Previous Workshop set-up was here. 83 ---------------- Because if I didn't put it up here no one would read it... CLOSED 'TIL I CATCH UP.Don't ask when I'll be open again. Life's hectic and there's no pause menu or save-states. Maru's office looks as though someone knocked a hole in the wall and stuck a hobbit-sized door on it. The fact that you needed to get a small step-ladder in order to enter it doesn't help the fact that it might be a hole in the wall.
The other side is, thankfully, a normal room. Books are piled in stacks so tall that it makes the Jenga championship tournament look like child's play. Thankfully, there are chairs and tabled buried beneath stacks of books for use.
On the other side of the room, situated in front of a window there is a gray Audio, reading a book. His boots are propped up on the desk, and from time to time he flips his long, silvery hair back. Seeing you still here, the Audio growls and closes his book, standing up and regarding you with sharp teal eyes. "I'm only going to say this once, so you better listen," he growls, "I am Zephiroth, and since Demy promoted Marushii from guest colorist to full-time, she's taken over my lair. Don't touch my books, don't fangirl, and don't even think about stalking here."
"Bribes are always open. Maru has the attention span of a fly and has a habit of being attracted to shiny things. She prefers items over gold, and sometimes has "deals" on the items she's looking for. These deals are offered only once, so if you miss it -- tough. Complaining about it will just make Maru less inclined to do those. That would be a pity: an item worth only 30k in the Marketplace might be worth 45k to Maru, and since someone threw a fit over it... it'd remain 30k."
"Also, Maru doesn't do angelic or demonic bribes. She can do cosplays, original characters, and other things... But if you're looking for those? Try another colorist 'til we can track those down. Don't ask when -- they're tricky things to find, and will probably cost an arm and a leg, as well as a firstborn. Added to that, if you want one... Go out and earn one. That's the best method to get one as of yet, unless you're lucky to see one wander in without an owner. And if you have the right anti-demon or anti-celestial equipment with you."
"Conversions are when an old Audio is placed on the new lineart. Maru can do both edited and non-edited. Non-edited are 50k. The price of edits vary depending on complexity. I mean, if it's something simple like a bracelet there might be an extra 1k charge, but if it's an earring? Maybe 500g or nothing at all. It all depends on what the Audio in question looks like, and the resulting price quote."
"Pet trades? I'm pretty sure Maru likes those, but she's booked as far as RP-pets go... unless that requirement is waved. Otherwise she has a zebra-fetish and will be pretty unhappy if the result of 'zebra stripes' are triangles. Don't do it. Feel free to PM her or the Audio mule with offers, and be sure to title it with something like 'Pet Trade - Marushii' so the staff knows it's for her. Can't do zebra because the stripes are too much of a killer or they're reserved for a 'natural' event? Psh, Maru also has a liking to blue and cool colors, though don't be surprised if she orders something in browns and oranges."

Pet Trades: Nothing I'm really looking for, though I -love- Zebra stripes. Triangles and paintbrush patterns do NOT mean zebra stripes! I will be seriously disappointed if this happens. x_X RP-required pets may be offered if the RP-required part can be waved.

The cosplay Audio reaches into the drawers of the desk he was sitting at, and pulls out a couple papers and spreads them out on the desk. "These are the items Marushii is currently looking to get her hands on. Sometimes you can get them for a good deal at the Marketplace or the Exchange -- it's best to check there first."
He holds up a piece of paper and points to it. "If you wish, think of these as sort of "quests" that can be completed. As soon as one person turns the item in question in, however, the deal goes away." Zephiroth tilts his head to one side and considers. "Let's say Marushii is looking for a pair of doll ears, also known as a replica of Chi's ears from CLAMP's Chobits. Now, normally you can get this item in shops for 5,000g. Someone in the Marketplace might be selling it for 4,500g. But, since Marushii is looking for it... She might give it a value at 7k. If you snag the one from the Marketplace, you've just landed yourself a 2.5k deal."
"Of course, Marushii already has doll ears so if you try this, I'm going to laugh. A lot."
The audio gathers up the papers and stacks them neatly, then returns them to the drawer. "Hm? What items is she looking for currently? There are no deals yet. Check back later."TL;DR Version Sometimes there'll be an item Marushii reallyreally wants but is too lazy to get it herself. To encourage the use of items, Marushii will offer a higher value on the item.Example Let's say Marushii is looking for doll ears. In the shop, they can be bought for 5k. Since she's looking for them, she may value them at 7k -- that means doll ears are worth 2k higher than they really are! If you manage to buy a pair from the Marketplace for 4.5k, that means you saved 2.5k!
This is an example. Don't expect doll ears to be worth 7k, since Maru already has a pair.

There have been, ah, two Audio lurking about that need owners. More importantly-" the audio breaks off with a snarl as a piece of candy hits him in the back of the head, "More importantly they need to get the hell out of here! You! You're interested in one, right? Here." The audio snatches two pumpkin buckets off the desk. "We have two, but there's a catch -- they're a bit of a handful, so they're best off going off to two different owners. Interested?"
Zephiroth replaces the buckets on the desk, sending a glare towards the darker corners of the room. "If only I had a flashlight. Rrrg, all right. Here's how this is going to work. You can enter only yourself and a friend into the raffle. Or you can just enter yourself, or just a friend -- I don't care. Either way, when Maru remembers she'll draw the names.
