Pich grinned at his uncles compliment and gazed down at the dead calf, he would have to remember to take it easy next time, especially if it was something large enough for Shai to use. He couldn't fathom how one got the pelt away from the flesh.
"I'll remember to be more careful, the furs were very warm." He nodded softly and bent to tear away a bit of the calf trying to tug the pelt away with his smaller fangs. He managed to get a strip of the fur torn away but it quickly became a torn mess as he ate.

Barafu watched proudly as his nephew attempted to skin the animal and as he ate. He really could see this cub as his son. He wanted him to grow to be just like himself and Shai, powerful, ruthless. It made him wonder if he would have cubs himself one day, if Shai was capable of it. There would be only one way to find out, time would tell.
"If you ask her nicely, I'm sure she'll teach you how to do it properly. I imagine she'd be a much better teacher than I would be in that specific area," Barafu replied, reaching over to pat the young cheetah's shoulder.

"You think? I'll remember to ask her, maybe if I bring her something like a rabbit she can show me." He purred and arched up to his uncle's paw his bloody muzzle curving with a contented smile.
Despite being away from his parents and siblings the cub couldn't have been happier, his aunt and uncle would teach him well and someday he would go back home and show his family just how great he had become.
