I'm not sure I would want to eat one in the first place. I love swimming, and to have that taken away... But most likely I would anyways. ^__^
Logia, all the way. To be a Mera Mera would be kick a**, but really any Logia would be freakin sweet.

I'd want to eat the kaze kaze no mi, and be able to control and become the wind. I'd make twisters, shields of wind, wind blades, I'd be able to glide above the ground, and water wouldn't be an issue because I could turn into bubbles and float up.

If i could choose i want a Kuro Kuro no mi. (English) Clone clone fruit.
Then i could be everywhere. And when i want them to dissapear they dissapear and *puff* then i know all what they have done. That's my fantasy. Hehe^^

I'd eat it. Even if I was a good swimmer. Which I'm not. The only problem I think of having a fruit is knowing how you get it. I mean alot of people in the anime knew they got it cause of helpful things moving along the way. I may wonder and wonder and never know. I would hope for a Paramecia or a cute animal zoan. Anyway my fruit would be;;
Gomu Gomu Fruit;; I'd just love to be able to make parts bigger and stretch. xDD I just like how unique it is. I could think up a couple more of attacks and never fear bullets killing me.
Hana Hana Fruit;; Man, I would love having this fruit. I would be able to sneak into anything and steal popcorn from people. Hana Hana is an ideal for anyone that wants to prank someone or other things.
Doru Doru Fruit;; It's creative uses. That's for sure. It be hard to break and would be fun to make something. Dunno what else I would say about it besides it's a cool creative fruit.
Baku Baku Fruit;; I played this fruit in a diffrent one piece gulid ounce. It was awesome! I would love to be able to eat anything and then eat myself and make me all skinny. I wouldn't have to worry much of my weghit or anything.
Mane Mane Fruit;; Just to screw with people's heads really. That be about it.
Mera Mera Fruit;; I never liked being touched by fire cause well it would burn. Having this fruit would help me not get burned by it. Plus like Ace I could use a boat and fly into the air using fire and such.
Supa Supa Fruit;; It be fun to have blades as a part of me. I could deflect stuff and then not be hurt by swords. I could think a few more attacks for it as well.
Toge Toge Fruit;; Just want to be all needle-y. It be fun. That's all I could say about it.
Horo Horo fruit;; Fun to control ghost and be one in a way and then make all kinds of cool image stuff.
Awa Awa fruit;; I'd have fun using this one. Get to touch people and weaken them. Plus I want to use them shoved up people's nose.

I'd want to teleport, that would be epic! Vanishing in a puff of flower petals, like Robin's limbs when she uses her power. xd Or I'd really like to have the power the Honey Queen had, you know, turning into water and such. Ace's power is far too amazing. xd

i would eat it right away,if i became a pirate my goal would be to eat the first devil fruit i stole!!l!!.MY devil fruit would be kinda like black beards but instead i add gravity not take it away.

I would like a paramecias type. Maybe a clone-clone fruit? It gives the user the ability to transform into anything non-human and also make seperate clones of himself or objects. That would be cool. Suddenly, a gun appearing out of nowhere and shooting ur enemy with it? sweet

What about a teiku teiku no mi (take take fruit) that's a one time use just like the yomi yomi no mi. It lets you permanately take the devil fruit power of someone else, and make them lose their power.
