Lorien dove in and her legs transformed into a fish tail. She and her pet meat Buttons swam out to greet the only other 2 beings at the beach. "Why hello there!"

"WAIT!" She called after fishman but it was too late. It seemed he had done something to stir the water up and the jewel must have fallen. "Now we'll never find it!"

The merman swept though the depths as he made his way towards the beach, rising and skimming just beneath the surface when he got nearer.
