I'm sorry. I can't give an honest answer to that since I've never seen the film. I've seen I think more than my fair share of scary films. Quaratine is probably at the top of the list right now. That movie freaked me out. And unlike other scary movies with a somewhat good ending, this one doesn't end on a good note.

I completely agree for the actual terror that I felt during that whole basement scene - I went with a friend and we were so scared we could hardly get to the car in the parking lot - we were 30 years old then!!!!
When I read the post title Silence of the Lambs was the first movie that popped in my head too.

Hmmmmm something scary well I never watched anything scary except
Hide and Seek even though it wasn't all gory and stuff, the suspense and
twist at the end scared me because you'd think the girl would kill the baby-
sitter instead it was the dad .

Wait Untill Dark
It's a movie from the 60s. It's not really scary but there's this one part that made me jump actually. These people decide to break in a blind woman's house but the disguise as people who give her service to plan out what to do that night.
Think about it... it's pretty scary that there's something threatening your life and you don't even know it.

Childs Play gave me nightmares as a child... I love Silence of the Lambs, its in my top 5... I love Anthony Hopkins, that movie is almost word for word from the book... but Murder, Set, Pieces (killer in Las Vegas) and Karla (the barbie and ken killers of Canada) were by far more violent and disturbing... btw a bit snuffy and not for the faint of heart

Pandiie the exorcism of emily rose, i watched it when i was just in year 7 gonk Are you kidding? Bloody terrible film, that. It was a stupid law drama that attempted to pass itself off as a horror by intercutting to the dreams/visions of a paranoid schizophrenic. And the trailers gave away EVERY scary moment the film had, leaving nothing but law crap. And it didn't even do the law crap well. I say nay to The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

The Exorcist and The Exorcism of Emily Rose are very scary.
Freddy Krueger scared me when I was little, I had the worst nightmares when I was little. I still wont watch those movies to this day.
