"Only Nosferatae may know the knowledge... only the fearsome shaman may hold the wisdom of the mystical..."
Shai offered it tentatively, her eyes wide enough to show a ring of white around the red, her ears pressed hard back to her head. She offered it as a sort of apology for not sharing it.
"Ceremony of the Blood Sun has long been undone..." She whispered hoarsely, her tail flicking. "But only a Nosferatae.... or Vervaratae, may perform it. Its not for the likes of us lowly ones..." What she truly wanted to know was Bidu's right to know these things, things she may or may not have mentioned to the king and queen, in brief detail. There were fey creatures of the light and the burning sun that would come for her if she shared what she knew with someone uninitiated... she believed this to the very core of her being. They would rend her soul from her body and leave her a broken thing, a living dead... though some would say she was already that.
"Shai was not to know such things." She finally whispered, her voice taking on a manic edge. "But Shai hears things, she does... she listens and things come to her and she sees things she was not meant to see. And yet she can not forget those things, they fester and rot in her head!"

This was becoming infuriating. More cryptic clues, and what was worse - Shai's speech made Bidu lust for this hidden knowledge even more. She wondered if Shai had her 'lucid' moments or could be somehow bribed into imparting what she wanted to know.
Unfortunately, she began to think her time too precious to pursue Shai in this current state.
"Don't let them rot too quickly...I'll be back to see if I can't help you clear your head a bit," she replied finally, annoyed and impatient. These were weaknesses she'd have to work on in the future if she was to deal with Shai again.
"Farewell Shaitani," she said as she departed, careful to leave in such a way that she didn't completely expose her back to the disturbed lioness.
She'd definitely be back.
