Kaiya listened to her friend, amazed at how bright she kindled. Joy seemed to radiate from the mare, and it was hard to stay down or blue around the young mare. Truly she was a joy. . . . and the angeni thanked the gods for sending her her way.
Her ears did p***k when a mention of stallions entered the conversation. A chuckle escaped her maw, and the mare gave her head a tiny shake in disbelief. "A stallion, you say?" Pawing at the the ground, reaching to pick off a few stuck leaves and twigs now tangled in her coat, she added, "You make it sound so easy. And trust me, I believe you are indeed right. Fate works in mysterious ways, and you never know what opportunity lies in wait on each and every day. One must take all these things in stride, you know," she added with a grin. "But I think I shall leave the stallions to you and the other mares of the world. I fear I'm much too dedicated to my work." And hadn't that been one of the reasons for driving off her betrothed. . . .?
Well. . . his cursing hadn't helped matters, and her heart had been stubbornly handed to everyone fully but him. No, Kaiya wouldn't and couldn't go through such heartache again. . . . She was much too busy. "Certainly you wouldn't mind entertaining a few, would you?" She grinned, ruffling her feathers. "Unless, of course, you're smitten with a Prince Charming all your own. . . "
Chuckling, Kaiya peeked up at her new friend and gave a little shake of her head. "Trust me, I couldn't imagine harboring your energy. I'm quite certain come the end of the day, I'd be passed out and unable to rise. You truly are an amazing mare, don't ever forget that." She spoke true, amazed to have met someone so kind, so bubbly, and so chalk filled of life and living! The mare she had met was one in a million. . . . and she wouldn't so easily forget her!

Baah, no matter what Pascale said Kaiya would not give herself the fun she deserved! "My my my." she then mumbled, while smiling all the while. Did Kaiya expect her and other mares to deal with all the stallions, then? "Well, if ya think about it, you are just pawning 'that' job on us other mares. But, I guess we all pick the jobs we want and stuff." And truthfully, she could probably be good at that job compared to others! That meant it was one less thing for Kaiya to worry about, too!
"And I haven't found my princes." she then answered, while lowering her head with a light shake. "I meet stallions all the time, but most of them are kinda shady. Plus, I intimidate others easily. Can you imagine that? ME intimidating others?!" she then brought her head back and allowed her hair to move out of her eyes. "I'd never consider someone my prince if they refused to look past my traits." Seriously, some stallions were not-confident and stupid! "But don't worry, none of this stuff ever gets me down! I may be noisy but at least I am patient." She had enough sense to wait for what was right in the world.
"I like to believe we all have a prince charming out there, or maybe even a few possibilities." She WAS a lover of fairy-tales, so it was no surprise that she adored that one especially. "I like to hope that even the quietest of mares finds the happiness she deserves. Same goes for stallions. We all should be blessed with any kind of opportunity!"
In truth, she didn't want to worry Kaiya with her nonsense talk. But once she got going, she usually couldnt't stop! She was passionate about the strangest things. But there was something about love and affection that sounded... perfect!
