Duncan gave a nod of his head as he gathered the energy to his hands again and started to throw off the spell over and over again, determined to burn through the 'anger' energy. The more of it he used in casting this spell the less of it there was that would remain and pollute his other emotions.
He glanced over at his teacher, somewhat in awe of how laid back he was... he would have figured the man would fear him now that he was whole again. Then again he did say that he knew someone with the same sort of anger issues so he supposed it made sense why he wasn't bothered by it. It was a nice feeling, not to be feared by the teacher and to be able to be taught as though he were just a normal kid.
"That would be nice. Any advice would be appreciated." He told his teacher when he paused in his spell casting to catch his breath.

K i n d n e s s A b o u n d s As soon as Duncan nodded and spoke of allowing to get advice, a dragon appeared. His scaled so dark it seemed like a piece of the shadows it came from. It walked toward Duncan, snarling gently. It walked slowly, however when it reached the river, it evaporated to his touch so his footfalls were perfectly dry even as he walked over the river. As he got out of the river, he approached Maziel for a reassuring pat on the nose. It then turned and snarled darkly at Duncan.
Maziel smiled. "Well, meet the person we were talking about. Do you have any questions? I'll be happy to translate any of his answers."

Duncan looked over at the dragon with slightly wide eyes before looking over at Maziel, "I just... want to know how. How to keep it from making my mind going red." He murmured, lifting a hand to push his hand out of his eyes and tucked it behind his ears.
He hated that feeling, when his vision was washed in red and he couldn't remember what he did during those times.

K i n d n e s s A b o u n d s The dragon let out a snort and flicked his tail once dismissively. Maziel was quick to translate. "By Din's flames, you're a dumb one. To stop it from going red, stop being so in control. Being angry all the time is easier than having extreme anger every month and killing a few people. The more you try to suppress, the more it'll kick your a** later." He replied, not missing any word from just a look, a gesture and a tail's movement. The male smiled and pat the Dragon on the nose again.
"do you have any more questions?"

Duncan's form stiffened and he shook his head, "No. No other questions." He told the two of them his eyes narrowing slightly as he looked between the two losing his desire to ask any other questions of the dragon.
"I am ready to continue with class if there is more you have to teach me. If not I need to get back."

K i n d n e s s A b o u n d s The dragon made another dismissing tail flick before getting up and walking back to the shadows whence he came. Maziel smiled at Duncan. "Don't mind my friend. He's always grumpy. It was just how he is naturally. I'd say to take his advice to heart. It sounds like a good idea, though that'll mean those around may have to deal with some irritation, but I'm sure teaching them some patience is not wrong."
He smiled when the other asked. "Well, there is one more thing you need to do. Because of your rage and your power, we need a talk about how to make it so that you need something to balance the power. Maybe a healing spell, nothing major, but it wil help if someting goes wrong."

Duncan starred at the teacher as though he had grown a second head... then tilted his head to the side, "Healing...? Me?" He asked, it would appear as though the idea of him being able to do anything but hurt people was a foreign idea of Duncan, something he had never even thought of before. He lifted a hand to fiddle with one of his shackles, "Could I?"

K i n d n e s s A b o u n d s Maziel smiled. "Of course. If I can hurt people, you can heal." He shrugged. "Even my friend has learned minor healing, however he's far better at wound swapping than actual healing. Then he needs me." He chuckled. "Well, instead of focusing anger, this focuses on peaceful emotions. For example..." He made a swish with one hand, and a clean cut was on Duncan's arm. With another wave, the wound healed.
This time, he made a small cut on his own finger. "Here, try it. It's very soothing."

Duncan looked down at the point on his arm where the cut had appeared and then disappeared in almost the blink of an eye... then turned to look as a cut appeared on Maziel's finger, "How do I?" He asked, reaching a clawed hand out to take hold of Maziel's hand. He wanted to be careful, he didn't want to hurt anyone... didn't want to risk making this small wound any worse so he had to question how he was supposed to help out.

K i n d n e s s A b o u n d s Maziel shrugged. "Think nice thoughts, gently close the injury as one would put cloth on a babe to wrap it up in blankets. " Maziel replied. He was not used to pain at all, and dearly hoped Duncan would heal it soon. He really disliked getting hurt. Usually his brother protected him from pain, so having this made him whimper just a little.

Duncan lifted his gaze to look up at his teacher with three eyes before he lowered his attention back to the wound, "Alright, let me try..." He murmured, concentrating on the wound, trying his best to call up happy thoughts... they were something rare for him but after a lot of trying he was able to gather the energy... drop by drop... all of it gathering to the hand that held onto Maziel.

K i n d n e s s A b o u n d s The male smiled gently as his injuries were healed. "Wow, that was a good job for your first try." He smiled and rubbed his before injured finger. It still was red, but no longer flowing blood. Instead was a scab. He grinned, pain gone. "I owe you! Well now, would you like to continue your training? How about... Aim for that try over there." He pointed to a small tree.

Duncan starred at his finger, eyes going wide with surprise, "W-Wow... I did it... I didn't think I would be able to and..." He sounded shocked, surprised, and somewhat pleased... he could actually do something good! He was rather hesitant to let go of Maziel, as though afraid the proof that he wasn't just a monster would go vanish.
"Huh...? Oh, yeah. Sure." He murmured, ready to try the other spell again.

K i n d n e s s A b o u n d s "Well you're powerful, I have no complaints there. Try to focus it on, say, a single leaf of a tree. Burn it to a crisp, so to speak." He smile and once again motioned to the small tree he had got just for his occasion. He asked Duncan to try and burn just one leaf. It was difficult yes, but it also tended to take more anger.

He nodded, turning to look toward the tree and watched it... starred, picked out a single leaf before he lifted his hand up to point at that leaf. He gathered his power into his hand and tried to aim it at that one leaf that he was watching pointedly.
"Come on..." He murmured, before releasing the power.
