How did they get here? Just what instinct drew them both to this spot? It would forever be a mystery. But there was no denying the fact that now, here they stood. Together again. As Kabili spoke, his words to Kilelo seemed like those of a lion years his elder. Those words were spot on, though, and she nodded weakly in harmony.
"I'd still be searching..."
Kilelo mustered up some energy and gave the male a half smirk. How did he know her so well? She was so grateful for it either way. The girl was still working on figuring herself out; with some help though, she'd get there. She was sure of that. Specifically, with Kabili's help. Their search had finally come to an end. They found just exactly what they had been looking for. Each other. Now, that was all they had. A new chapter would soon start up. Something new to yearn for, something new to find. This time they would do it together. When she spoke again, Kilelo's voice had a bit more confidence,
"Yes Kabili, together. There is no other way."
There was a firmness to her words that was usually missing. The gray female surprised herself with it for a few moments. There it was, the change, already taking place. She looked to her Kabili, both adoration and pity in her eyes. They were both spent; so exhausted from their efforts. Before anything, they would need rest, that was a certain. She placed a paw on his, her heavy eyes gazing into his bright jade ones,
"Now what?"

Kabili smiled weakly at Kilelo, it was unintentionally if only because he was so exhausted. It took all of his willpower to not collapse before her, in fact his legs were shaking a bit with the effort it took to keep him up. No he didn't want this moment, this perfect time, to end but he knew that they needed to relocate, somewhere where it would safer to collapse peacefully. If they got out of the open, maybe to that cave by the cliff not too far away, then they'd be able to relax.
After all it was incredibly clear that they were both very tired. He push against her softly as he stood.
"Always."
He agreed as he started to turn away. He looked back at her and gestured with his head for her to come with him. They'd at least go into the shade, he might be exhausted but he was sure he'd wake if any danger was close. A part of him never really slept to begin with.
"Now, now we go over there and rest."
He replied looking back over to the cliff.
"The gods know we need it."

Kilelo's weary, thin legs wobbled as her friend softly nudged her; it had been a long day. A light smile held firm on the female's gaunt face as she nodded slowly. Rest was a word she'd just about been dying to hear; she hadn't done so in so long. How could she have, when there was something missing? She couldn't have rested until she filled that void.
Now, hearing Kabili's voice, she knew her weary paws could stop roaming.
"Rest, yes, I think I could use some of that..."
Ki's odd colored eyes followed her young companion as he started to move away. Thankfully, he was thinking ahead. On her own, Kilelo probably would've passed out on the spot, not worried of any danger that would come to her. But she wasn't on her own anymore. In her mind, she had to keep an eye on Kabili, not that she'd put up much of a fight anyways; it gave her peace of thought. Begrudgingly, heavy paws lifted once again, ready to follow the male where ever it was he lead her.

Kabili chuckled at Kilelo's response. It was clear to him that they both needed the rest desperately, The both had spent so much time alone, so much time searching, desperate to fill the void that had been created when they were forced to part ways. He had been young then, he was young still, but she had been the only one who truly saw him for what he was, a twisted soul, and still liked him. His body trembled reminding him that it was time for them to move.
"I think that we both can."
He told her taking a few steps towards the cave. Soon they would be in the comfort of somewhere safe and they would both get the sleep they needed. He sure as hell needed to take some time and let his body recover.
"Come on, it's not very far away."
He encouraged constantly looking back and forth from her and the cave. He'd do anything for her, if there was the slightest indication she wouldn't be able to continue he'd carry her the rest of the way if he needed to no matter how physically exhausted he was. He wasn't alone anymore.
The sooner they got there the sooner they could rest.
