Nintendo Dogs is a fun game for about a week after that you kind of get tired of it.

Its fun at first.... But after a while it gets lame. Well of course your only supposed to play the game in short controlled bursts.... And since it was the only game that I had... Overall to me, I didn't find it to have lasting value. To me, it was only a novelty. Cute though

It's a good game. I just bought a dark colored cavalier named Chesnut, and he's a faster learner than my Shiba Inu (Cherry). He learns most of tricks in three tries.

In Nintendogs, you basically get to buy a puppy (it never grows into a full grown dog, though... stays a pup forever), take care of it (food, water, baths, walks, etc), teach it tricks so you can enter contests to win more money (obedience and agility contests, etc), and other similar things.
The great thing about it is that the interactions are fairly realistic. The puppy is cute! Also, if you neglect it for a while, it won't die.
However, in order to train your puppy, you have to speak commands into your mic, which can get tiresome. Not only do you end up spitting on your screen, but you also need to pronounce commands the same way every time, in order for your puppy to learn it (harder than you might think!).
Overall, it's a fun game if you don't have pets of your own. It's not really a super-engaging game, though. You play for half an hour once or twice a day, and there's really not that much else you can do. I like it, but personally, I find the new Super Marios game much more fun.
