The anthro-human is found sitting at the table, already eating an omelette made of eggs, ham, olive, and cheese. Her tail flips around ever so slightly but steadily. She does not even hear the man come into the room.

"Wow. That was fast." Koji said upon seeing the fox-girl eating. "You must have a lot of practice at cooking."

Her ears twitch before she looks at him over her omelette.
"Partially prepared," she manages between bites, "All I have to do is cook the thing, not cut it up."
Another ear twitch and a tail wave happens as she eats slowly.
She pauses, motioning to a chair, then says with a smile, "But it's a fast cooking method that I use. It doesn't take out the flavor, either!"

"That's a good idea." Koji made a mental note for himself. "Make most of it when you have time so you can finish when you're in a rush. Have you been cooking and cleaning this inn for long?"

"Take a seat," she says happily before she shakes her head, "I've been living here for nine years but have been working for my aunt the last two years. She also home-schools me as much as she can since the 'normal' human world would never accept me...Ever."

Nonchalantly pulling up a chair and flopping into it, Koji's eyes drifted to the girl's ears again. "I imagine it would be hard for people to get used to you. It's sad how afraid of change we are as a society." Koji sighed and shook his head. "You're no worse than people who pierce their entire body and get covered in tattoos."

"But this is not chosen by me - it was handed to me before I was born..."
She sighs before continuing to eat. Realizing that she forgot her drink, she gracefully gets to her feet and walks over to the fridge. Her walk is not as harsh as a human's might be because she seems to 'slid' across the floor - her steps do not jar her but rather just move her through space without much opposition from the space around her.
She pulls out a gallon of milk and, after closing the fridge door, retrieves a cup from a nearby cabinet.
Pausing before the waterfall of milk starts, she turns to the man sitting at the table, "Do you want a cup of milk?"

Shin had been thinking about the fox-girl's last comment. "Huh? Oh, yeah. I love milk." He said, still reflecting on the moral implications of her statement. 'Had it handed to her at birth...a gift that acts to alienate her. How sad.'

She nods, turning back to the pouring of the milk, her tail flowing back and forth behind her. She puts away the gallon after the task is done and turns to the table. She steps up to Shin, setting his cup by him, before turning back to her own chair across from him.
Triska sets the cup down then sits down so that she can eat her omelette (which has three-fourths left of it).

"So...." started Koji. "How did you get...like this?" He wasn't entirely sure how to pose the question, and it came out incredibly awkwardly.

"...Mom says that it was the works of the gods, having never made whoopee with anyone other than Dad. Dad says it was either my Mom loving a fox or exposing herself to harmful chemicals, seeing that she had been in Makiirah during the second month of carrying me."
She takes another bite and chews on it cautiously.
"My older brother, who is full human, says that someone attacked Mom when she was carrying me and injected stuff into her blood system that changed me. My older sister says that it's a curse. ...my aunt says that it is just the next step of evolution, though my parents, my siblings, and all of my ancestors are full humans."
[Feel free to ask about Makiirah.]

Koji mulled the multitude of theories around his head while sipping his milk. "What or where is Makiirah? Some sort of laboratory?" Koji guessed with the 'lab' bit.

She sets her fork down and, after taking a sip from her milk, says, "Makiirah is a planet known to be home to primarily anthro beings. Many say that the atmosphere makes the humans conceive anthros if they conceive while there or that the environment affects the child if the mother is already pregnant. In other words, Mom's little trip to see an old friend, female mind you, was the cause of what he calls a 'deformity' in my life - making me the Snow Fox Anthro Human you see before you."
She picks at her napkin and continues, "My DNA has come back completely compatible with my father's DNA, though, so I am his child by all rights. Yet this different appearance, this this he calls a 'disease' or 'deformity' or 'disability', has estranged me from my own father."
Picking up her fork again, she returns to eating the omelette.

"A...planet?" Koji said, trying to absorb the new information. "That's quite different." He admitted, used to a relatively simple life. "I know what it's like to be detached from a parent, though. It must have been rough for you."

She says nothing as she eats her omelette. No other sound in heard from the any other part of the Inn as everyone is asleep or enjoying the ability to relax under this blanket of snow.
