Duncan took a moment to open his eyes, seeming to be a little surprised when a swift death didn't come... instead of eating him the teacher had moved away to sit down once more. The spawn looked at Xeviel for a long moment before he hesitatingly walked closer to him, "Its what I deserved... I thought maybe you were carrying out a punishment against me that I deserved." He murmured quietly.
He hadn't told anyone yet in detail all of what had happened, mostly just mulling it over and saying little things here and there... it wasn't something he wanted anyone to know about... they would think that much worse of him if they knew what he was capable of.

Xeviel scoffed. "What'd ja do? Kill someone?" He waved a dismissive hand. "Listen. Doesn't matter what you did. People here still want ya. " He spoke suddenly serious. "Details. Give me the goddamn details. Then I'll tell you my story. " He was rather patient, not having no reason to be angry,, and that the anger had died.

"I did... worse." He murmured, lifting a rub it against his eyes as though there was a headache building there, "I couldn't control my anger, when I was little... I made a deal with someone, thought it would fix everything."
He knelt down to trace his fingers in random patterns over the ground, claws scrapping there, "I... thought I was healed but... then I found it again, my darker half that I thought was dealt with. It... took over someone else, made that person kill and..."
He shook his head, having to take in a deep breath before he continued, "I killed her, to take my other self back. If I didn't I would have been his slave... but... when I got it back I got its memories... and now I have so much blood on my hands..." He starred at his hands, shoulders trembling, "I hate it, hate that part of myself... no, all of myself.., my dark half, my weak half... everything..." Guilt and self loathing filled his voice and now he couldn't bring himself to look up at his teacher.

Xeviel sighed and patiently listened before leaning down and patting Duncan. "I see... now let me tell you my tale." He spoke softly. "When I was a child, my birth was seen by our tribe seer. She demanded they kill me when I was born, for I will bring death and destruction to the clan with the darkness I hold. My mother refused. I was raised with my brother. However the darkness showed itself many times." He looked almost sad.
"The mage of our tribe sealed it away. He told me it would only come up when I had no other choice. I was happy... until my brother and I accidentally tumbled onto an enemy tribe. The guard told us we'd die for it. I... lost control as the darkness too over. Women and children died... the unborn were tossed into rivers... the seer was dead, the clan leader could do nothing..." He spoke softly, editing anything where there may be a referrence to dragonhood.
"I nesrly killed my own brother. Then I cam here. I didn't know how to hide my odd appearance. I killed often, but go beat up more. I learned to trust no one after that, and to fight to survive. But that is the past, and unless you want to put those you love in danger... I suggest you learn to put your anger to good use."

"What should I do...?" He asked, "Even if I could get my anger under control then what? I mean... I am... still what I am." He twitched his hands... then found himself leaning slightly into the patting he received from Xeviel. It was strange but of late he wanted to lean into all the affection that he got, as though he was sure that at any moment it would be stripped away from him.
"I don't... want to be a monster."

"Of course you are who you are. You expect to become an angel the second you got over getting pissed?" Xeviel gave a dismissive wave. He sighed when the other said that last part. "Well everyone's a monster. Humans are just naked mammals that wear other animal's skins and plants as second skins and pollute the world. The only difference is a nice monster from an evil one."

Duncan considered Xeviel's words before giving a little nod of his head, "They are...? I guess you could be right." He thought on June, on how many animals that man ate in week, what he wore, how he acted... he loved the man but he was very much one that preyed upon weaker creatures. He lifted a hand to scratch at the back of his head, "Is there any hope for something like to be a nice monster though?"
He wasn't sure if he believed it himself, after all he had blood on his hands from many people... even if he were only directly responsible for one death the others were his fault as well, because he had been to afraid and weak to deal with his own darkness, "I... just don't want for everyone to leave me... when they find out what I really am."

"Of course there is, dumbass. Though I wouldn't put my hopes too high of people not leaving you. People leave other people for shitty reason's. That's life." Xeviel shrugged and got up. "We did not come to have tea. Let's keep going now? Stop beating yourself over bullshit. It'll get you nowhere in life, ever." He none-too-softly kicked Duncan, before backing off and waiting.

Despite the harsh words Duncan couldn't help but perk up a bit, relaxing some.. until the kick which caused him to stumble... it would seem the class was back on and the heart to heart was over. he nodded his head, "Alright." He supposed the only thing he could do was try to continue forward in life even after everything that had happened.
He took a deep breath before he lunged forward, a little quicker this time and a little more confidently. He felt he could do better now, Xeviel knew exactly what sort of monster he was and yet he hadn't banished him from the classroom.

Xeviel sidestepped easily and rammed his elbow into the other's ribs. "Don't make your moves so obvious. It's like reading a children's book with you." He spoke, growling softly as he was swift to pull back again. He was not to be caught unawares by some kid, however giving advice in battle was usually not in style, he found he may have to, some kids here can't learn quick.

Duncan slid backward a short distance on his clawed feet, able to keep from falling over before he lunged forward once more. He could do this he thought to himself, he just had to keep moving... and how was he supposed to be less obvious? He tried to quicken his steps before moving to try to attack Xeviel from the side this time.
It felt odd to attack someone like this but still not hurt them... learning to fight seemed strangely out of place given how much didn't want to fight, how much he'd given to try to keep from fighting and hurting people. This was just a class though and the teacher gave out more of a beating then he received so Duncan felt no guilt participating.

Xeviel once more dodged carefully."Stop with the lunging. Leaves you too open on the ribs and back. If they break you're down for the count, maybe forever." He spoke roughly, once more jabbing he male's ribs to prove a point. He barely dodged the side. "That was good. Keep your opponent on his toes. " He spoke calmly, before kicking roughly once more. "Block or dodge more. Best Idea is to counter, but that requires the ability to read the enemy's moves. You can't do that yet."

Duncan could feel sweat starting to form on his skin from the exertion... he was pretty sure this was the best work out he'd gotten for a long while. He barely was able to bring up his arms to let them kick hit them instead of areas that were more vital and hurt more to get hit.
Dodge and block he thought to himself, less lunging... it was a little hard for his battle eager mind to take such things into consideration but he would end up beaten to a pulp if he didn't listen if his teacher were to be believed. He took a deep breath before moving forward, using swiping motions like what he'd learned in his first battle class in an attempt to get closer... maybe he should try one of those kicks like what Xeviel used so effectively he thought, trying to get close enough to attempt one.

Xeviel placed his arms in front of his face as Duncan got closer, not backing away. In normal situations he would lunge to catch his opponent off guard. However this was a class with a boy that barely knew how to fight and he was supposed to teach him. So he let the kid take a free shot. "Nice, nice. Don't swing too much or it'll be too easy to figure out what you're doing."

Duncan blinked, a little surprised when he actually got a hit in and he took a step back, watching him closely, "I will be more careful." He said, flexing his hands and gave a fluttering of his metal wings, "What else should I remember to make me better at this?"
