Random question!
If we choose once season, would that be also seen as the one season Queen we are going after, or is it just whoever wins picks whatever one they want?
Say, if I did a entry on Fall, but liked the Winter Queen?

I would, prefer that people describe what they like about the season associated with the Pala, but since I made no stipulations (not everyone likes or has experienced the winters I am familiar with for example) ... then using your favorite season will do.
Should add a small element of suspense about what Pala will be chosen regardless of her actual season. (goes to add one more limit)

A Freestyle Poem by Lanthiriel
San Diego summers stretch on and on, or at least that’s what they want you to think…
True summer, the summer that makes your skin tingle and your blood dance only lasts from about mid June through the first week of September.
That’s when the stars wake up and the sunset lights the sky on fire. A time when the thunderstorms in the mountains light up the sky and set the very air to trembling. When the sweet salt scent of the ocean drifts ashore to mingle teasingly with the soft perfume of flowers. And all the while the waves are coming in and crashing, crashing against the shore…
When crickets serenade you at night and gentle birds trill their morning alarm. And sitting as King over all, the Sun shines down like a glorious, golden jewel set in a sky of pure azure, while wisps of white cloud float serenely by. Cool sea breezes kiss and play along your skin.
Then, Night falls and bonfires dots the beaches, their scents of burning wood and roasting marshmallow mixing tantalizingly with the scents of clean sweat and salt water and suntan lotion. And when the stars come out, billions of tiny, flawless diamonds twinkle at you from a bed of deepest blue-black velvet. Then, the Moon rises, cloaked in white radiance and a soft, rainbow aura, watching benevolently until the fires die down and the waves come in to lap the sand while the gray whale’s song lulls you to sleep…
San Diego summers stretch on and on and on…

i've got a question :3
is there a limit to what kind of mediums can be used for this contest?
per say, i like to edit video clips (taken by my friend and i) and make a short video to music? =)

Um...we'll I'm on dialup but, with the help of the other judges (whom I still have to nab but we have time) we could...probably include that in the judging? I wouldn't make it too long though? But that is indeed a creative idea!

Entry!I really don't think my love of summer needs any more explanation than the fact that it contains perfect days like this one. (I took this photo last summer, about an hour and a half's drive north of Los Angeles.)
