I use XL Elixers on mine, I like them and they have a nice sound. They resonate well, too. I've tried D'adario and other brands, but I've found that Elixers have the brightest sound overall. Every now and then, if the strings start to feel dirty or a little sticky, or if I notice that the quality's starting to detiorate I just apply some Fast Fret and I get the old, clean and bright sound as I did before.

I tend to just go into Sam Ash, and buy whatever strings they're having a special on. (I like buying the big boxes where it's like sixty of each guage) That way I don't have to make the trip back every friggen month, just because I have to restring my three electrics, my acoustic, and my classical. They all get whatever strings I have handy, including the classical most of the time. I've been known to break my nylon strings, and throw on a metal string. Gives it a unique tone, and it gets the job done.

Dudes that work at guitar stores are especially douche bags, since they are trying to sell you on a more expensive product. They are also around gear all day and have a very definite idea of what works for them. Unfortunately they assume that that's what will work for everybody, but everyone has their own style, technique and preferences. One set-up will be totally unplayable to one person while another will completely swear by it. Anyways, just walk up and tell them what you want and don't stand for any of that used car salesman bullshit.

I always use Diadarrio Jazz strings, Without the winded 3rd string. But i have to use Super heavy strings because i bend so ******** much, anything else breaks on me toooo quick. Other people try to play my guitar but they barely can, because i used to downtune and it was easier, but For a while ive only been playing in standard so it makes it hard for some people because the strings are so thick. Also, i think im allergic to something in acoustic strings because everytime i play one my middle finger breaks out in this rash so i have to figure out whats in them that im allergic to it sucks :/ but s**t i can live with my electric anyways. I might just have to get an acoustic simulator or something. Ive never tried elixers before, but ive only heard good things about them (aside from the price) Sooo Im thinkin about giving them a try, do They come in alot bigger guages at all?

Praise to Him With Strings...

There is no single type of string that are best. Different strings are good for different things. Ernie Ball and Elixir are solid brands any thing that is noticeably cheaper is most likely not a good idea. Gauge is all up to you though and what your guitar is set up for.

...oh, by the way I'm Awesome!
