Maion watched her, a sadness lingering behind his eyes. She seemed somehow broken to him, it was a delicacy he had not yet encountered, and although his Mother had attempted to prepare him for such an occasion the really thing was far more daunting. Taking a deep breath he closed his eyes, allowing his Mothers words to flow back to him, she had indeed been wise. He remembered her saying once that all living things longed for the same things, you just needed to find someway of connecting with them. It was a overwhelming sensation that flooded him as he forced his mind clear, eyes still closed as he imagined what the world would look like without the pain and misery around them, opening them slowly, his slit like eyes looked upon her, she was beautiful, it was surprising that she had been left in such a state considering she seemed to long to find the company of a Stallion to call her own. Eyes fully open he smiled, he was unsure how his words would be received yet he felt that it was worth a try. "Walk with me,” he paused for a moment simply watching her before continuing, “Walk with me dear Inali to a place beyond this world." The night sky had risen and that would mean that the world around them would look magnificent in its shimmering glow of the stars and the ambiance of the Moon.
Yet as he watched her he was unsure how he would be received, she seemed to determined to get rid of him, and since he longed to make her happy just like all the others he had met upon his journey he would eventually draw the conclusion that his presence brought more discomfort than good and leave her. But not yet, now was not the time for abandonment, he still needed to attempt to help her, to open her eyes to the wonders of the world around them. Even if you did feel alone it was never truly the case, he had been plunged into a world of darkness when his Mother had passed away, his mind trapped in a bitter pool of despair as he attempted to take command of the very little grasp he had, but what place was there for a freak of nature, a colt of mixed blood. His Mother had been a pure Angeni, and always seemed to strive to create the perfect son, ranting about how pure blood only would do. Sighing he shuck away the memory, he would always love his Mother; he would just never forgive her for attempting to distil such tainted thoughts within his mind. Fate and destiny where the once who danced around him, they would decide his path, and only them.

Saddened Maion watched, it seemed that she was simply begging to be left alone, a wish that he would allow her to carry out, no matter how much it stung at the back of his throat. It was yet another failure, they seemed to be racking up recently. Perhaps soon he would find someone that such things did not matter, someone who would love and care for him the same way he would for them, unconditionally.
He would always be an Angeni. There was no changing that, but perhaps between his normal duties he could add a hint of normality. Settle down, start a family.
As the sparkle of red faded from sight he turned and began to beat his mighty wings behind him before taking to the skies once more. He felt free.
