Ark snarled. "Back off, now!" Ark was ready to strip away all the armor he could before he could let Titan anywhere near Victoria. He leaped out of the water to the bank on Victoria's side to try and better attack. "Don't you DARE go near her!" Ark screamed in anger, his fur prickling on end, his muscles flexing, his teeth twitching for something to be placed in them.
Victoria gasped, darn it! So close. Ark could of hurt the male real good if he was able to the keep the mask off. Growling in her pup voice, she grew frustrated. Why was this male picking a fight with them!? Surely he had better prey than his own kind! Besides, Victoria was a pup, not much for a decent meal!

Titan smirked. Ark had just helped him pinpoint Victoria's location. He stood off against Ark, moonlight glinting off his armor, watching him. Again he ran towards his brother, this time at an angle. Instead of veering away like last time, he used his tail to trip him and headed for Victoria, picking her up in his jaws by the scruff of her neck and making off with her. He tasted blood and realized he was holding on to her too hard and he loosened his grip a bit. Her weight was slowing him down but the trees were getting denser and he could weave through them easily. When he thought he was far enough, he crawled into the nearby den. He blocked caved in the entrance, leaving a small space for air, and went lower into the underground cave. Finally, he set Victoria down and he watched her, noting the similarities between her and Sonet, wondering how it was possible. Was she a neice? Sonet said she didn't have any siblings.... He frowned, unsure of what to make of this.

Ark was stunned. His front ankles wee bleeding and scared up, but more importantly, the yelps and crys of Victoria sent him into a terrified dash towards her. He could hear her crying for him and he could smell blood. HER blood. "Victoria!" Ark shrieked. "DAMN YOU TITAN!" Ark screamed and hurriedly ran down the scent of his adopted daughter.
Victoria was stunned to see the male but even more so to see the scenery flying around her. "Ark! Help me!" she cried, feeling a stinging pain on her back, making her quake and cry in pain. "Let me go!" she whimpered, trying to fight off the male unsuccessfully. "Plllease," she sobbed, "Let me go!" It was dark in the cave and she shook, curling up around herself away from the male. "Ark! Ark!" she screamed for her adopted dad but she knew it was probably to late for her. She'd soon be dead.

Titan glanced back at the entrance, hoping the small hole he'd made would seem to be part of the scenery. The wind was starting to blow harder now and he knew it would probably blow away most of their scent. He grunted and flattenend his ears, having no idea how to calm down a pup. He ground his teeth together when she called for Ark again but he knew she was calling for Ark because he seemed like the bad guy. Hoping to at least silence her yelps, he stroked her back with his tail. Woops, too hard again. He heard a soft oof as the force of his stroke sent her sprawling to the ground. Alright so, no contact for now. Remembering her neck, he leaned down and licked the wound, trying to show her that he wouldn't harm her. Not purposely at least.

Ark nearly lost the blood trail but he could still faintly catch the scent of his brother. Trotting forward, careful not to loose it completely, he made a vow to himself to either save Victoria, or avenge her. He wanted so much to avoid the second option because the only reason he would have to avenge her was... he shook his head not needing to imagine that right now.
Victoria yelped and tried to crawl away from the male, bleeding on her back again. "S-stay away from me!" she sobbed, her body trembling with fear of this larger, scary male. "A-Ark will save me and you'll be sorry!" she sputtered out, shaking so hard she was barely able to form her sentence.

Titan flattened his ears and whimpered softly. He wanted to try to be on friendly terms with her but she was too scared. Her mentioning of Ark wasn't enough to anger him anymore. He scooted to the other side of the cave, thinking it was his closeness to her that was frightening her. Licking off the dried blackberry juice on his hind leg, he sat dejected in the corner, and whispered, "Help me Sonet." before looking back at the entrance. Maybe it would just be best to let her go. The glow of his mark would certainly help lead her in the right direction.

Victoria scooted as far from Titan as she could, cowering behind a larger bolder. She was still in panic mode, trying to decide if it would be wise to try and make a run for it. Deciding by he speed compared to hers, she'd be blocked before she got half way to the entrance. Whimpering a little more quietly, she wanted for someone to come. Come and help her. Would anyone?
Ark felt the cold wind picking up and the sky over head clouding with black puffs. Great. A storm on its way. Huffing he continued, in more of a hurry now that the rain threatened to whip the scents off the earth to him. "Victoria!" He yelled in a horse, shaking voice. "Victoria!! Titan let her go!" Ark began to beg, losing the scent again. "Please! Let her go!"

Titan looked back at Victoria. He walked to the entrance and shoved away the excess dirt, before padding back in and whispering, "You can leave anytime." His voice was low and full of sadness. He felt that he had somehow failed Sonet by not being able to get Victoria to like him. Dragging himself to a corner, he sulked. The pitter patter of rain could be heard and he hoped Victoria wouldn't catch anything. He could hear the faint sounds of Ark but his brother could take care of himself, although he did look a bit thin.... He worried for Victoria, and kept shooting glances at her, hoping she would leave and stay at the same time.

Victoria was very confused, unsure whether to leave or stay put to be found. He seemed.. less threatening now he had been washed over with what seemed like anguish. Slowly walking out from behind her boulder, she edged out towards him. She didn't understand and it baffled her. "W-who..are you?" She asked, her tail still tucked and her low to the ground.
Ark was out side, racing against the storm, trying as hard as he could to catch the scent. "Victoria!" he screamed hoarsely, eyes welling in his eyes. "Victoria!" he sobbed, having to lean against a tree for support as she tried to figure out what to do.

Titan turned to face her, surprised that she hadn't bolted as soon as she could. "I am Titan, Arks elder brother." he told her. "And you are Victoria, if I am correct?" he asked. Watching her, he was suddenly curious as to who her parents were. Were they some far far relatives of Sonet and she just happened to look very similar? he wondered. "If you don't mind me asking," he started. "Who would your parents be?" He didn't suspect Ark, since Ark was very loyal as a pup. Even grown he seemed to be that way and he didn't think Ark would leave behind a mate.

Victoria didn't know what to answer first. Her name, or her parents. Her name was easiest for she started there. "..yes..I'm Victoria.." she whispered, quietly, then paused before answering the second. "Ark's my daddy.. I don't have a mommy.." She looked down, as if ashamed. She didn't remember much from her earlier pup days. She only new that she was alone after a bear attacked her and a female who was with her. She told Victoria to run, much like Ark did. She listened to the female and when she escaped, she tried so hard to find the female. When she did after a few days, she was sleeping. Victoria tried to wake her up and tell her she needs a bath but she wouldn't wake up. She staid with the female, worrying herself to starvation. Usually the female would give Victoria this white water to drink but she was awake to give her anything. Thats when Ark found her.. he told her that the female wasn't going to wake up. Victoria didn't believe him at first but eventually, she went with Ark who took good care of her. She missed him terribly right now and prayed he was alright, without her.

"Ark?" he asked, perking his ears to make sure he heard right. If she didn't have a mom, either she left or was deceased. He pressed his lips into a thin line. Ark didn't seem too affected for some reason, and Victoria wasn't old enough for the death or disapearance to have been a long time ago. Still, he was curious about her lineage and he asked, "Do you remember what your mother looked like?" He tried to loosen his expression, to make it more soft, so that she would be more likely to answer.

Victoria thought hard. She could barely remember the kind lady's voice, and her imagery was blurred. "Well.. she, she looked just like me.. Only she had more red on her face and one of her ears bent like a little puppies does." Victoria smiled a little then added quickly. "Just one though." She loved talking about the woman who saved her and fed her. Sometimes she would find herself whining for the womans comfort, probably something that wouldn't ever come.. She could still hope right? Maybe Ark was wrong and she woke up with out Victoria there! Oh, no! no no no! The lady tried so hard to save her and Victoria just seemingly ditched her while she was recovering! Victoria felt a knot grind in her belly and she felt sick suddenly.

At first Titan could only stare. It couldn't have been Sonet, right? He had made sure that none were still alive. At least... he had made sure of Sonet. The pups were all bloodied, he had thought he wouldn't have needed to check them. And the surrounding snow could have lowered the body temperatures of the ones who'd survived while also covering the fog of their breath.... Maybe Victoria just happened to drag herself towards Sonet? No. Wolves are very protective of their pups and the parents would have made sure they weren't close to the scent of bear, much less Asmodeus's Army. He looked back to Victoria, anguish filling him. What if she really was one of Sonet's pups? His pups? Then there was a possibility that the others could have survived but he had left them for dead. Seeing the pain on Victoria's face, he suddenly knew why he felt so protective of her. He got up to walk towards her, to try to make her feel better, but then he remembered what happened before and he sat back down with a soft whine.

Victoria was caught off guard by the whine and furrowed her eyebrows. "Whats wrong?" has she said something to offend? What would talking about her history had done to upset him? She shook her head and trotted very cautiously towards him. "Don't be sad.. please?"
Ark gave up as tears stung his eyes in the heavy rain. He'd only be able to do one thing at this point. He slung his head back, parted his lips and let a howl rip from deep in his chest, covering the sky in a sorrow stricken cry.
