Kaelia smiled. "I guess it makes sense to like enjoying yourself." She took another bit of her food. "Want to see my power?" She asked. It wasn't anything that special, but to her it was. Still, makeing things glow might seem silly to him.

Hey, he didn't even have to ask! That made it a lot easier. For a few brief moments, Magnus actually set down his bag of grapes. "Well, since you offered, could you?" Even when asking questions, his voice remained as smooth as silk. "I must admit I was curious when you mentioned your power." Magnus wished he had a power. Then again, he supposed that his intoxicating manner may have been a power within itself... no matter.
"Do you need me to do anything, Kaelia?" How polite the teenaged fae seemed! Too bad the majority of it was just an act.

"No, but thanks. I have the power of fiber optics. Which means I can touch them and make them glow. I do like flower and plants best, but since we are on the beach." She looked over what was around her and decided to try the fork. I seemed to light up a little.
((I'm rusty on what she can make glow and what she can't. I should reread her power thing.))

(( It's cool. *pats* ))
What? Was that fork glowing? How was that possible? How did a fork turn neon! Magnus looked utterly baffled for the first time that Kaelia had seen, and to see his charm break probably looked pretty silly. He pointed at the fork and gestured, not knowing what to say. ...Then, he began to realize he probably looked ridiculous and chuckled sheepishly in an attempt to calm himself.
So much for being Don Juan.
He'd still try to recover though. "I... wow. That is a very interesting power, Kaelia. I'm intrigued." The fae of intoxication watched the fork curiously. "So you can make all things glow, or is the power restricted to only certain types of objects?"

((Okay, it said fiberious things. Plants, clothes etc. I'm not sure a fork would be fiberious. Oops.))
Kaelia looked at Magnus and smiled. He seemed shocked but maybe he liked it. "Well, the slip said fiberious things. Mostly I make plants glow. When I was small I was lost by my mom in a cave. In this cave were glowing plants. I guess that it was me all along."

(( Ah well. ^^; *pats* ))
Shocking Magnus could have its benefits. When he was up to his usual trouble, baffling him made him stop in his tracks, and the teenager wasn't quite at the point where he recovered easily from that. Of course, he wasn't causing trouble right now anyway... right?
Even if he thought about causing a typical ruckus, the more she said the less inclined he was. Now he just needed to satiate his curiosity. "You lost your mother?" Did her mother abandon her because of her mixed demonic heritage? Maybe her mother was ashamed. At the same time, perhaps it wasn't that at all. Perhaps she had something in common with him. "I'm glad to see that you managed. It would be even worse if you hadn't."

"Thanks, I'm glad Hibiscus was with me. He got me through it until my sister Luau LuLu found me. Not sure what happened to my mom. My dad was sure she was on an elder mission, but why did she take me that far? I don't know." She often wondered what had happened to her mom.

And she was found by her sister! While Aysu was his adoptive sister, it was a very similar situation. Magnus's eyes briefly lit up when she made that that remark, but he quickly muffled that in favor of saying less about himself and more about her. "That's very odd. I hope your mother comes back eventually."
Her mother was an elder? That held a lot of responsibility. He had heard Criofan and Texas talking about being elders at one point, and Magnus quickly began to wonder why anyone would want to be bound by all of those responsibilities. "How many siblings do you have?"

"Yeah, me too." Kaelia did often hope that her mother would be found. Then agian sometimes she didn't. What if she left here because she didn't love her? These sort of thoughts jumped into her mind now and then and it worried her to see her mom again.
"Luau LuLu and my brother I've never met. That's it. My dad never found anyone else or bred again. How about you?"

Magnus should have known the question was coming, but he was hoping to avoid many questions about himself. He wanted to satiate her curiosity about her! ...At least this question wasn't all that personal. "I have five siblings, but none of us are related; we just all consider each other family." The teenaged fae nodded. "I have two older brothers, a younger brother, and two older sisters."
He wouldn't volunteer their names unless she asked, though. Getting information out of him would definitely be an uphill battle. "We all live near the Pae'il Headquarters in a house that has a rather large swimming pool for Aysu and Zuri," oops, fumble, "my naiad siblings... Where do you live?" That was a nice way to get it off him, right? Where would a demonic mix live?

"Wow that's a large family. I'm sure you don't have to be blood related to be one. I know that our family is very close with Jazz and her family. So, I guess we could be a bit larger." She had heard this and seem them around alot. She just didn't really grow up with any of them. Sometimes Kaelia could feel very out of place. She looked like them, but was she really a part of them?
"Oh, well I live with my dad right now. We live in the apartment above his bar. It's very nice, but messy. I think he was used to living all alone until I moved in." She chuckled.

She lived with her father. Meh, that wasn't too interesting. It just provided someone to mooch off of. Admittedly, Magnus did the same to a great extent. He smoothly chuckled at her remark about how sloppy the apartment was. "Well, when no one else is around, there is no one to really show off for. So, people tend to get lazy in their cleaning habits. No need." Magnus shrugged.
Now to think of more questions so she hadn't the chance to ask him any. "Your father owns a bar? Interesting. What bar is it, by any chance? Perhaps I have seen it before." Then he would truly know where she made her home. Was it a dark, seedy place? Was it a bright and sunny place like the beach they sat in the sands of now? All of these were very important questions...

"My dad is awesome as he would say. He owns Hula Bob's Tiki Bar and Grill. He's Hula Bob. It's a beach bar that seems like a nice place to hang out in." Kaelia told Magnus with a smile. He dad seemed well liked by everyone that hung out in the bar. Kaelia finished off her sandwich.

Was that where he sent Texas? With the father of the girl he was taking out on a date? Uh-oh. Magnus had better be a bit more careful than he had planned to be. Her father wasn't all that far away if Magnus slipped up and she wanted to run to daddy... "Oh, really? I've heard of that place. I think your father is well liked by most everyone on Telrunya Isle."
He slowly glanced around the beach, though it was hard to tell if he was admiring the scenery or just trying to make sure that there was no one watching their date. "So you live on the beach?" Magnus chuckled. "I suppose I didn't pick a new location for you then. You're probably a regular on these sands."

Kaelia looked around too. "I guess that's true. It's okay though. I think I'm still getting used to this part of the Isle. Once you leave a cave the open spaces of the world seem so big." It had seemed big and bright at first. It was okay that they had gone too far from her new home. It felt safe that way.
