Raven sighed lightly, drawing the blade along within the air. The moisture that continuously flowed within the air of the palace formed more conglomerates of droplets; It was then that Raven concentrated on speeding up the molecular construction of the dyhydrogen monoxide droplets, whisps of steam forming as it transformed into it's vaporous state. As the blades of ice passed through the curtain of vapor, the heat of the vapor grazed the surface of the ice, weakening it's sturdy form.
The droplets of water slithered under her feet upon her call, and Raven pushed to the far left, her form skating on the floor to avoid the spikes of ice. Curving her path, she spun around, glancing upwards.
"Are you going to hide up there all day, or are you afraid of a few spikes of ice?"

"I am not afraid of any spikes of anything." Gabriela growled. Exasperation fueled her now, and irritation directed towards the apprentice almost drove her past the brink of sanity. She directed all of the spikes, even the ones embedded into the ground, towards Raven. Each gained a mind of its own and she let go of all control over them while she prepared another attack.
After the relentless onslaught of spikes, Gabriela expected there to be some damage done, but still came down with her sword in hand, And her shield was flying at Raven yet again. This time hesitation didnt slow the jagged edges of the flying shield down, and Gabriela aimed to shut her little face up. The throbbing headache the incessant jabbering had created was really pissing her off.
She aimed a few blows with her blade and did a side-ways flip to avoid the spikes of her own shield when it flew at Raven.

"You should fear your own temper. It's rearing it's ugly head." With a grunt, Raven pulled the palms of her hands together. Already she could feel the shifting of the ice lattice beneath her control. Pulling the ice spikes to errupt from the ground towards her, she then cupped the palms of her hands and raised them up.
Almost immediately the ice began to converge, shifting it's form as it rose from the ground, expanding as it formed a sphere-like shield around her. The vibration as spikes collided against the shield caused Raven to drop to her knees, the ground slippery at her feet.
Having kept her palms closed, she then forced them outwards, the shield cracking with the assistance of Gabriela's spikes, fragments of ice exploding into the air in a full 360 degreee circle. The sheer force as it flew outwards clanked hard against the incoming shield--her primary concern but secondary target.
Stepping backwards, she growled with each slice Gabriela's sword landed, feeling the white-hot pain as her skin were lacerated. Raven exhaled, forcing her composure to regain as she shifted her weight to her left side. Pausing to make sure she could speak, her gaze fell to the newly brandished wounds. Her gaze trailed from each wound, and then to Gabriela, shaking her head slowly.
"You're losing your temper, and your focus. I concede to this test, I've overstepped my boundaries."

Gabriela's eyes narrowed into tiny slits and intently glared at Raven. How dare ... Why ... How...
Rage was indeed surging through her mind and the adrenaline pumped even faster through her body than previously during this fight. "Sure. My emotions do flare at times, but that's the beauty of it in my point of view. The ocean, our guiding element, is never tranquil. It is always in motion, whether it be in wrath or peace." The water apprentice made her way towards Raven. During her angered stride, the odd stalagmites and puddles of water all went back to the fountain. The stalagmites, or what were once the spikes, all melted and went back into the natural rush of water around the castle.
"I proudly don my emotions and i have found them an aid in battle. Dont think they are completely useless... I find that as an ugly head of its own." Angry tears came from her eyes and she stopped so close to Raven that their faces were a breath away from each other. "You also didnt have to break my shield." Gabriela spat with anger and then stalked off to collect the shattered pieces of her shield with water. Her trusted shield... The comrade that had survived many trials with her now was reduced to mere shreds because of... Gabriela shook her head and derailed that train of thought before she threw one of the razor sharp edges at Raven's jugular.
The thought of the apprentice spouting the crimson water much like the fountain made Gabriela unusually giddy.
[I am honestly about as angered as Gabriela for reasons already named. Not only is ... I dont even want to start this, i apologize... But i really do think your character is at a far more advanced level than what a true beginner might be at. I highly doubt someone at your supposed skill level could dispose of a 40- or 50- pound PURE reinforced gold shield. Just saying.]

(( Aye. I figured you'd have something to say about that. But I warned that I came with knowledge and skill. I've been a water user for a few years. I came to further what I know. It is not my intention to upset you, and I do apologize for having done so already, but I was cracking my shield of ice, not your Golden one. By cracking my shield I created projectiles with enough force to throw yours off course from hitting me. @.@ I'd scream bloody murder if you snapped my Naginata in half. If it reassures you, I did not break your shield. ))

((Yesh, I was destroying mine, not yours. O_o And I have a little experience with most Primary and Secondary Elements. Water is my given favorite. This character has a long history that has a lot to do with elements and astrology. And I'm le sorry you were upset over the misunderstanding!))

[Ok. Forget that last post. I find it almost idiotic right now. ]
Gabriela stopped, and glanced at raven. "What the-... But we just got started!!! Dont cut it off... that's almost boring." She half-heartedly whined. Her shield and sword came back towards her and she jumped back. "There's no need to end it before the fat lady, or in this case Euan, sings is there?"

((Poor Gabi thought I didn't care. But I do! =D)) Clapping, such an unfamiliar sound in the universe of combat. Yet, sure enough, Euan was standing off to the side, applauding the spectacle. Despite enjoying the position of the sole audience member, Euan stepped forward to join the feminine pair. "Uh...I don't sing. Nice job though Gabi. I'm surprised you did so well against this wondrous beauty."
Completely out of character, Euan almost violently grapped Raven's defenseless hand, and kissed it as any fancy, pompous, gentelman would. He was appropriate enough to not go up the length of the arm though. Still, this specific master of the elements being so intimate with anything was as awkward one's parents speaking of their daughters days of pottey training to the congregation of a sweet sixteen party.
"Please, you are most certainly welcome into the ranks of my students. It seems that Gabriela now has another rival. These halls have left her droll with her past rival's constant long trips to the isles. Oh but I go on. You must be tired." Having now released Raven's hand, Eaun was now concentrating on a presence located behind both of the girls. His romantic charm then dropped, and he returned to the serious tone that he usually let on.
"Oh sorry, I was mis-informed. It seems your test is not yet over." The master of the water element stepped back slowly, returning to his original position, prior to approaching and abusing Raven's hand. It was evident some other form of conflict was about to begin. However, after a second of thinking, Euan quickly ran to, grabbed, and then pulled Gabriela away from Raven. He then whispered into her ear,"Guess who's here."

Raven faltered, surprised by the Master's bold move. She chose to say nothing of it, dipping slightly in an informal curtsey before straightening, her head bowed in slight before she looked up.
"Thank you for having me here, sir." Raven smiled faintly, disappointed in herself as she reviewed the match in her mind. She sighed lightly, when she noticed the Master pull Gabriela away from her. Her gaze trailed from his own, over to where he concentrated on, suddenly alert by the man's sudden demeanor.
"I suppose it isn't over." she murmured mostly to herself in response to what Master Euan had spoken of. She was now keenly aware of the energy that belonged to another. Her shoulders slumped, relaxing as she chose to keep as calm as she could as another approaching conflict was beginning to arise.

"Erm. Okay..." Gabriela tried to make out the person in the shadows without bursting out laughing at Euan. Her eye wouldn't stop twitching so she covered it with her hand. Whomever that person was, she couldnt really see them what so ever. But... there was something about the water surrounding him that concerned her. It seemed warmer than the ones yards from him.
She didn't shrug Euan off, but instead sheathed her sword within her shield and just put her hair back in a ponytail. Now that she didnt have the burden of her shield's weight, Gabriela could think. With the water, she reached out and finally realized who the person was.
"Ash...?"

"That wasn't very nice of you to summon me, after I told you I was on vacation." Emerging from the shadows was the teenager, Ash, one of the very few fire elementals that did not affiliate themselves with the Fire Empire to the West. It was evident by the rings under his eyes that he had been traveling all night to get here. The glare in his red eyes demanded to know if it had been worth it from the water master, a man who controlled people just as much as the element in his title.
Despite the rage hiding itself away, Ash was grateful to be near Euan and Gabriela. The past month or so was pretty lonely without familiar faces, and no one that wanted to become familiar faces in the future. But the likely pair was accompanied by a stranger, a woman to be precise. Ash could only assume she too was a water elemental, like so many Euan conversed with. The assumption only made the teenager's presence all the more unnecessary though. "So let me get this strait. You want me to fight her, and then take Gabriela on a date?! Euan, do you lay in bed, thinking of ways to torture people, or does it come naturally? Oh well...I'm sorry for this. As was Ash's tradition, there was no long pause for introductions, prior to the fighting. Like always before, he just jumped right into the elemental conflict, only taking a long breath when he needed a strategy. For today's first move, the fire elemental began simple. He only launched a few fireballs at the water elemental, nothing too big. He then stepped back a few paces, giving himself distance for a possible counter-move or follow-up. Typical normal tactics for the moment.

Gabriela's face blushed a deep crimson and she turned away from ash, glaring at her master. "Are you trying to plan out my life for me?" She groaned and stalked off to the wall behind Euan. She took out her sword and began polishing it and keeping herself busy. No way was she going to do anything other than that. She had already been used once already.
Her eyes kept on wandering back to Ash, and then back to her sword. They went back and forth again and again, until she got tired of the charade and left her weapons unattended. If raven was going to fight him, she'd like to see that herself. Gabriela went over the possibilities of the fight and found that she couldnt imagine a clear winner. Another thought popped up, If Euan hadnt wanted her to observe this fight, then he'd have said so. So... there should be a reason as to why she was still here. "No, Ash, The torture comes naturally to him, what he has to think about is to whom he applies it to and when is the best time to introduce that plot twist."

"Master Euan? Disrupting people from vacation? Shame on you, sir." Raven smiled half-heartedly, the Naginata flexed in her hand as she glanced to the man who emerged. "And I hope the torture is more for Gabriela than you, sir," she spoke, addressing the stranger Gabriela identified for her as Ash. Her smiled broadened, the palm of her right hand ascended, drawing from the air the water molecules to condense upon her hand, her skin dripping wet as she reached out to grasp one of the fireballs as the Naginata shot upwards in an uppercut to smack the second of fireballs away.
As the first fireball came into contact, she closed her hand around it, the wetness almost protecting her hand as it doused the fire, her hand cutting off the oxygen supply to extinguish the flame.
"I have only a little knowledge of the use of fire. It is one of my weaker Elements. You will most likely see me one day to change that. I aim to strengthen all of my Elementalistic abilities to a notable degree. I have people back home that will require my assistance, and I will not return empty-handed. I owe them everything."
Raven chose to keep on the defense, allowing Ash to feel out his appropriate strategy. She equally wished to see what he had to offer. With hope, she would lose on purpose just to see him go on a date with Gabriela. A short laugh broke through as she reflected on that aspect. It certainly cheered her up slightly. Even as she stood, she could feel the connection between the Elements. She felt the difference in power, and the very emotions attached to them. No doubt this man was not very pleased to be here as he stated, taking his stance some feet away.
Keeping herself keen on his movements, Raven exhaled, brushing the ebony bangs from her line of vision. The cat-like pupils of the emerald optics dilated with great interest as she took her own stance, Naginata at the ready.

Fire manipulation, along with the gift of water? What an intriguing proposition. The idea was not surprising though, considering there had to be some hybrids. It had little consequence in this fight though, for it was obvious that Euan would not permit Raven from burning Ash to ashes. Not to say that he wasn't authorized to turn others into black dust...
Defense was usually a very easy thing to break. Even the most fortified structures can, and had been defeated simply because of one man's actions within the walls. No rock or metal has been able to withstand the power of a strong river or an ancient wind. Raven's simple defensive style was no different, even if she were to use water against him. The only hard part was to decide in how the castle walls would be breached.
During the planning process, something black and fast caught Ash's eyes, if only for a moment. A bird had whipped past one of the palace's extravagant windows, casting a small shadow upon the stone floor. Quickly, the teenager fire elemental knew his next action.
In preparation, Ash gathered power into the soles of his wrapped feet. He then strode closer to the water elementist, but didn't come within too close of range, as her weapon was still daunting. Castles always did come with some sort of defense, such as a catapult or snipers hidden amongst the dark windows.
Once his feet were slightly glowing, he knew it was time to begin the assault. Gaining speed thanks to the push of his element, Ash started to circle Raven, drawing a ring of fire in his wake. He didn't stop after a complete 360 degrees though. Rather, he continued his path, speeding faster and faster, gaining momentum until his image was more of a red and black blur, the color of his clothing, hair, and eyes.
Within a few moments, Raven was surrounded in a pillar of smoke and flame, all thanks to Ash who would not stop running. Actually, by now the propulsion was causing him to slightly lift in an upward spiral, increasing the height of the flame. Now encasing his enemy in heat, Ash tried his best to launch a series of simple attacks; plumes of smoke, fireballs, and even the rare whip of flames were all lashed out at her. There was no indication that he intended on stopping either.
Around and around he went, where he'll stop, no body knows. The aim was to stop once Raven was unable to continue though, if that wasn't obvious.
