By "chord players", you mean people who play nothing but basic chords day in day out?

And do nothing but play basic chords day in day out? All they ever do when they pick up a guitar is play basic chords and never anything else?

Anyway, I still stand by what I said before, that if you sound good it doesn't matter what you're doing. It's just that I can't see how anyone can sound really good playing only basic chords...

They don't...but to the uneducated over music they don't understand that what they play is no good. All they hear is the different strum patterns and they think its different.

Maybe all chord players care about is impressing the idiots who don't know anything about music.
