She stopped to think. "Hmm, I dunno. You probably have more experience than I do at this, you live on the beach afterall. " Without hesitating for a moment to worry about getting dirty she started digging deep into the sand, looking for the wetter stuff buried down deep.
Rosie giggled as she dug deeper. "Maybe we could look for buried treasure while we are at it."

Rain nodded, "I guess that is true." He had lived there a while now. It was an interesting thought. Had he lived there now longer then he had with his father? He wasn't sure but it felt like this life was now more real then that one had been. This made Rain smile and smile widely. He was happy. Rain want happy that he was with Rosie as well. This caused him to blush as he realized he wasn't helping with the sandman.
Rain walked over to the water and made a rainbow bucket to carry some water in. He then brought it over. "This might help. That sounds good. I wonder if Hula Bob hasn't found it all!"

{{ Oh crap that totally reminded me about sally and hula bob's date! Gah so sorry! Did you still want to do that? }} Rosie happened to glance up at Rain, distracted from her digging by something in her voice, and happened to catch what she thought might be the most genuine, happiest smile that she'd ever seen on Rain's face. It always felt like to her that there was some little part of him that seemed a bit sad and it in turn made her feel a little bit sad, especially with his power. Rainbows always seemed to bring joy to people, she hoped he was beginning to understand that he was the same way. He brought joy to people...at least to her anyway.
"Thanks! So what kind of sand man do you think we should make?" She stopped digging long enough to consider what he'd said about Hula Bob. "Well that's probably true. I've never met him but from what Aunt Sally's told me he doesn't leave the beach. He probably knows every nook and cranny...err pebble I guess."

((Oh, well Hula Bob is in the event right now worried about the bar. So, we might want to wait till after that. Unless she wants to help. biggrin ))
"How about a Sandman Hula dancer?" Rain figured he could find some nice seaweed for the skirt and then maybe an old coconut for the bar and so on. He then began to wet the water and ball up the dirt that Rosie had dug up.
Rain nodded. "Yeah, I'm sure you are right. I'm sure he has seen all there is to see on the beach." Rain chuckled.

"Oh that's a great idea Rain!" Rosie exclaimed and started to begin work in earnest. "What part are you making the head or the body?" she asked as she started to pack together the sand. "Maybe we should make her a surfer friend too so she doesn't get lonely?"

Rain nodded. "That's a good idea. I'll work on the body." He then went back to packing the sand and making a pretty nice big round body for her. He looked out to the lake to think on how to get the seaweed for the skirt. It would require swimming. He nodded to himself before getting back to the body.

As the red demon girl continued to work she began to hum a soft tune, no song in particular really. It was a habit she'd gotten into while working on her roses in the gardens to amuse herself and if truth be told she wasn't even aware that she was doing it anymore.
"This is nice. I like spending time with you. It's peaceful."

"You know I like spending time with you too." Rain smiled to her. He really did. It felt nice. He didn't worry about things or think about things. He just was in the moment with Rosie. He very much liked it.
Rain then looked to the lake. He'd need the grass/kelp soon. "I guess I should go for a swim." He told her with a smile.

Rosie looked up in alarm. "What? Right now? But it's gonna be awfully cold won't it? I don't want you to get sick." She looked him over in concern half imaging that he was looking a little peakish already.

"Don't worry it will be okay." Rain said before giving her wink. He then went to the water and put his feet it. It really was cold. Shivers ran up and down his spine. He chuckled to himself as he wanted to be brave for Rosie.
Luckily he didn't have to be too brave as he spotted some of what he was looking for a few yards away floating at the top. The angel waded over and pulled them out before getting back out of the water and back to Rosie.

Rosie had risen and walked to the edge of the water with him, the tide just reaching the tips of her toes. "By the guardians that is cold! I guess swimming is out of the question! " When he reached her she took the seaweed from him, exclaiming "Oh this will be perfect!" and headed back to the sand hula dancer to add it around her waist.
As she sat back to admire it, Rosie thought she saw Rain shiver. "Oh poor dear I bet you're freezing. I wonder if we could start a fire. Or perhaps you could sit down and I could cover your legs in sand. That should keep them warm right?"

Rain looked at himself and nodded. "That might be good. But I could try this." He concentrated and created a rainbow beach towel. He smiled as it looked pretty. He then wrapped it around his shoulders and looked to Rosie. "Want to join me?" Rain wasn't sure if she was cold too, but he thought he'd offer. He held out one side of the towel so she could get in it with him.

Rosie smiled and wrapped herself into the towel next to him. She loved his power. How could one not smile seeing a rainbow? "Wow this is pretty warm for being made of clear light." she exclaimed, not expecting it to be so toasty.

Rain smiled. "Thanks. I think that it depends on the item it is meant to be. Like the slide was pretty solid." Rain remembered that for a long while back. Or was it just that if felt like a long time back. The angel looked to Rosie with another smile. "I think our sandman looks good."

Rosie laughed at the memory. She couldn't remember much of that time anymore but that day stuck out brightly in her mind.
"Hmmm...I think she's missing a little something still....Oh I know!" Rosie slipped out from under the towel, searching the beach sand carefully until she found two fan seashells and pressed them into the sandwoman's top half for a bikini top.
"There! She's absolutely perfect now! We do good work together." She huddled underneath the rainbow towel again, shivering slightly from being out from under it.
"What shall we do now? It's getting kinda late but I don't really feel like leaving yet. "
