True. Too true. And I was really glad of that interruption, for I avoided the topic of first week fancies with Lily for another month. There was no way I was going to admit to her about Sirius, not that soon. And I assume it was just before you came out of the classroom that I nearly tripped, caught myself, and walked a little longer before Fate got me and gave me a great friend.

Of course I remember the day I met Matelia! Lily and I helped her out of that trick stair and we all headed to the Great Hall for lunch. Guess what we saw when we arrived? James was holding a wizarding wireless that was playing romantic songs, and Sirius was on top of the Gryffindor table dancing sensually and propositioning McGonagall! rofl
Matelia was trying not to be too obvious about staring at how attractive Sirius looked (Most of the female population was, actually.), Lily was trying to be angry instead of admitting it was hilarious, McGonagall was ALSO trying to be angry instead of admitting it was hilarious, and I...I wasn't trying to do anything. I gave into my urges and fell to the floor in a heap of laughter. blaugh
After I got control over myself the three of us sat down to eat. Lily demanded of James, "Did you put Black up to this idiocy?"
He swept back his hair and I couldn't help but wonder where Suze was since she would have appreciated it more than Lily did. "It's brilliance, not idiocy, my dear Evans. And actually it was Remus' idea."
All three of us stared at Remus. Well, I stared at Remus regularly, but that's not the point!
"I dared him to flirt with Professor McGonagall, it's true, but Sirius is the one who decided to be so colourful about it." Remus looked as if he was torn between regretting it and falling into a heap of hilarity like I did earlier. He's so dreamy...*cough*
Anyway, it inspired Matelia and I to exchange other amusing stories of incidents we'd seen involving dancing. She's really witty; I hope all of you get to meet her, too!

Yes, the dancing incident with McGonagall. I couldn't believe that it was Remus who had put Sirius up to that. Of course, I had no problem believing that Sirius would be that flamboyant about it.
But remind me never to bring up a conversation about dancing when the Marauders were in earshot.
After I had gotten control of my tongue, I turned to Min. "Well, that was one sight I don't regret seeing," I whispered. "There were other people that I've seen dancing that were much worse."
"Really?" asked Min, sitting down in a place that was quite convenient to looking at the certain boy she fancies, and for hearing any one of he and his mates. "Who?"
I cleared my throat uncomfortably. "Well, McGonagall, for one."
Lily who had been listening in, burst out, "McGonagall? Whenever did you see her dance?"
This comment of course drew the attention of the Marauders and I felt my cheeks flame as I knew six pairs of eyes were now on me, not the least of which were a pair of gray eyes. I shuddered as the memory came back. "Lily, do you remember the detention I got from Slughorn for turning in that essay on Shrinking Solutions late?"
Lily nodded, still looking mystified. I heard the sweet tones of Sirius's voice, and I glanced up the table at him to see his eyebrows raised. "Slughorn and McGonagall?"
I bit my lip and shook my head. "Slughorn wasn't actually there yet."
"McGonagall was by herself?" guessed Remus.
I shook my head again, unable to prevent the corners of my mouth from turning upwards. I coughed uncomfortably. "It was actually her partner that couldn't really dance. Well, I don't really want to damage you with the mental images, but I suppose I can give you a couple hints to McGonagall's partner. He has a cat," I began, only to be interrupted by Peter.
"Dumbledore has a cat?" he asked. He received many odd looks and muttered a comment about always suspecting that Dumbledore and McGonagall had a relationship before I went on.
"Not that I'm aware of, and anyway, Dumbledore doesn't frequent the dungeons as often as he does."
"I have no clue," proclaimed James, taking a gulp of Pumpkin Juice.
"He knows lots of secret passageways, and loves talking about using his torture devices on troublemakers like yourselves," I rattled off, anxious to leave the topic now.
James sprayed the Pumpkin Juice all over Peter. He ended up having a coughing fit and I even saw Lily look concerned as Sirius pounded James's back.
"You've got to be joking!" demanded James when he finally could talk again. "Not--Certainly not--Honestly, it wouldn't be--" he couldn't even express the name.
I nodded. "Filch." As everyone's faces around me turned to disgust, I burst out laughing. "Priceless," I gasped, hitting the table with my hand. "I actually pulled one over on the Marauders, I can't believe it."
Min continued the conversation having actually witnessed a couple of Prefects in the library who had started to dance.
I did pay for that verbal prank, believe me. But the day I met Min will always be a treasured day in my memory.

I'm pretty sure the day I met Matelia was in potions, I was doing another one of my many experiments, while Professor Slughorn had his back turned, and well, it went awry. Needless to say, we both ended up in the hospital wing, and when you have no one,and I mean no one, except Madame Promfrey to talk to, another person is a welcome relief. I can't really say we are friends now, I don't see much of her, she's probably still mad at me for my experiment.

Oh I remember when I met you. I was walking from Charms to the Great Hall and you were walking out of the Great Hall. I kind of slipped and ran in to you like a bowling pin. After exchanging sorries and introducing myself (as a 2nd year), well we had officially met!

That's funny, I could have sworn that I bowled you over as I walked out of the Great Hall, because I...yet again...had my nose buried deep in my potions book, and was attempting to slip some pumpkin pasties ito my bag when I accidentally dropped one, and that was how you slipped into me, where I procceeded to knock you over, and I was apologizing over and over for my stupid mistake of not paying attention. I must have been mistaken.

Ah yes. My seventh time in the hospital wing within a week. That was a really bad week for me, too. But I'm not mad at you. I was actually mad at myself for getting in the way. I was leaning over to see if my potion was turning out the same as everyone else's. For some reason, it had turned a light green when the book was saying it was supposed to look orange. I remember seeing the red of your potion before the explosion and waking up in the Hospital Wing. Again.
I hope I wasn't too snippy with you, I was dreading being teased by Lily, Suze, Min, and the rest of my friends for ending up in the hospital wing again. We should chat again sometime when I'm not stressed out about my teasing friends.

I remember you!!!! I was up in the hospital wing that day and you were in the bed next to me. I had been attempting to turn Malfoy back into the ferret that Moody so brilliantly turned him into and my spell backfired and exploded. I still have slightly furry ears from it.

I remember the day I met Kitty_Chan very clearly. I was hiding from Bellatrix because I had spilled my potion in potions class all over her hand and covered it in boils! So I had hidden under one of the bleachers in the Quidditch stadium when I ran into Kitty. She was also hiding but for a different reason. The Gryffindor Quidditch practice was in session and Kitty was watching a certain dark haired chaser fly around the pitch...

I remember meeting you, I was sneaking down to the kitchens to get a snack, when I heard you yelling at the bowl of fruit to let you in. When I figured out you didn't know it had t be tickled, I helped you out, and we both got our midnight snack, right before Professor Dumbledor showed up. I think he was looking for chocolate frogs again, I don't remember. I took off pretty quick, not wanting to be caught in the kitchens again.
I'm really sorry I left you behind, but, that's one of the reasons I got put in Slytherin, I get to thinking about myself, and no one else matters.

Ah, yes! Severus, I met you because I was doing so terribly in potions, what with Sirius nicking all my things in a sorry attempt to flirt, that Slughorn thought I needed to be turtored, but he was so incredibly busy with his stupid Slug club he couldn't be bothered to do it himself. You were actually quite nice to me, if I recall, and I remember that later that night I walked past James Potter and slapped him upside the head because of some mean comment he said about you! We haven't spoken since then, what with yout being a Slytherin and all, but I don't think you really all that bad!
