"I'll keep that in mind," he said, wondering about the funny hunters briefly until the conversation was turned around on him. It was funny that the god was learning from him, at least from Tiki's perspective. But it made him feel important so he wasn't going to argue. He smirked and stopped when the god turned around completely, interrupting their little hunt for more information.
"If you observe them, you'll learn things you didn't know," he explained with a small shrug, "I suppose you can learn how they react by trying to catch them, but you take in more if you aren't just worrying about getting them."

Uhai raised an eyebrow, considering what the lion said. He had spent a good deal of time chasing Pala around and he had never really paid much attention to how Pala had been improving at getting away from him. He knew that Pala was getting more creative with what kind of path he took, zig-zagging instead of just running but really.. that wasn't hard to observe. It was too late to pretend he already knew what Tiki said, it did all seem so obvious now. So he settled for a 'hmph' and turned back around to go back to the hunt.
"This way, I think I see them," he said, squinting.

Tikiti recognized the sign that you had just been told something you should have realized on your own, he had had that reaction before. But that was OK, he only grinned to himself and let the god go back to leading the hunt. He looked up when Uhai pointed out the herd was nearby, and was surprised to find he was right. He looked around to determine where they were- they were considerably farther from the borders than they had started. And where they were was not somewhere he might have thought to go, but it looked about the right size to be the same little herd.
"Would you look at that," he murmured, "Good work."

"Yeah!" he said, returning to his previous enthusiasm and jogging ahead a bit. But soon he slowed down, he wasn't a master hunter yet but he knew that you couldn't just lumber in. Mostly he knew that because sneaking up on Pala was always the best way of getting a shot at catching him. He ducked down.
"OK, are you gonna go get them?" Uhai asked Tiki, though his eyes stayed on what he could see of the herd- though with his small size it wasn't much, "Do you want my help?"

Ducking down just before Uhai realized he should, he crept up by the little god. Apparently they were not done having a conversation- but they were not within earshot yet, just within visible distance so it wasn't too important to be quiet. He considered the offer, wondering what exactly the cub could do to help.
"You can," he said with a nod, not about to turn down some kind of divine help- though he would have preferred something non-physical. He did not voice that, though, and he crept ahead to try his paw at nabbing a snack. It was up to Uhaijizi to decide if and how he would help.

"Ok," Uhai nodded, but mysteriously added, "I'll watch!" He didn't have much conscious ideas about his powers, but this was a good opportunity to test them out! So he crept around and found something above the grass so he could watch what was about to happen. Conjuring up whatever he could think of as a way to help the hunter, he watched thoughtfully. The best idea he had involved staying from view, stealth..
Unpracticed and uncertain, he distantly watched over Tikiti's attempt at hunting trying to help in what equated mostly to thinking good/helpful thoughts for the lion.
