Duncan got up onto the side that was for him, "I think I understand." He said as he shifted on the dancing board and gave his companion a hesitant sort of smile. He was pretty certain that he wouldn't be able to win at it but he didn't really mind all that much though. Even getting to play, getting his mind off the future was all the prize that he needed.
Each peck gave the same result from the wing, the same chiming and somewhat musical sound to it.

Slythor grinned as the techno music started to play and the game really begun. He concentrated on the game almost entirely, determined to score much, much higher than his opponent. He laughed and continued to do play. It felt good to play. He did not know the plight of his friend, but it was all ok.

Duncan set to trying to follow the pattern, a small smile appearing on his lips when he hit the correct button at the right time in the pattern to get it to tell it 'ok' or 'good' and on a couple of rare occasions got a 'perfect' as well. Some of the moves confused him, nearly had him tripping and he didn't want to move to fast in his attempts at dancing as he didn't want to scare the bird of hurt it.
Overall though he didn't think that he was doing to horribly... until he looked over at Slythor's score and found it to be far superior to his own.

The bird went and nested on the machine, watching curiously.
Slythor openly laughed as he continued to play. Once the match was over, he jumped and grinned, winning. "Well that was easy! What others are you up to? You really need to get better to have a chance against me." He smiled and pointed to himself in a cocky manner. It felt good to show off.

Duncan gave a little shrug, "Don't know... never played the games before really. Just came to try them, to try to distract myself." He explained, he knew that there were games that could be physical and fun but he hadn't really been able to get into them since he hadn't had the attention span for such things.

Slythor grinned and ran to a game sporting the old fashioned street fighters. "Well, let's play! This is harder. But it'll just be you against me, and I'm not good at this game either." He smiled and pointed to a few buttons, telling him what each one did. Then he sat down. "Wanna play? Or do you wanna play something else instead?"

Duncan looked at the game, listening to instructions before nodding, "We can try this one." He said, digging out some coins to feed to the machine before he set to looking through the characters and gave a little whistle when he came across Cammy, "Woah..."
She wasn't wearing much was she? A bathing suit, body pain, boots, and a hat... did girls ever really dress like that? None he knew did... a bit of a shame, "I think I will play her."

Slythor chose his own character, then pushed in his coins and the two were off. He pushed furiously, his character doing random things. It was obvious by how his character fought he had not a clue what he was doing besides the basic basics.

Duncan tapped all the buttons, getting a feel for the character that he picked before he threw her into battle against the one that Slythor had picked. He really didn't know his character very well, didn't know the game either but he didn't mind learning by doing. She was quick if nothing else, had some odd moves that happened when you hit buttons in a certain sequence, and was interesting enough to look at.
The game was doing exactly what he had hoped it would do, it was distracted him greatly away from serious thought until all that was on his mind was his character.

Slythor was also quick to learn, and by round three he was mashing buttons like never before, however he lost the round. He giggled as the game let the two played again. This time he chose Duncan's character, jjust to watch the irony of someone fighting and beating up herself than anyone else. If anything it was funny.

Duncan couldn't help but stare, watching as the two characters... merely different colored versions of one woman were standing there to face off... and he found himself fumbling on the buttons. He could relate to that, having another version of yourself to fight with...
He wasn't at all surprised with he lost as he was starring far more then he was hitting buttons... when it was over he took a step back, lifting a hand up to rub it over his eyes as though they were bothering him, "Umm... so what's next?" He asked of Slythor, his interest in this game having waned in the last fight.

Slythor shrugged. "Well what do you wanna play?" He asked contently. "There's a whole room of games, you can choose." He grinned contently. Duncan seemed off in the last fight, but he was not going to question it. Let the sleeping dogs lie, or something.

Duncan gave a shrug, "Anything is good by me, so long as its distracting." He told his companion. He didn't care what they played, all the games seemed rather interesting enough but he didn't see any outright that he had to try. He'd tried so far a shooting game, a dancing game, and a fighting game...
"Wait, what's that one?" He asked, pointing to the air hockey table.

Slythor grinned. "Air hockey! Sweet!" He grabbed Duncan's wing and dragged the two over. He took a paddle. "You hit the puck back and forth with this, your goal is to get it in the enemy's hole." He pointed to the puck and the holes. He took a side. "LEt's play! It's really easy, it shouldn;t be a problem for you."

Duncan allowed himself to be led along by his wings while his free wing fluttered behind him. He looked over at the game board, looking at the air hockey table, "Alright. I think I can do that." He said with a smile as he reached over to pick up his paddle.
