Abenobashi: Magical Shopping ArcadeIn a nutshell: This anime is a spoof and parody off of Alice In Wonderland. This series can be hentai in some moments but its very fun. I love how the characters have a southern accent than a northern kind of accent..it makes me happy for some odd reason. This story is different from most anime you would see. Its basically something everyone whould have in their collection. Characters: The two main character is Sasshi and Arumi. Sasshi is a hentai and video game guy whom loves this shopping arcade world thing they had fallen into. He keeps meeting this mysterious women whom wears revealing outfits, which gets Arumi jealous. Arumi is Sasshi's best "girl" friend whom they grew up together, in the first couple of episodes her dress keeps flying up and she'll end up beating Sassi for looking. (this sounds like a twisted Love Hina series to me) Plot:Sasshi's world is in disarray. His best gal pal, Arumi, is about to move away, and his Osaka neighborhood is being demolished in the name of urban renewal. However, this little neighborhood has some surprises under its concrete -- it's actually a portal to parallel universes. And when this section of the city is leveled, the portal is cracked wide open. Sasshi and Arumi soon find themselves being hurtled from one strange world to the next! Making matters even more surreal, is the fact that these worlds seem to spoof and mock popular movies, video games, manga and anime! Music: I love the theme song. Its not too happy but its not sad..its a mix of a hiphop/pop thing. But it is very amusing and i would love to buy the CD. Though, the ending song is very wierd. Instead of showing normal anime endings, there is a slideshow of pictures of the real Japan, but i also find that pretty cool! Art: The art is great! Its different from most anime would have which is fine. I love different things. other:Abenobashi is also a manga but too bad it only has two volumes. You can also buy the CD at suncoast. I give this anime: 4/5 the manga cover Arumi and Sasshi acting tough XP Arumi the second book cover anime DVD cover

R.O.D-The TVIn a Nutshell:R.O.D-the TV series takes place 6 years after R.O.D(OVA). The TV series introduces 4 new characters (well 3 new characters, but thats only if you read the manga). Nenene Sumiregawa who is Yomiko's friend, and is a well loved novelist, is off to go sign books for her beloved fans, however somebody wants more then just an autograph. Somebody attacks Nenene, but before they can do anything hasty, the three paper sisters step in. The paper sisters consist of Michelle Chan who is a ditzy blonde and is the oldest of the sisters. Her special paper master is long range projectiles such as in bow and arrow. Maggie Mui is the middle child, but for the middle child she is the tallest of the group and is also the strongest and quietest. Her paper abilities excel in puppet paper. Last but not least is Anita King who is the youngest of the sisters and is a bratty, short pink haired, 'get out of my way or I'll kick your a**' girl. Her special abilities lies within offensive attacks and kicking the crap out of people. Anyways, the paper sisters work for a person named dokusencha, and he orders them to be Nenene's body guards. At first Nenene doest like the idea, but as they spend time together, she grows quite fond of them. Well the sisters also have other missions to do besides protecting Nenene. They have orders of collecting stolen books that belong to the British Library. Well if you dont know by now, the British Library was burned down 4 years ago (2 years after the OVA) by a mysterious person. The sisters ponder of why they would want them, but hey, its books after all, and all books need to be saved!! Anyways, on Nenene's spare time she is trying to find Yomiko Readman who has mysteriously disappeared...and she disappeared around the time when the British Library burned down...Well as time progresses, the books stolen from the British Library seem to be together thanks to the paper sisters...However an encounter with Dokusencha tells them other wise that these books along with Nenene are very special......Now its time for the old characters to return. A certain book is missing, and Yomiko is the person who has it...The paper sisters and Nenene find her, along with Nancy, but Joker has also located their whereabouts...what will happen...and what are these books for...its up to you to find out... Characters:Well they did it again! Characters were great as always!! The two main characters that intrigued me was Wendy and Junoir. Wendy because in the OVA series she was the ditzy clutzy blonde who would always drop her papers whenever she walked in...well in the TV series, that Wendy is gone. Wendy is now mature and does her work promptly and correctly, and she doesnt trip anymore. She also killed a scientist and shot yomiko in the arm which tells you how much she changed. Junoir also intrigued me because when I first saw him, he had the same ability as Nancy, ability to phase. (if you dont know, Junior is the same age as Anita and works for the British Library) Plot:Plot again was great! I loved how they kept the same concept from the OVA series. Retrieving a book, keeping it away from evil hands, and learning why the book is so special. I like how they also extended the plot as well, like protecting a person, and rescueing a person instead of a book. It had alot of Irony and dramatic scenes that made you want to watch it!! Also the British Library, is now the bad guys. Music:Music as always is great! I love the opening music!!! they didnt have the remix classical music, but the music was still great!! Art:I just love how they kept the art design from the OVA series, instead of totally changing the art and making it feel like it was a whole new anime from another universe. They kept it the same which made it feel like it was the R.O.D we knew and loved. Other:I would highly recomend you see the R.O.D(OVA) series first because if you see the TV series first, you may get confused near the end. O and R.O.D-the TV series has 26 episodes. overall... 5/5I dont think it was as great as the OVA(there was something missing) but it is still very very good!!!! It so good I start watching reruns of it!! Pic: YA!! and my two fav characters are Nancy and Michelle..and Yomiko..and Anita..and Maggie..OH I cant decide, I like them all whee

Last ExileIn a nutshell: The mechanical designs are brilliant, fusing sci-fi with classic Victorian aesthetics and Industrial-Revolution technology. As for the story itself, it's pretty mysterious so far but gives us just enough information to tantalize. Who and what are the mysterious Guild that hovers above the battlefield and appears to have far superior technology to the combatants? Why are they fighting in the first place? And who set the very strict rules by which they fight? Characters: The characters were well drawn and the personalitys matched the plot very well. Plot:Prestel, a world filled with the atmosphere of the time when it went through industrial revolution remains. There lives Klaus Valca, a 15 year old who using the Van Ship (a small flying ship) left behind by his father, made his home in the sky along with his childhood friend Lavie Head who is also 15. Their dream was to surpass what their fathers couldn't do and that was to pass through the storm known as "Grand Stream". But, one day, a mysterious girl Alvis Hamilton, aged 11 is entrusted to them by the battle airship Silvana and they get dragged into a battle that shakes the world. The world of Prestel where a sea of wind and clouds stretch out. The Grand Stream, sweeps across high in the skies. Two countries that confront one another, Anatorel and Dysis Music: The Theme song is so great, one of my favorite anime music songs. It kicks a** with other anime songs. Art: Steampunk isn't a genre you see much in anime, but this is certainly a worthy example. The art is truly gorgeous, with an ethereal feeling that really suits the 'air battle' theme. The animation is smooth, with truly excellent CG effects and gorgeous art direction. The aesthetic style and colour scheme are a bit reminiscent of Witch Hunter Robin, with subtle colours used to great dramatic effect. Overall:4.5/5Here you can watch the opening song: http://www.lastexiledvd.com/trailers/trailer_hi.mov

*drool* BISHIE ALERT! Anyway, I think I'll review Naruto. Mostly everyone knows it, but...well, I'll just say I was saving up for a Steel-Plated Ninja Band for ages, because my avi's old outfit was the one that made her look like Sasuke's nonexistent daughter. That's why I have red eyes (Sharingan). And come on, my hair is SO Uchiha.

NarutoIn a nutshell: Ninja fighting and angsting and loving (or wishing they were). Lots of the fighting and angsting part. Not to mention some really creative weapons and methods of attack. I must say, the fact that the evil people use music as their weapon makes me just a wee bit annoyed, though. Characters: There must be seriously fifty characters, each with their own plot and background. The thing is, they have such nice designs, and such interesting personalities, you have to love them all. There are no two exactly alike, although there are some really cool similarities. Not to mention the abundance of bishies. Plot: Well, there about twenty or so plots in Naruto. Below are just some quick summaries. In the Fire Country, there is a hidden city called Konoha (Leaf), where ninja train. The best ninja in the village is the Hokage. A boy called Naruto wants to become the Hokage when he grows up, but there's only one problem--the village's old enemy, the Nine-Tails Fox (Kyuubi), is sealed in his stomach. When Naruto graduates the ninja academy, he ends up with two teammates, Sasuke and Sakura. Sasuke is the last living member of the very noble Uchiha clan. His older brother killed all the rest to test his abilities, and now Sasuke has sworn to kill him. During an exam, the uber-ultra-enemy Orochimaru gives him a curse seal marking him as the next body for Orochimaru's soul. Really bad way to put it, but without taking five paragraphs to explain Orochimaru...yeah. The seal makes Sasuke more powerful, so he's not minding all that much. Sasuke is a little bit borderline evil. Nevertheless, almost every female character to appear ends up with a crush on him. Cue Sakura, resident girl of the team. She has pink hair, is probably the biggest Sasuke fangirl of them all, and her name is a kind of flower. 'Nuff said. In the manga, she actually gets pretty cool after she becomes the apprentice of the Hokage. She doesn't have much of a plotline outside of being Sasuke's almost-girlfriend. Not really, but he was decent to her before he...continuing. She and her childhood friend Ino had a fallout when Sakura discovered Ino also had a crush on Sasuke. They are now bitter rivals for Sasuke. Oh, yeah, and Naruto has a crush on her. Love triangle alert. Music: Awesome. The BG music is this mix of traditional Japanese instruments and modern rock. It's really cool. Not to mention the openings and endings are so much fun to sing I die. Especially Ryuusei and Go!!!, which happen to be from the same season. Art: Nice enough. There's definitely a difference in character design. Even minor filler arc characters have very nice designs (*cough* Fuuma clan *cough*). I grew up on Rumiko Takahashi, though, so pretty much anything impresses me. Backgrounds are just as varied. Every country has its own individual style. Wind makes me think of ancient Arabic architecture, Fire is a little African, and Snow is just classic Japanese...but the snow is cool. Too bad it became Spring. Forget I said that... Overall: 4/5 On the left is normal, everyday Sasuke. On the right is Sasuke when his curse seal is active. The pale guy is Orochimaru in the first body we saw him in. Sakura. See what I mean? She cuts her hair at one point, and a huge, dramatic big deal is made out of it. On the left is a bunch of Narutos. On the right is Naruto when the Kyuubi takes control. I figured that if you got to see curse-sealed Sasuke, you could get Kyuubi Naruto.

Personally, I like the anime better. It's hard to follow battles in the manga. But the manga is up to part 2, in which Naruto almost looks cute, and Sakura gets really kick-a** and awesome. Before she apprenticed with Tsunade, she was really wimpy. Now she can make small earthquakes with a punch.
That was awesome.

Yes, I'm new. But I have an anime to recommend! And, with the ones I've seen, some I'm going to have to check out. But so far, I love Love Hina and Naruto. (Actually, I'm a little obsessed with Naruto....XP)
Comic Party
In a nutshell: Comic Party is an anime where the main character, Kazuki Sendo, is dragged to a fan-comic convention by a classmate named Taishi Kohanbutsu. After experiencing the event (where another friend, Mizuki, gets lost and trampled), Taishi talks Kazuki into trying his hand at creating his own fan-comic. As the story progresses, Taishi 'trains' Kazuki with a slew of other characters while Mizuki tries to keep Kazuki in school and in her life.
Characters: Kazuki Sendo: The main character, he's a kind guy that is dragged into the world of fan-comics. He's a talented artist and makes a lot of friends during the series. His one flaw is that he lets Taishi talk him into things.
Mizuki Takase: Kazuki's childhood friend. When Mizuki is dragged with Kazuki to the comic convention, she is trampled on multiple times and seperated from her friends. She hates Kazuki working with fan-comics, and tries to keep his attention on her.
Taishi Kohanbutsu: He's the comic relief. He always calls people 'My brother/sister' or 'Comrade _(Insert name here)_'. He is obsessed with getting Kazuki to create fan-comics, and is especially talented at making him do what he wants.
There are more characters, but they are too many to post. So I just did the main ones.
Plot: Taishi and Kazuki are a team of two, joined later by a girl named Yuu, that are making their way through the world of fan-comics. Throughout the story, there are little extra's hidden throughout the anime. And example would be when they're shopping, there's a rack of pringles in the background. Or when they go to a cosplay restaurant, and Kazuki dresses up as a character from Wedding Peach.
Music: Pretty addicting, if you can find it anywhere else.
Art: Fairly detailed and runs smoothly. Not as good as Ceres: Celestial Legend, but better than most.
Overall: 4 and a half stars. It's extremely funny and entertaining. I recommend it for anyone who likes the humor from Naruto or One Piece.

OMG!! I love comic party!! I saw that about a year ago or two, can't remember. It always made me laugh.
I love it how the guy either gave up or continued his manga, it just shows you how hard it is to come up with a manga (i had a manga series of my own, but after two volumes i gave up because buying thematerials was too much)
