If I really, really need to make drama, I will. D: It's just so difficult since we're not talking about anything I care about at all. Or talking about anyone's life at all.

:/
I got it, Pixie. We'll raise a stir after the election... no matter who wins. XD YAY NON DRAMATIC DRAMA!
Seriously, I was totally going to suggest drama after the election. Because it's something people feel REALLY strongly about, hence DRAMA.
I mean, certainly it looks like the election will turn out for the better, but either way, about half of this guild is going to be pissed off on November 5th.

For the better? What do you mean by that? Obviously not that the crazy "let's spend 80+ billion dollars on African nations when our own country is in economic crisis" far-too-liberal jackass getting elected. That's not better. That's worse.

(Your party symbol IS a jackass so you really can't get mad at me for using that term)

Better than 100 years in Iraq, bombing Iran, and giving tax cuts to the already rich. And we already spend that much in Africa every year.

Do you remember what happened in Korea? We went in, started to help, left, and then everything went back to the way it was, except a lot of people died. I don't necessarily agree with the reasons for going into Iraq, but now that we're there, we have to stay there until it's over with.

I think that as a military leader, McCain would do SO MUCH BETTER and will be more practical in his decisions than Obama. I may be enlisting during the next four years, and I'd rather have someone with military experience in charge.

As my dad says "McCain is bad. Obama is worse." I agree with that whole heartedly.

It is overwith. Remember "Mission Accomplished"?

We do need to maintain a presence, but we need to withdraw some troops. And he's a good military leader, I think he'd make a GREAT Secretary General. I just don't think he's in touch with the people's needs.

Election talk? I honestly HATE both of those candidates. Obama is like seriously sketchy... and McCain is old and a douchebag for being all "hey you random a** lady who's a woman and that's all the qualification I need for a vice president, be my vice president".

And then that creepy a** Biden dood...

But then I don't want to waste my vote voting for some random a** liberal party.

Maybe I should just write in my name...

OHHH!! *holds gthb REALLY tight* Why were you crying?

Studying for finals makes me inactive.

And elections are not me. The only way I notice it is if it becomes an inconvenience to me, honestly. Me es question

EDIT: Except that our geography teacher is making us learn words like "Liberalist", "Revolutionist", and "Electoral College". Hope that won't be in our final. stressed (Like one of the questions on a test a few days ago went along the lines of, "True or false: Canada has a higher population density than the U.S." I failed with flying colors. )

I think that most Republican voters have just been tricked by the scare tactics employed by their party. It's Karl Rove's contemporaries and imitators. It's not that they're ignorant, it's that they're listening to the wrong thing. Except my dad. He's ignorant.

As for money, Barack Obama's team has done the math. You can go to his website, enter your family's information into the calculator (not names or anything, just numbers) and they can show you how much your tax cut savings will be under each one of them. My family would save $1000 under Obama and $200 under McCain.

Look, I'm not saying Obama is the new (insert awesome president's name here). But he'd be better than McCain.

I do support Obama, but I am questioning why he chose to spend a shitload of money for that thirty-minute infomercial of his. Wasn't his campaign bitching about how the Republican party spent $150,000 on Sarah Palin's clothes?

That said, I don't want McCain in the White House. McCain changes what he says over and over. I mean, this is the guy who, back in the days, said that people shouldn't resort to baseless attack ads. Now what's he doing? ATTACKING OBAMA VIRTUALLY 24/7. Granted, the Obama campaign has been using attack ads of their own, but it's nowhere as bad as McCain's side.

As for Sarah Palin... Sarah Palin is one of the worst mistakes ever made, and even Republicans are agreeing with it. Her comments on community organizers being useless, her answers that conflict with the McCain campaign's answers, her blatant corruption - charging the Alaska government to fund trips for her ******** KIDS, the Bridge to ******** nowhere and so on - and all the s**t that she does makes me wonder if she's just being plain old crazy. She keeps on talking about her "hometown values" in that nauseating tone of hers, which makes me want to explode.

Plus, there's that clothes thing. The $150,000 clothes budget. They say it's going to be used for charity. WHAT KIND OF ******** HOMELESS MAN NEEDS A DESIGNER BRAND SUIT? GIVE THEM FOOD AND SHELTER, FOR GOD'S SAKES.

Joe the Plumber? JOE THE ******** UNLICENSED IGNORANT ASSWIPE FAILURE OF A PLUMBER? I swear, Joe the Plumber makes the dumbest remarks. Indeed, he made so many ******** dumbass remarks that they replaced him with Tito the Builder or something. Makes me wonder where the Republicans manage to find some of these morons.

Another group that pisses me off is PUMA. PUMA is a bunch of sexist ******** bitches. Hilary / Palin? WHAT THE ******** IS WRONG WITH THOSE RETARDED ******** BITCHES? Just because the two of them are women doesn't mean they share the same ******** values.

I don't think Obama is some sort of saint, but he's way better than McCain / Palin.

There is a LOT more to the republican party then just that Pixie.

I agree with same sex marriages. A lot of republicans do. And a republican president is not going to change the gay marriage laws, same sex marriage laws are states laws, not national (My state btw is now allowing sames sex marriage, yay CT heart ). Democrats are the people who think things should all be national, republicans are all for state rights.

I dont remember if I mentioned this in the other thread, but my 11th grade history teacher told me "If you are young and a republican you have no heart, if you are old and a democrat you have no brain" which I think is the most true thing I've ever heard about the political parties.

I dont give a ******** about other people and I do NOT want to be forced to help others. You want healthcare? Get a job. Dont have a job? Need welfare? Sucks for you, but its not MY problem. And its not the GOVERNMENT's problem. It's YOUR problem.

I think people should take care of themselves and not turn to the government for everything. The government should be in charge of upholding laws, homeland security, the military, providing care for minors who need it, and providing schools, police, fire fighters, etc. Other then that they can stay out of our lives and let people fend for themselves.

Democrats think they need to baby this nation :/ I hate that. I dont see why they think we need government to take care of everything, as if we're a country of morons. I'm very patriotic and think Americans are strong enough to not need to be babied by the government.

This has nothing to do with McCain vs. Obama. This is just why I'm a republican.

Pro-life is one of the republican views im against.

Democrats want less military, I hate that. Republicans want a strong military. Do you KNOW how many countries hate the US? I want the strongest military possible so that I'm safe.

Gun control - I'm against it. But we had this talk before XDD

Tax breaks to the rich - The trickle-down method is great in theory. But I dont know if it works. I hear a lot of people say it works and a lot who say it doesnt. I'm guessing it probably works half the time or something like that. Either way I would rather have it work a little then not at all. I mean its either give a bunch of families a $1000 tax cut (dem), or give corporations the resources to hire thousands of people, giving many households steady jobs? (rep) Yeah jobs > tax cuts please.

Another good saying: Democrats would have Uncle Sam be a bottomless bucket of fish. Republicans prefer to give out fishing poles and provide fishing lessons!

Republicans are also very much for small businesses (which is the American dream heart ) which I like a lot.

Very well said.

I agree with pretty much everything that you said.

In my state, the democrats are attacking the republican governor candidate because he wants to lower the minimum wage and lower unemployment benefits.

Since when should people get REWARDED for not working? Why should the government hand out money to people who are able to work, they just choose to live off welfare? The government shouldn't be anyone's free ride.

Also, the higher the minimum wage, the less jobs a company can offer because they have to pay people more than what the work is for. So with a lower minimum wage you'll have more jobs available.

What it seems to me is that Democrats want a better today, and Republicans want to set things up for a better tomorrow.

YES I DO! I'm not talking about the crap you talk about because honestly, I don't care. I'm talking about face value, I'm talking about what they seem like to me. So the fact that you think I'm "uneducated" about the election phases me about as much as skittles.

I'm going to think that they're both douchebags, and I probably won't be voting because I only vote for people I like, and I don't like any of the candidates. Everything is a popularity contest, even when people say it's not, actually, SPECIALLY when people say it's not a popularity contest.

If I die because of crappy health care, then sucks to be me, if I can't marry some guy, that will suck for me then too. If I get shipped to Iraq, sucks for my coward a**. I'm not going to worry about my future, because when I die, I'll be dead.

No, we want a better tomorrow. A better today would certainly be nice too.

Welfare- Give a man a fish, he eats for a day, teach him to fish, he eats for a lifetime... Problem with that is, sometimes, the fish just aren't biting. We'd prefer to let a man eat for a day while he waits for the fish to bite rather than let him starve. Welfare is NOT a perfect system, and reform IS needed. People do need to get jobs, and we shouldn't support people who aren't trying to work, but some people just need something to tide them over until they get employment.

Minimum wage- The cost of living is rising. Food prices are going up. Property prices are rising. Many companies are making higher profits (or were, up until the stock market crashed). The amount of money 99% of Americans make is NOT. Now, I'm not saying we need to raise the minimum wage, but we can't lower it, not right now. Part of the problem is that Americans like to spend money they don't have, so it's not the government's fault entirely. However, if I were in the workforce right now, working for minimum wage, I wouldn't be able to afford a place to live.

That's just how I see it.
