and nodded his head. "Oh well that's gonna be a problem. I'm not good with naming things, especially kids."
The boy gave a lopsided grin tilting his head side ways. Running circles around Xan he kept he gleeful jaunt, damn near making Xan dizzy to keep up. "Alright, alright, just sit down you're makin' me dizzy boy." Scooping the kid in his arms he took a seat on the couch placing the kid on his lap. "So you want a name, lets see..." As he thought over various names, the boy played in Xan's silvery hair, braiding a few strands here and knotting the others there. "Hey stop that." Xan interrupted trying to comb out the knots with his fingers.
"I'm tryin' to give ya a name here. Sit still a minute would'ja?" And again the name thing became the topic of choice. "Well I got a horse back when I was a kid I used to like a lot... um... oh yeah. Was named for one of them fairies in Shakespeare's play." The boy bounced happily in Xan's lap eager to hear his new name, he waited, and waited, and continued to wait, while Xan mulled over the name. Had it been that long since he had the horse? What was that fairy's name anyway? Would he like it? Growing irritated he looked up at Xan a miffed expression rolling over his features. Xan was still in deep thought as a small hand came flat against his face. With a growl he looked down at the multicolored top but soon stilled his slight anger. "Hey that's not very nice. And that stupid fairy's name was Puck. Would ya like that name?" He asked with a snort.
Puck? Puck. Puck! The smile that spread across Puck's face was a winner. Xan chuckled nuzzling the boy cheerfully. "I take it that you like the name. Now look, it's a pretty strange name so if ya get grief over it just tell folks that you're name's Callahan instead. That's my old man's middle name. We don't get along too well but he's still my old man."
Puck smiled nodding his head in agreement but it seemed he liked that name regardless of a second. Bouncing from Xan's lap he jumped to the floor. Pointing to the kitchen then to his own mouth he gave Xan a pout. "Hm? You hungry?" Puck nodded. "Alright, if you be a good boy and go get cleaned up I'll make you're very first stack of pancakes. How's that sound?" Puck made a soft whoop throwing his hands in the air as he rushed down the hall a gleeful scream on his lips. Xan shook his head, "Damn silent terror. Wash behind your ears too!"
