yay, gotta get those fruits and veggies in.
ya, so talked to the boys again tonight, im going over to watch star wars at their place on saturday and one was like "you are GOING to have a beer, and i promise i wont harass you about any other food if you drink ONE beer" so i told him as long as he kept sweets and other crappy food out of the way i would drink 1 beer. its only 110 calories so its not the end of the world.
my absolutely wonderful yay: i did an hour of cardio today. i was very careful not to overdo it so that i feel crappier.

I wish I had the time and money for a gym membership, or I wish that it were safer to go out running in the evenings. ._.;
Today I drank twice as much water as I usually do. ^^ And I did a lot of running around school (with two heavy bags and a flute). sweatdrop
This isn't a yay, but it isn't a grr- I sacrificed dessert (a mini strawberry tart) for an extra snickerdoodle. xd Gotta love snickerdoodles!

I'm so proud of you girls so far! whee
My "yay" day:
- I exercised today. Specifically, I did weight lifting. (I also exercised every day since monday, and plan to do so for at least 4 days a week).
- I chose a sub sandwich that was low in fat (no cheese, no fatty sauces, or fatty meat, etc). I love leaner meats anyway.
- I relaxed some today, and also spent a lot less time on the computer. Relaxing is very important in your life.
(not a yay, but it's also not a grrr: I have been keeping my food log since I began it on january 9. I have successfully recorded every food item I've consumed, but sometimes I'm still prone to some eating that needs to be measured, yet I haven't done it all. I've measured the amount of my cream cheese and peanut butter spreads, for example, but I haven't "counted" every single gummy bear candy I've consumed, or sized up my liquid non-water-drinks precisely.) But now that I know my strengths and weaknesses in that regard, I can work towards correcting them, and working towards goals.

this was a yay for yesterday, i just wasn't online a whole lot.. well. i was. but i was fishing. tehe.
i did an hour of cardio. and then did a tiny bit of weightlifting, was sposed to do some freeweights last night with a friend but she never came back until really late.
i'm proud of you grip~ its so hard for me to resist having cheese and mayo on my subway sandwiches. so good for you!!
FK~ i don't actually have a "gym membership" per se. Our university has a gym and it is included in your tuition. my suggestion for at home exercise, i love exercise videos. there are soo many good options out there. and if you aren't into high impact i suggest pilates.

I think I'll stick to my personal program. ^^;
Had a pretty good day- drank plenty of water, small meals and no lunch (dinner was congee- a Chinese rice porridge made with a little rice, lots of water, flavoured with veggies and with the meat of choice if liked. I chose fish).
And I've lost a pound. whee Okay, I was hoping to lose two... sweatdrop but eh, it's something, I supposed. heart

The past two weeks have been an excersize in willpower for me...I have managed to completely avoid any fast-food or junkfood. I have also taken an hour-long walk at least once a day for the past week-and-a-half.

Sense: Way to lay of the junk! xd Junk food = baaaaad. >_<;
Aeren: I guess the fact that your trainer is pushing you is good. Even if you feel like you're gonna die, sometimes. whee sweatdrop
My yay for today: though someone gave my family a late Xmas prezzie (a large box of CHOCOLATES), I have not touched them yet. whee As long as the box stays closed, I'm okay. ^^;

congrats Sensedog! completely avoiding fastfood is cool. Last year when I kept a food log, I've come to conclude that if you eat one meal at a fast food joint, it prettymuch screws over your diet for the rest of the day. It's not impossible to incorperate fast food, but it makes it difficult.
Aeren, pat yourself on the back! Next time you think your sessions with your personal trainer is going to be a killer- just turn that thought into something positive- "ohhh yea, i'm going to be CHALLENGED!!" or "woooo, i'm taking charge of my health, one day at a time!!" I know, it's kinda corny reading this, but it's all good heart
Good job Fuzzy, laying off the chocolate! One idea you may like- you may want to share your chocolates with your friends/family. They'd love ya for that xd

oops, I'll just make another post for a "yay".
I didn't have any serious "yays" lately, except that I've taken saturdays to weigh in and measure myself. I'll do that every week. smile

my yay for today, i had another training session with my friend. she printed off this little chart to track my progress. she has set up 2 different arm routines and 2 different leg routines. the chart follows how many sets reps and weight i have for each exercise. i love it. anyway, we are doing 1 day arms, 1 day legs, 1 day break. i really am stoked about this. my arms hurt like hell, but no pain no gain.

For the past week-and-a-half, I have managed to take a walk lasting at least 1 hour each day. I feel better than before. The elements have not stopped me from excersizing, despite single-digit temperatures.
